Atlantic Oaks Campground, Eastham, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $78.00
Overall Rating:

Best location that I saw around the Cape. We were able to travel both to P-Town and to the mainland with ease. Stayed in our 26' Travel Trailer - 2 adults, 2 kids (ages 6&8). We were in D7 and had PLENTY of room for our trailer, truck and room for the kids to not be on top of us! They do offer some sites where the doors to trailers look onto each other, we still had privacy, even though we were one of these sites (Great if travelling with multiple RV's) Playground: New, well-maintained Bike Path: located at the back of park but gets you directly on the trail. They have even marked the trail site, so you don't get lost. They have garbage and recycling on-site. Laundry: 4 washing machines, 2 dryers at main hub (not sure if there were others). Restrooms: Very clean, water pressure great! We did not have to use the outhouses. It was a very quiet campsite with quiet hours from 10pm-8am and fires must be out (with water) at 11pm. HWY-6 can get very busy, but we had no problem turning left at 7am on our departure day. We did not experience heavy traffic coming in or leaving. They had a nice shop, if you forgot something or needed a quick fix for an item. We camped at Atlantic Oaks Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Restaurant (Arnolds) within walking distance with an ice cream shop and mini-putt. Gas Station is 1/4 mile when you need to fill-up before leaving. We cycled down to Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, about a 5-minute cycle. Groceries were about 10 minutes into Orleans, but Stop and Shop was a full-service grocery store, rather than a roadside market. CCRT - left from the back of the park and we cycled 3 miles to the shoreline (Roundtrip about 7 miles).

Virginia Beach KOA, Virginia Beach, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $94.00
Overall Rating:

We used the showers over by the Tent area (they were brand new and really clean), also provided a little more space for me to shower with my two kids. The main showers that we used were also clean. They had KOA Staff picking up garbage multiple times a day from your site, but they didn't have separate recycling. The Pools were clean, activities for kids were great! We did stay over 4th of July! They had bouncy slides and fun things to do to keep the kids entertained! We camped at Virginia Beach KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

It's Virginia Beach - so there are many things to do! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the shuttle that will take you into town to the beach or to the aquarium. Passes can be purchased at the store or using your mobile device. We prefer Sandbridge Beach which is quieter with plenty of parking.
