Wasagaming Campground (Parks Canada), Riding Mountain National Park, Manitoba

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Very quiet at night, no trains! No reception on the antenna. The sites are very narrow and some are hard to navigate if you are towing a long fifth wheel (ours is 35 ft) without getting scraped by branches. So drive slowly, we managed! Great NP to visit, village and lake is on walking/biking distance. Diesel and groceries within 2 ml. Ohh just forget, it was a long time since we made such a nice campfire, we sure will be back sometimes. We camped at Wasagaming Campground (Parks Canada) in a Fifth Wheel.

Arrowhead RV Park, Ile Des Chenes, Manitoba

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Based on the reviews we ended up here. Great stop for visiting Winnipeg. Wifi is $ 3 a day for one device, but it works great and we could stream some movies. No cable, but a little reception on our antenna. Pull thru is on gravel, a little close to your neighbour but it was very quiet at night and the reason we where here was Winnipeg. Very friendly owners and they give you a lot of info what to see and do and where to go. We sure will be back if we are in the neighbourhood. We camped at Arrowhead RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake of the Woods Campground, Baudette, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We are heading to Canada and by reading the reviews ended up here! A great stop on the famous Rainy River. Very, very quiet during weekdays and off season. Very friendly people in the office and they gave us a pretty site just close to the office so (free) WiFi was working good. Cable is also free and reasonable. Sites are opposite each other what we don't like, but when we were here there was no one to be seen near us. We will come back if we ever be in the neighbourhood. We camped at Lake of the Woods Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Lakehead Boat Basin, Duluth, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Not an RV park we normally stay in, very close to your neighbour, you are parked on a parking lot of the marina... but: WOW, you are in walking distance of the Lift Bridge, and Lake Superior is also within walking/biking distance. Very quiet at night. Free WiFi and lots of reception on the antenna. We definitely will come back here for the experience. We camped at Lakehead Boat Basin in a Fifth Wheel.

Milton KOA, Milton, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

They offer free reasonable good WiFi, lots of good HD reception on the antenna. If you don't run your AC you can hear the Interstate, but no train!. A beautiful warm pool and a hot tub. The park is very well maintained but expensive. Our site was a pull thru, but not level at all. Some are better, so watch when you pull in. The sites are close together and narrow but long. You can chose a site on gravel or paved, the last is even more expensive, they provide a table and a fire pit. Great office and you even get a homemade cookie when you check in. A first for us. When you leave the park they have a crazy concrete road to drive on (v-shaped for getting rid of water). We camped at Milton KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Camp Lakewood Campground & RV Park, Effingham, Illinois

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Some sites are a little hard navigating into but most are pull thru and a big rig will fit. Just do it slowly. Very friendly and welcoming people. Clean and well maintained park. They serve food, wine and beer, so no cooking if you are tired. You can here the Interstate, outside and inside (if your AC is off). For an overnight a perfect stop. We camped at Camp Lakewood Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Diamond Caverns RV Resort and Golf, Park City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

As earlier comments, most of the sites are not level but we had a great site during our stay with a little wood assistence. Very quiet and beautifull park. You have to pay for WiFi ($13 for 3 days) but it was very good. No reception on your antenna. People are very friendly and helpfull. Nice pool and we love the silence. They have fire rings and picknick tables. We will be back. We camped at Diamond Caverns RV Resort and Golf in a Fifth Wheel.

Cartersville / Cassville-White KOA, Cartersville, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

What can we say, it is a KOA. We are not real fans of KOA but it said there was a pool opened after Memorial Day Weekend, so we booked and we payed 41.20 for a night, no discounts at all. Convenient just off the Interstate, otherwise we would have gone elsewhere. Check in at a hot temp of 95 F was friendly, but later on we found out that the pool was closed, we called and there was a guy who told us that we should have read the sign on the desk when checking in. Ehhh well: when you are driving all day doesn't make you read everything in front of you and it was after Memorial Day and it was HOT! We asked why and he said if you don't like it go elsewhere. Well wrong answer: in our opinion the customer is always right (even sometimes not), it was really rude, so no discounts for no pool and as we where told the pool was officially not included anyways. So that is it for this KOA: sites are close together, dust, some shade. We will skip this one next time. We camped at Cartersville / Cassville-White KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

CreekFire Motor Ranch, Savannah, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Free wifi, but Tengo. It is sometimes not very easy to get online. Once your are in it works enough for us. Lots of HD reception on our antenna. They have a very good and resort feeling, great ambiance and friendly staff when you come in, they escort you to your site. We had a gravel backin, nice with grass, a table and very quiet. No trains, no roadnoise. Easy coming of the interstate en close to visit Savannah. They have an very nice warm pool to relax after visiting Savannah. We think this is how a resort has to look like, expensive but chapeau. We loved our stay. We camped at CreekFire Motor Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Bulow RV Resort, Flagler Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

They have WiFi you have to pay for, $15 for a week. It is spotty but with a little patience it worked for us. They have free cable but you need a very, very long cord to reach the box AND you need a box inside. Within an hour it worked enough for us, but it was a hassle. It was Memerial Day weekend but they still had sites open. Park is very pretty with lots of old Oak trees. They have a great pool but now the not so good: most of the sites are buddy sites, we don't like the setup because you are looking at your neighbor all the time. We were lucky and had quiet and lovely people but we enjoy our privacy. In the back of the park there are a lot of long stayers. It looks dumpy, with very old RVs they drive way to fast through the park with very old loud trucks and motorbikes, they probably don't mind there are a lot of children playing and biking. Speed limit is 15 mph. way to fast. Despite of this half of the park is with people enjoying RVing. we will be back but we will ask for specific sites or it is a NO GO. We camped at Bulow RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Clearwater Travel Resort, Clearwater, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here with PPA Discount. The WiFi is free but was not working at the time we where here. They have perfect HD reception on your antenna. Although the park is near the very busy Gulf to Bay blvd the park itself is quiet. It takes a little patience to get into the park with all the traffic. But no worries. Getting out you can sneak through the backdoor, much easier. No train noise! Backins are a little challenge if your have a big rig, but once your are there it is a great spot. A short drive to the beach and you can bike for hours just right off the park. We sure will be back. By the way - a very nice hot pool. We camped at Clearwater Travel Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Great for an overnight stay if you dont play golf. Very quiet at night. A pitty they dont accept Ppa any longer espacially right now. They lowered the price so you can play golf for free. So not for us but we dont play golf. The long stayers dis 30 miles in the park and kicked up a lot of dust. Great management. Cable is analoge, WiFi is free and good. Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

All has been written about this park - awesome - and we have seen a LOT of other (state) parks, this one is the best. We don't give it a 10 because they offer free Wifi but it is not existing at all. No problem all the rest makes up for it. Great bicycling, 25 miles paved, great beach, great people. We will be back (if we are in the neighborhood). You have to pay Xtra 50 dollar Deposit, it was not mentioned but we found out later! It is a quiet place for a night sleep - ask for a site at the back of the park. You have to call 5 minutes before you arrive for the code of the park and if you arrive a guy will come to unlock your electric box. Nice setting in a neighbourhood. Free wifi, but there is none! but great HD on you antenna. A small drive to the beach and all atractions but the park is a just a parkinglot with grass. They have no info or whatever for you.
