Fairmont RV Park, Anaconda, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is the second time here in about a month. First time Passport was accepted for a seven day stay, this time no Passport on Fri or Sat. We were in a 30 amp spot and the power was low so we had power issues. My understanding the park is for sale and I think that might be a problem. There is no shade so AC in a necessity. Convenient to I-90 but a major food store is a long way off. Not a place I would go out of my way to come back to. We camped at Fairmont RV Park in a Motorhome.

Woodland RV Park, Libby, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

A lot of improvements have been made since this park was last reviewed. New owners have taken very positive steps to improve the park and overcome prior criticisms. The gravel sites are nestled among mature trees with full hook-ups. It is a quiet park yet right in town. Very close to the Kootenai Falls and River, as well as Libby Dam and Lake Koocanusa. The sites are large and will accommodate big rigs with multiple slides. There is a need for a Wi-Fi repeater to be installed to obtain a signal in the back of the park. The management is very pleasant. The town of Libby has a very nice grocery store, Ace hardware, franchise as well as non-franchise restaurants, and sporting good stores for all your fishing equipment needs. The placement of the utilities could be better but they are working on that as well as enhancing the sites with new gravel. We camped at Woodland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Trout Creek Motel and RV Park, Trout Creek, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

A small park but extremely well kept with large sites that are nicely shaded. Trout Creek is a very small town but the necessities are within walking distance of the park including the post office. There is a lovely cafe and gift shop right across the street beside the post office. The management is on site and very accommodating. Trout Creek is on the banks of the Clark Fork River. There are several public boat launches and recreation areas which afford great fishing, kayaking and motorboat fun. WiFi has a strong signal anywhere in the park. Passport America is honored with no time limit. This is one park you should not miss. We camped at Trout Creek Motel and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hook-U-Up, Libby, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

This park is in very poor condition with a lot of permanent units that bring down the quality. There is no cell phone service in this area. The sites have so many trees it is almost impossible to get satellite. It is about 19 miles from Libby but very close to Lake Koocanusa which affords a lot of water sports. We camped at Hook-U-Up in a Motorhome.
