Wytheville KOA, Wytheville, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the best KOA's we've ever stayed in. The amenities are too numerous to list. They even have a bowling ally with six lanes. Only four were working when we were there but we had the place to ourselves. We met some nice folks there and we all went to the game rooom together and had a blast. They have air-hocky, basketball shooting, skeetball, and a variety of video games. The game room closed at 8:00 so we were sorry we didn't get there sooner. They serve pizza and chicken wings but we didn't try any. The pool was closed because we were there too late in the year but they have two water slides. Check in was a breeze and the staff is very friendly. I can't wait to go back and take some friends. We camped at Wytheville KOA in a Motorhome.

TN40 RV Park & Campground (formerly the Timberline Campground), Lebanon, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This park takes no amenities and no-frills to the extreme. They don't even have a map, most likely so that you can't see how many RVs they cram into the small spaces. There are a lot of full-timers here, many who don't treat the area like you would a home. The only garbage reciprocal is two football fields away from the main camping area and they don't offer pickup. The wifi worked good the first day but then they had issues. It would be considered an expensive overnight stay but okay for a last resort. The only good thing I have to say is that the water pressure was great. I wouldn't stay here if the new management hasn't made some serious changes. We camped at TN40 RV Park & Campground (formerly the Timberline Campground) in a Motorhome.

River Plantation RV Park, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

This park has so much to offer and is so close to great places to eat and so many things to do. We didn't book our stay long enough in advance and couldn't add on nights because they were booked solid. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We got here after the pools and lazy river were closed. There are a game room and a pickleball court too. I would love to stay here for at least a week. The sites are close to each other but they are nice. There is so much to do that you won't spend much time in your rig anyway. Water pressure is great. They offer wifi but it is not free. There is a walking trail that is really nice. We camped at River Plantation RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

So much to do in the area that you should plan to be here for at least a week. The Hollywood Wax Museum wasn't that great but the 5D experience with 3D glasses and laser guns in the moving chairs was an absolute blast. We'd purchased the 4-in-one package for $30.00, with the $2.00 senior discount, and were very disappointed until the last part, which was the 5D. This is a fabulous place to stay and enjoy yourself.

Willow Springs RV Park , Raton, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great stop-over spot. The lovely manager directed us to our spot and then signed us up right there. she took my charge card in to scan it and brought it and my receipt back so I didn't even need to go into the office. Sites are close but we have a small shade tree which is nice. The price can't be beat for a full hookup site. Our GPS didn't tell us about the immediate turn when coming off of the freeway to get on the frontage road and we had to drive down to the next street and come back to the frontage road. If you are coming from the west on 25 be prepared to make an immediate left turn once you get off of the freeway. We camped at Willow Springs RV Park in a Motorhome.
