Rock Springs / Green River KOA, Rock Springs, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

We had a full hook up Patio site we stayed for 4 nights. I would recommend this KOA there were a lot of transients as it is a good place in the middle to get places. The roads were oiled as they are all gravel. the sites them selves are not oiled and are dusty. We booked a patio site for that reason we were there multiple nights and wanted the extra privacy and the extra wind protection. Patio sites have fences around site concrete patio, patio table, and fire pit other sites do not have fire pits. We camped at Rock Springs / Green River KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If longer than one night must drive the Wild Horse loop rd. we saw alot of wild horses you need to get off the main rd take some of the two rut rds and venture out, we saw horses, elk and antelope. WHen not at your site always take in your Awning. You can set your watch to the wind in the area and it blows hard. The wind can go from no wind to 40 MPH in 2 minutes and does.

Mount Rushmore KOA at Palmer Gulch, Hill City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $113.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a patio site with plenty of room for us and our coach. Two different sewer locations on Our site. The reason for a low value rating is the additional resort fee of $10 per day we are already paying $112 per day (more on the weekend days). We have no kids to use the playground or pool... we don't use public pools. Great for families, not so much for a 55yr old plus couple. If they want to charge a resort fee make sure that it is being used by only those staying at Palmer KOA. While in the laundry a lady asked how much we pay per night we paid, she was staying at another park and only comes to use the pool. Didn't sound like she paid anything to use the pool. Palmer is the nicest KOA we have stayed at but as a value I would stay someplace else in the area that are as nice close to parks and a lot less $$$. We camped at Mount Rushmore KOA at Palmer Gulch in a Motorhome.

Crooked Creek Resort & RV Park, Hill City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $78.00
Overall Rating:

Our review in on the new owner of Crooked Creek. We made a reservation on line in March of this year for a 3 or 4 night stay. After a week I had not heard if we had a reservation or if it was accepted. I emailed and called several times trying to get a confirmation. After several attempts I gave up and had to re-plan our trip since this stay was in the middle and I was having difficulty finding the same days at other resorts in the area. I received a call last night asking where we were and that we owed for the days other than the deposit that was made in March. Long story short, the camp ground was sold. We never got a confirmation. The old owners were derelict in confirming reservation, the new owners assumed we were confirmed and wouldn't refund our deposit. The new owner was very rude and confrontational, not the way to approach a situation in a business that relies on customer satisfaction. I believe the new owners will have some growing pains in taking over. There are always issues when buying an existing business they should have done some due diligence in confirming that all reservations were actually confirmed. We camped at Crooked Creek Resort & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Dakota Sunsets RV Park and Campground, Salem, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We only stayed one night on our trip heading back west. We wish we had more time and would have liked to have stayed longer. Very well kept RV Resort, a couple permanent or long term but mostly transient RV's. Easy on and off I90. Highly recommend this resort. Big rig friendly with lots of long pull thru sites. Free Cookies and Coffee in the morning!! We camped at Dakota Sunsets RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The resort is 1.5 miles north of I90 on the wst side of rd. The sign is not easy to see. We missed it and had to turn around about a mile down the rd. in Salem. Thers is a truck repair on the west side of rd easy to turn around big parking lot in front of the bussiness.

Evergreen Campsites and Resort, Wild Rose, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $71.00
Overall Rating:

Very family friendly resort lots of things for the family and kids to do. Rain or shine. Very nice beach and small pool area, Sites are nice most are level we had a new concrete pad. some what private sites. Absolutely No WIFI.... or over air TV. They claim that the service is bad and slow. But there is none. All the wifi hotspots are not able to sign into. The IP was not able to configure. The signals were a full 4 bars when trying to sign in the message was IP is not able to configure... There was no over AirTV either... Plan ahead if you want or need inside entertainment... I.E rain or in-climate weather. We camped at Evergreen Campsites and Resort in a Motorhome.

Badgerland Campground, Stoughton, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice resort we spent 3 nights sites were plenty big spacious. We were able to get Over air TV but no WIFI or cell service. The drive way is a little difficult if there are more than one camper registering at the same time. Maybe best to unhook tow the driveway in is tight. The entrance is somewhat hard to see when coming around corner from south, there is no signage. If you see a propane fill sign slam on brakes and turn. Don't plan on using Verizon or internet there is none available. This is one of the only places in the country that we didn't have Verizon. We could not get Data or phone service. We camped at Badgerland Campground in a Motorhome.

Sleepy Hollow RV Park & Campground, Oxford, Iowa

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

One night stay on a cross country trip. Our site was not very level. We used the laundry it was convenient but did not dry a small load in one cycle. The roads were easy to navigate. Most of the site we saw for short term use were not level... or close to level. There are allot of perm sites. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Kansas City West / Lawrence KOA , Lawrence, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

The baths and showers were a little messy. The camp ground nice the sites very large. We had an issue finding the park GPS and Google had the park about a mile down the rd from where it is located. Once there it was easy to navigate. We camped at Kansas City West / Lawrence KOA in a Motorhome.

Dodge City KOA, Dodge City, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice well located KOA the only issue we had is finding the park. There was very little signage. There has been allot of new road work that the GPS didn't find GPS sent us thru some narrow streets with little clearance. After some figuring we found the resort. Very nice and clean. Plenty of room for Motor home and tow. If we wanted we could have left hooked up . 40' and tow. We camped at Dodge City KOA in a Motorhome.

Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

Large spacious sites easy in and out friendly staff clean restrooms. The park has a small old machinery museum and walking trail. We had a site that was more than long enough for our coach leaving tow attached since we were leaving early it was perfect. Most all sites had a patio table and a pair of chairs. All appeared to be roomy sites. I never felt like I was intruding on my neighbor or felt I was being spied on. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Heber RV Resort, Heber, Arizona

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

The park is somewhat tight for us. The sights were very close and hook ups were a little out of place. Neighbors sewer was basically in our picnic area. The water and electric were on the incorrect side but not a terrible inconvenience they are close and very easy to make connection. The Camp host/onsite workers were very friendly helpful with getting us into our site as well as helping with the hook ups. The only real complaint we have is the Bath/showers were always in use. We are not sure if there are 2 or more; there were 2 Uni sex doors but were in use the entire time we were there 2 days. So we never did see get a chance to use or see the bathrooms/Showers. We camped at Heber RV Resort in a Motorhome.
