Leaf Verde RV Resort, Buckeye, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Monthly rate shown...does not include electric. Park is very clean, gravel sites, heated pool, large laundry room with brand new machines (but wife reports the machines do not hold much), fitness room, rec room. WiFi is in stages of being installed as well as new dog run. Small temporary dog run in use. Slight noise from I-10 about 1/4 mile away. We received complimentary storage of our toad dolly and they even hauled it for me. Side-by-side pull through sites...you park your toad in the area behind your neighbor and they park behind you. We camped at Leaf Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Bear Mountain RV Resort, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Nice clean park we used for an overnight stay. Easy access, long pull-throughs so no need to unhook toad. Slight road noise from I-5 about 1/2 mile away. Big rig friendly roads in the park. Did not use any facilities in the park. Highly recommend this park. We camped at Bear Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Yuba Sutter County Fairgrounds, Yuba City, California

Date of Stay: January, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

For the price this is not a good value. Parking in grass field and due to recent rain they tried to park me on the road. My power cord would not reach 30' to the pedestal. Water hook-ups are underground and filled with nasty rotting leaves and who knows what else. Gate is locked at night but they provide the code to unlock. Bathroom/showers are a disaster that looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. Unless you have a reason to be in the area I don't recommend this park. Choices are extremely limited so go in with your eyes open and expectations low. Be careful with the gate as it is heavy and hard to manage rolling it open/close. We camped at Yuba Sutter County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

RV Park at Rolling Hills Casino, Corning, California

Date of Stay: January, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Spacing on sites is close with small bark area between sites, maybe 5 foot wide, all gravel pull-throughs, paved roads. Sites are not assigned. Half the park is dedicated to FEMA/Camp Fire displacements. Shuttle service to casino available, depending on where you park it can be 300 yd walk to the casino. No Cable but OTA covered major networks with decent signal. No trash dumpsters, just small cans scattered about the park. Small area set aside for pets. Fuel/C-Store w/propane at entrance to park. Casino food was good, we did take out due to smokers in the game area. Would stay here again if just looking for a quick over-nighter. We camped at RV Park at Rolling Hills Casino in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Checkin at Travelers Clubhouse first, then find an empty spot. Depending on how full the park is that can be a fun task. Truck parking area next to the clubhouse is huge if you can drycamp, and it's closer to the casino and c-store.

Eagle's Nest Resort, Ilwaco, Washington

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed in phase 1 area near main lodge. Pool was closed. OTA TV reception was decent, park cable was bad (SD only) channel video was very noisy and a few had nothing but an annoying solid tone instead of voice audio, rendering it useless. Lodge was beautiful. We didn't use any facilities as this was a shake-down on our new motorhome so we spent all of our time checking out our rig. Very dark at night, both light poles and lights on pedestals were inoperative. Pet friendly park. If we stayed here again I would opt for phase 2 area but it was closed during our visit. We camped at Eagle's Nest Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Our 2nd visit. Very clean and well maintained. No lights on pedestals making it difficult to find your site after dark. Oranges won't be ready for picking until December. We would stay here again. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel, Kingman, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, clean park. Seems popular, glad we made a reservation. Good Wi-Fi, CTV only covers the major networks. Interior roads of the park are very nice, wish I could say the same for the access from I-40. Slight smell of diesel fumes, not sure where they originate. Could be trucks with engines running in the nearby Petrol station. Fenced dog play area. Overall, a nice park with friendly hosts. We would stay here again if we need a over-night stay while traveling. We camped at Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel in a Motorhome.

American RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. Paved roads and sites. Picnic tables on every site. We stayed in the "old" section with trees, "new" section has no trees. Easy access from I-40 via access road. Free continental breakfast. Cable TV (50 channels) and Wi-Fi (limited bandwidth for video streaming etc.) worked OK. We would stay here again. We camped at American RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overnite RV Park, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Our second visit; first visit was in 2009. Dirt roads and sites. Cable TV (20 channels) and Wi-Fi worked. Easy in/out from I-40, but could easily hear the trucks on the interstate all night. Airport nearby with jets flying over maybe once or twice an hour. Park is clean but showing it's age. We camped at Overnite RV Park in a Motorhome.

Elk Run RV Park, Elk City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Military discount applied. Park was full. 50 amp was missing one leg, mgr said "It worked last night" and didn't offer any help. CableTV did not work, again mgr offered no help. All sewer connections were missing lids. Pull-through site #49 was obviously only for pop-up tent trailers, we had to back out of the site. Park is for sale and apparently is not being maintained. Wi-Fi was intermittent. When checking in we got a receipt and verbal directions to find our site (that were wrong) and when we asked for the Wi-Fi access code the manager said "there it is on the whiteboard (barely readable), I don't know nothing about computers". Access road is directly behind the Loves Travel Park and access is single lane, I had to move for an entering school bus. We would never stay at this park again! We camped at Elk Run RV Park in a Motorhome.

Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park, Santa Rosa, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Our site was not clean. There was a sewer cap on our door side with a broken lid. Getting out in the morning was very tight. Most rigs I saw leave before us, drove through empty sites to get out, we didn't have that option. Wi-Fi was slow but steady. Did not eat at the restaurant after seeing its condition from the office. Dog run was filled with waste. We would never stay at this park again! We camped at Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Payson Campground & RV Resort, Payson, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Narrow sites leave no room for awnings, picnic table or fire ring unless you have a small rig under 32'. Water pressure very low. 50amp sites for long term stays, most sites 30amp only. Park seems friendly until they have your money, then they think they can say whatever they like to you and if you don't like it you can leave, and no refunds. WiFi ok for web surfing and email, but will not support streaming movies or Skype. We will not stay here again. We camped at Payson Campground & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Desert Gold RV Resort, Brenda, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2012 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Clean park with many activities. Overnight pull through sites very tight. Palm trees, site width, and pedestal placement make parking difficult. WiFi was free for first 3 days after that you pay for Tengo access. We would stay here again. We camped at Desert Gold RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nevada County Fairgrounds RV Park, Grass Valley, California

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Our second time staying here. Appears to be neglected, access roads had huge potholes, bath rooms were borderline clean, grass not mowed. WiFi good but slow (128kbps down/28kbps up). Great water pressure, good power. Very busy park with fairground events almost every weekend. No playground or kid items, no pool. There is a small pond where kids under 12 can fish. We camped at Nevada County Fairgrounds RV Park in a Motorhome.
