Esmeralda RV Park and Campground, Dyer, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is our second visit to this RV Park. We were one of nine RV's from a Henderson, NV RV Club on a Rally. This Rally was promoted as a "Mystery Destination" Rally with no one knowing where they were going to until we arrived. The owner Linda again supported us as before. Her team was assisting our rigs parking and removing low hanging branches so the rigs didn't get scratched. The Wifi in the park was strong. The associated convenience store had a good stock of items that most RVers need. The Store also had Gas and Diesel for sales. We had 4 Trailers (3 5ers) and 5 Motor Homes ranging up to 43'. The spaces were mostly level. There were plenty of trees to shade from the afternoon sun. Once the "City Slickers" got over the initial shock of being in a remote destination they fell in love with the place. We plan another visit! If you gas up, remember that the prices are higher than the city due to the remoteness. We camped at Esmeralda RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Make sure you visit the nearby Fish Lake Valley Heritage Museum that highlights the settling of this agricultural valley. Also have lunch from the Deli inside the market and a visit to Boonies bar and grill across the highway from the campground is worth a trip. There's also a mini vineyard 1/4 miles north of the campground that we were able to tour. They do not have a tasting room as they sell their grapes to vintners to bottle.

Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground, Virgin, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $71.00
Overall Rating:

The price shown reflects the daily rate plus all local taxes minus the Good Sam discount. While it appears to be pricey, the RV parks in and around Zion National park are all on the upper end of the price range. This park is worth the price as far as I'm concerned since it is well maintained and has a a lot of activities for kids.(we had our grand kids along). The back in sites are a little hard to back into if you have a 27' or longer trailer. I've been backing trailers for 50+ years and it took a few tries to get it in the space. The spaces are cleaned immediately after a rig leaves. The support staff smooths the gravel, washes the table and cleans the fire pits for the next camper to arrive. The pull throughs are concrete and grass. Verizon Cell service was not good at all. The Park Wifi was very strong. You should make reservations as early as you can since this campground is always full. This is our 2nd trip to the park. We will return. We camped at Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The town Of La Verkin is 6 miles away with gas stations and grocery stores. The services in Springdale nearer to Zion National park and 13 miles away are much more expensive. Hurricane, UT has a WalMart.

St. George Elks Lodge #1743 (Members Only), St George, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

While this is an Elks only campground they do allow each Elk member to bring a guest. Such was the case of our group. 2 of us were Elks Members and we hosted our third traveler as a guest. Each site only has 30/50 Amp power. We were told there is water available to fill your tank. We were also told that there is a nearby park where you can empty your holding tanks. The spaces were level and wide. It made a good overnight stop. We camped at St. George Elks Lodge #1743 (Members Only) in a Travel Trailer.

Goulding's Lodge & Campground, Oljato-Monument Valley, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

Our group of 3 RV's stayed three night. I can't say enough about the operation of the campground. There was an error on the deposit paid for the three spaces, but the clerks immediately corrected the error in their computer system instead of staring at us like we were space aliens asking them to kill their first born. The cleanliness was very good. In fact when we arrived at our site, the grounds keeping crew was just finishing up raking the space and pulling weeds. They had a very clean laundry. They have free shuttle service to the Hotel Restaurant and Gift shop. This is not an economy campground. The location and scenery was worth the price. Monument Valley is an International tourist destination. We heard French, German, British English and some other dialects that we could recognize. This was such a positive experience that we plan to return in a few years. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The gift shop near the hotel restaurant is a must visit. The items sold are genuine Navajo...not genuine "Indian" stuff made in Vietnam etc. There is a fairly good size grocery store on the road into the campground. Gas prices are cheaper than the outside world (this is on an Indian Reservation) since the Navajo nation does not have to charge federal gas taxes. If you're not pulling a TOAD the campground offers (fee) tours of Monument valley.

Wahweap RV and Campground, Page, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

This is my second stop at this campground. It is a well maintained campground. This trip was with 2 fellow travelers. When I made the reservation 4 months prior to the trip I told the reservation clerk that the 3 rigs were traveling together and would like to be immediately adjacent to each other. When we arrived at 3 PM to check in they had one of us in Loop C with the other 2 in Loop D. They were able to put us all in loop D; however we were not close together. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Dayton RV Park, Dayton, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This park is very well organized and clean. The spaces are fairly close together but you will be able to put your slide out. We couldn't extend out awning out completely. The site are all very level. and I had room for my F-250 truck and trailer in our space. The Wife used the showers on site and gave her approval. WiFi was slow, but I'm guessing that people were downloading movies which slows down wifi service in any park. That's why I have my own hot spot to give me fast and secure internet service. Verizon Service was excellent. We stayed for three nights and would return. We camped at Dayton RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Space Station RV Park, Beatty, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This was a one night stopover heading to the north. This park contains all the services needed. Propane, Full Hook Ups, small but adequate store with RV Items. The shade was good after the sun started to go down. The sites were level and we didn't have to disconnect from our trailer in the pull through site. Keep in mind this is a desert location, so don't expect to have green grass, waterfalls, and deer walking through the campground... but there might be a Burro or two. We will stop here again. We camped at Space Station RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is within walking distance to Eddie's World. A mega candy, ice cream and Subway sandwich shop. We had dinner at the nearby KC Outpost Eatery and Saloon. Overall good food at reasonable prices and friendly service. It is # 1 on Yelp. There are not many places to eat in Beatty.

