Cedar City RV Park, Cedar City, Utah

Date of Stay: November, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Value- for $45 you get a space. Know that the service portals are all bunched for two sites, so you will be facing your neighbor unless you have enough hose etc. to run under the rig. Sharing a picnic table?! There are no shade trees...its a flat gravel parking lot. We used this for a one night stopover....works for that, but would not spend any time here at all. Not too bad getting into.....will find out in an hour or so how hard to get out...but it looks doable and we are a 41' 5th wheel. We won't be returning here. We camped at Cedar City RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Palisade Basecamp RV Resort, Palisade, Colorado

Date of Stay: November, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Used this for a one night stopover. 4 stars for service as our reservation was messed up. In all fairness the mess up was handled well, and we were good to go. The park itself is very open and fairly level, well more level than not, and had some nice views. The river, and the vineyard were very nice. We sat out listening to the coyotes on the evening. Note that...coyotes...if you have small dogs, or even big ones be aware. I would stop here again, although a little pricey in the summer. Our water hookup was not available, but I carry enough hose to fill my tank from a pretty good distance, so no big deal. We camped at Palisade Basecamp RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Pony Express RV Park, Julesburg, Colorado

Date of Stay: November, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Torn in two directions.....very nice "stopover"....clean spacious sites, easy in and out, full service without cable. The restrooms and showers are at a tourist information center across the street, which appeared well maintained. If you need a way station this is it! We camped at Pony Express RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Don't turn into the information station. If you are sitting in front of it, your destination is on the right....sign is hard to see but that office building that looks closed is it....campground entrance is on right side of parking lot.

West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA, Gretna, Nebraska

Date of Stay: November, 2019 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This park is a very nice place to stay. The rate we indicated was for a month, divided by 30 not per night for a shorter term. Patios are nice, services are excellent. Even with reduced seasonal hours, we still had trash pickup, and limited propane pickup and delivery. Only negative was the camper that was placed next door....two big dogs, allowed to free roam with no leash resulting in dog excrement in all campsites around. Hate campers like that. We were here for the birth of our grandchild and would stay here again. We camped at West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Meteor Crater RV Park, Winslow, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Not a bad place to overnight. Sites were a little close, but not the worst we have ever seen. A little pricey given the location and lack of things to do locally. We were surprised that no sewer hookup was available. Park personnel were outstanding and helpful. A sewer hookup would have earned them a 10. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Valley View Mobile Home & RV Park, Fort Sumner, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

The ONLY downside to this park is that it does not provide cable. Friendly folks, large sites both in width and length, easy access and wide roads and level sites. There isn't much to do in Fort Sumner, but as this was a stop over, it certainly fulfilled our requirements. We camped at Valley View Mobile Home & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The Billy the kid museum was pretty interesting. Sadie's is the only restaurant in town, food was OK. Great place to relax!!
