Treasure Isle RV Park, Blossvale, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Clean, quiet, level. Owners were super friendly, escorted us to our site, which was on the water, no extra charge. Lots of open space, well off road. Lots of seasonals, but it was midweek in sept, so no one around. Big sites, very quiet. Spent 2 nights. Would highly recommend. We camped at Treasure Isle RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Blueberry Pond Campground, Pownal, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 3 nights. Very friendly, family oriented place. Owners live on site, and provide a community campfire with seating every night. Site was level, wooded, very clean. Quietest place we ever stayed in. Well off road, away from town, but easy to find. Highly recommend. We camped at Blueberry Pond Campground in a Travel Trailer.

If you love to shop, Freeport is your kind of town. All shopping. Lots and lots of stores. Home to LL Bean. Don't miss the maritime museum in Bath. Take the river cruise so you get a look at the navy shipyard.

Mt Desert Narrows Camping Resort, Bar Harbor, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Site was wooded, but on a hill, and had difficulty getting level. Had to borrow extra boards to get trailer level. Other then that, we loved this place. Great people, great rate for being just 6 miles from bar harbor. beautiful water view of the narrows. Very clean and quiet. They gave us passport America rate for all 5 nights. We camped at Mt Desert Narrows Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Spent a whole day driving, hiking Acadia national park. Could have spent more, but found the schoodic peninsula and Southside harbor just as beautiful with a lot fewer people. Only spent 1 hours in bar harbor, early morning, only one cruise ship in harbor. more than one ship, don't go...too crowded. Free shuttle stops frequently at campground. Used it to go into town. We drove Acadia on our own, not as crowded as summer months. Little long pond is great place to kayak.

Linkletter Provincial Park, Summerside, Prince Edward Island

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Rate was $33 Canadian. Exchange was around 30%. Campground is right on the water, Northumberland strait. They told us to drive back in and pick a site, as many were soggy and underwater due to hurricane Dorian. Sites were grass, and pretty level. We stayed 3 nights, and would recommend. We camped at Linkletter Provincial Park in a Travel Trailer.

We drove, without trailer, up to north cape, circled back to West point, where we picked up fresh lobster, right off the boat, for just $6 each. Dont miss the Potato Museum. Fries are the BEST.

Adventures East Campground & Cottages, Baddeck, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Let me begin by saying we sat out hurricane Dorian in this campground. We had a beautiful, gravel/grass site, in the shade, with dense woods at our back, which helped immensely when the winds picked up. Considering the site was on the side of a hill, it was surprisingly level. The site was adjacent to very clean, modern showers and a heated pool. The owners were very attentive, considering the situation, and offered us one of the log cabins as a storm shelter, no charge, if we thought we needed it. The area lost power overnight due to the storm, so the owner delivered tim hortons hot coffee and fresh donuts to everyone the morning after the storm. Loved this place. Stayed 4 nights. We camped at Adventures East Campground & Cottages in a Travel Trailer.

RayPort Campground, Martins River, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

About 90% seasonal, transient sites are up close to the campground road, fairly tight, but level. The grounds are shaded and the Martin river ran directly behind our camper, which was nice. People were very friendly and helpful. Gave us good info on places to visit. We stayed 4 nights. Easy drive to Halifax, and close enough to drive out to Cape Sable, Daniels Head beach, Lunenburg, Mahoney bay. We camped at RayPort Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Camping Parasol, Shediac, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Don't let looks fool you. Yes, this is a city camping park. Mostly seasonal, pretty tightly spaced. Its pretty typical of all the canpgrounds in the area. But all the sites are clean, level, and the owner and staff are sincerely friendly, attentive and courteous. Central location made it great for touring the area. Appreciated the free cable. Would stay here again. We camped at Camping Parasol in a Travel Trailer.

Chignecto North Campground (Parks Canada), Fundy National Park, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Rather expensive. They charge a park entrance fee, per person, per day, on top of the Camping fee. So it came to $50 a night, for a nice, roomy, big campsite next to the main road. We made our reservation last minute so there's that. If you tent camp they have outside sinks under cover at the restrooms for doing dishes. We camped at Chignecto North Campground (Parks Canada) in a Travel Trailer.

Hilltop Campground, Robbinston, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Great place. Woke to fog, found out they have a fog festival. Yukyuk! Lots of seasonals from Canada. Very quiet, very clean. New shower house, super clean. Nice playground for kids. Community barn for parties. Level pull through sites even on a hill. Would recommend for long term or just passing through. Very nice staff, very welcoming. Tips for other Campers:

Our last stop before Canada. Good walmart for stocking up on groceries. Get fuel before you cross, too. Visited Eastport, Lubec, working new england fishing villages. Nothing fancy but very typical Maine. Found a young lobsterman on Robbinston village docks, selling fresh lobsters right off his boat, best prices yet.

Cottonwood Camping & RV PArk, Columbia Falls, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This looks like a newer campground, so owners have a few things to learn. They had some really long pull through sites, really level, with itty bitty campers on them. Our trailer is 29, we pull with a long bed, double cab pickup. They squeezed us into a pie shaped site, with about 6 feet between us and another camper, our size. Perfect site for the little guy, and the pull through was long enough that our two campers, with vehicles, could have shared. Also, lots of mosquitoes. If you can get a pull through this would be a great stopover. We camped at Cottonwood Camping & RV PArk in a Travel Trailer.

Loved this place. Would return if we ever visit here again. Had a full hookup site with plenty of room, closest to entrance. Very quiet. Lots of seasonals closer to water. All well kept. Perfect location for exploring local haunts like Bristol, Rockport, Camden. Stayed 3 nights. We camped at Duck Puddle Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Epsom Valley Campground, Epsom, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Very helpful people, but campsite not the best. Put us in a center circle area which was all dirt, but shaded, really close to other campers, mostly seasonals. Restrooms were old and worn, but mostly clean. Not sure why, but they had a wide open grass area with trees and shade along back of sites, with electric and water at each site. Found it after we were unhooked and set up. We camped at Epsom Valley Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Hide-A-Way Campsites, Central Bridge, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Pretty easy to find. Nice layout for travelers, long pads, level, even though on a hillside. Many seasonals, but all clean and well kept. Plenty of space between sites. Quiet, clean, nice people. Awesome views from hilltop when driving in or out. New modern very clean showers at lower end. Worth the walk. Recommend for those traveling through.
