Kankakee South KOA, Chebanse, Illinois

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Nice stop to wait out the weather. Staff was great . Very helpful and easy going. Park wasnt very busy and we enjoed our stay. Lots of shade and big beautiful red oaks. The showers were ok but not on par with most KOA campgrounds we have stayed with. Water is warm but shower curtain a little small for the opening and let in plenty of cool air; perhaps the showers are not climate controlled. No cable but wifi was good. Level spots even with gravel. We camped at Kankakee South KOA in a Motorhome.

Fire Lake Camper Park, Bowling Green, Ohio

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The details for this park are not accurate in this app. No wifi and no sewer connection. This is a decent overnight stop but not very level sites and too expensive for what it is. Very long walk to use restrooms and showers which are not climate controlled. This is a $25 site max and quite over priced. Its a farm someone converted to an RV park. Easy to get to; drive all the way in to the office then turn around at the loop and back out to the overnight sites that are pull through and near the road. We camped at Fire Lake Camper Park in a Motorhome.

Lazy K Campground and Canoe Livery, Elkview, West Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is an sweaome park! A little tricky for big rigs but just fine for our 25foot coach. No cable or wifi and weak cell signal but ok with us. Shady, quiet, and Ted is a fabulous host. Decided to stay the week. Lively! We camped at Lazy K Campground and Canoe Livery in a Motorhome.

Sweetwater Lake Campground, Saint Matthews, South Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a $15 site someone put plumbing and electric in their front yard that is not level at all! We tore off a mudflap and stuffed dirt in our muffler backing in! No signs of warning either. We have stayed in level paved sites with shade, cable and sewer, wifi that works and cable with nice showers and laundry for $25! Knats and mosquitoes are terrible. Not staying here again! We camped at Sweetwater Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Grassy Pond FamCamp (Open to the Public), Lake Park, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nice place good wifi once they got it working. Cable currently down. Lots of shade and most notable are the staff. They are excellent and hosts were best I have ever seen so far. Love the confirmation email with info. Choose your site and then go check in is perfect. Restrooms not air conditioned and could use a cleaning but ok. Pricey compared to the NW side if the US but seems the east side if the US is higher with less value overall. This is a great place compared to what is in the area and we would come here again. Its not on a base. We camped at Grassy Pond FamCamp (Open to the Public) in a Motorhome.

Uchee Creek Campground/Marina (Military FamCamp), Fort Benning Army Post, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Wow this was a big disappointment. In general has a lot of potential but not maintained well and staff seems indifferent. Wifi so bad it doesn’t even show on the list. Fire ants everywhere and even moved into the coach overnight. Staff wont treat for them. Our site was not labeled, had a pile of fire ants all over by the connections, cable line was male end and too short to reach any rv, sewer pipe not threaded and leaning over so hose would not stay in well. Site was in blazing sun; our coach couldn’t keep it cool and ran constantly, and when we asked to move to shade, we were told they were reserved. Those sites were still vacant in the morning. Shower and laundry felt like a sauna even before daylight in the morning. Showers have no benches for gear to keep it dry, no shelves for soap, Automatic lights go off too soon, and needs a good cleaning. Tried wifi all night because staff said bad connection was from too many streaming campers. Couldn’t even see the wifi on the list even at 0200. Then when we left early we didn’t get any refund in spite of all the problems! Wont be stopping here again. We camped at Uchee Creek Campground/Marina (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Shopping too far unless you have other transportation; make sure you have fire ant stuff!

Rocky Mountain Campground, Rome, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Bad idea for a quick overnight stay; the park wont answer the phone. Plus by the time you go through the scary drive in your RV to find a sign saying the campground is full, you can only turn around by driving through the campground over ridiculously tall speed bumps to turn around and navigate another scary road out. Not very enjoyable when you just need a nap! We camped at Rocky Mountain Campground in a Motorhome.

Lake Park Campground, Lake Park, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Nice place for overnight stay and looks like many are enjoying this campground longer. Shade area available. Paved sites decent hook ups. Cable doesn’t work and laundry and restrooms/showers not climate controlled. we have stayed in much nicer parks for less $$. Location was easy to find and great for overnight stay. Lots of highway noise. And no discounts offered here. Nice pond and cool ducks. I would stop here again but next time would try something else just to see whats out here and get a cheaper rate. We camped at Lake Park Campground in a Motorhome.

RV Park at Rising Star Casino, Rising Sun, Indiana

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent park in every way except checkin process and wifi. We really enjoyed our stay. We are no gamblers so no comments about that. Check in signs and directions took us a while to figure out but ended up checking in at the main casino. Ignore the signs and do that but if you have a big rig, find an open spot and walk or see if the reservation desk will allow you to park in your spot and get a shuttle. Wifi was sketchy at beat me cell worked better without it. Laundry and bathrooms were excellent $1.50 each appliance. Change machine for $1,5,10,20. Concrete pads but only a few pull throughs; we had to back in. The site map is on the website and helps finding the lots. We camped at RV Park at Rising Star Casino in a Motorhome.

Adair City Park Campground, Adair, Iowa

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park and city; not many hook up spaces I counted 7 and two with water and electric. 50 and 30 amps. Separate dump station. Quiet except around 10 am when children came to play but they were funny to watch. Neighborhood cat roamed around very friendly and dog smart. Easy honor system payment with envelops on the door by restrooms. Restrooms and shower need a good cleaning. Good Verizon signal. Shady parking. We camped at Adair City Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Victorian Acres Campground, Nebraska City, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Great overnight stay! Did laundry; two washers and two dryers with change machine for $1s and $5s, folding tables and hanging rack. Beautifully maintained and park was very peaceful! Lots of maneuvering space, level, and pull through sites. Wifi was OK but not secure. Staff was friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. Easy to find and clear instructions. We camped at Victorian Acres Campground in a Motorhome.