Desert Rose RV Park, Fernley, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This was our 3rd time stopping at this park while transiting to Oregon. This is a very nice stop with all of the amenities needed. We were in a pull through site that allowed us to stay hooked up if we didn't need to use our truck for transportation to dinner which is a short drive to Fernley. My wife used the showers and gave it "two thumbs up" for cleanliness. The staff is very friendly and directs you to your space. This is a great place for a one night stop over or for an extended stay while in the area. We will stop here again. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This RV Park is due south of Santa Fe proper You'll need to use your TOAD or tow vehicle to get to the place where you spend your tourist Dollars (Downtown Santa Fe) While many of the spaces in our section were on a slope the spaces were level. It is an open park with a lot of space between rigs. The Power was spot on and the other utilities were within easy reach with a shorter hose. The WiFi was good and I only used my discrete Verizon Hotspot to pay bills etc. Verizon reception was very good. We enjoyed ourself at the campground and in Santa Fe.. We will definitely return. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

USA RV Park, Gallup, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed two nights going to and returning from our RV Club Rally in Santa Fe. The park in a little out of town so you'll need to unhook your tow vehicle or TOAD to drive to the restaurant district. It is on the glide slope to the Gallup airport, but the last plane that we heard landing was around 9 PM. It's also on the main road thoroughfare and adjacent to the BNSF railroad. On our first stop the WiFi was a bit spotty and I needed to use my Verizon HotSpot. Our second stop accessing the WiFi was better. We camped at USA RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The Canyon Motel & RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed twice in May going to and returning from Santa Fe with our RV Club. I liked the park but as others pointed out the owner is OCD about signage. Someone should tell the owner that posting too many signs results in nobody reading them. The pull through sites on the slope need to be leveled. As a civil engineer, they could have a road grader simply moving roughly 2" to 3" of the existing gravel base would level the sites. Having said that, I'll return but book one of the perimeter sites that appeared to be more level than the pull through sites We camped at The Canyon Motel & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nevada Treasure RV Resort & Spa, Pahrump, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first time in this Resort. It was built as a membership Resort but converted to an open park around 2008 (the economic slide) It is about 9 miles north of Pahrump proper. Like Lakeside RV Park it is an anomaly in the desert. The sites were level and spacious and all utilities worked fine. The Resort has multiple pools, an exercise room, a 4 lane bowling center and a small diner serving simple comfort food. The premier sites have a small cabana and some have a BBQ grill. We will return again. We camped at Nevada Treasure RV Resort & Spa in a Travel Trailer.

Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground, Virgin, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

A very nice RV Resort. The grounds were clean and orderly and the staff was helpful. We noticed the crew raking the spaces immediately after an RV left. The crew picked up your bag of trash when left on the roadway near your rig each day. This campground is roughly 12 miles from Springville UT and the Ranger gate at Zion National park. The other RV parks are closer in, but they are older with closer spaces and cost more. For those that aren't pulling a TOAD they have a shuttle service (fee) that takes you to the Park Service shuttle pickup point. This is our second year at this Resort We enjoyed ourselves and will return. We camped at Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Mountain Valley RV Park, Tehachapi, California

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This was a one night traveling stop and the first time we've visited the Mountain Valley RV Park. We specifically stopped here as the higher elevation offered cooler temps from the surrounding desert heat. This is an Excellent RV Park although it is not full hooks ups. There is a convenient dump station which we used on the way out since we were traveling home and didn't want our tanks to have any liquid. My wife used the showers and restroom. She gave it her Seal of Approval for cleanliness. The RV Park sits far enough away from CA Hwy 58 that you don't hear any road noise. In the quiet of the night you can barely hear the BNSF and Union Pacific trains. Not a problem for us though. We will stop here again in our future travels. We camped at Mountain Valley RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is the second time we've stopped overnight at this park. It is very convenient for a traveling stop as most of the spaces are pull through and long enough that I didn't need to unhook. The sites were also very level. There was some train noise throughout the night but it didn't bother my wife who is a very light sleeper. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
