Sully's RV Park, Alturas, California

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older park and is mostly filled with permanent residents and contractors working in the area. As far as I could tell there was a limited number of sites that could accommodate big rigs. The site we had was paved and was easy to get into and out of and had 50 amp service. The people in the park were friendly and the staff was pleasant to deal with. We would stay again. We camped at Sully's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Likely Place RV & Golf Resort, Likely, California

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is the best park in the area, including Alturas. Full service with 50 amps. The roads and pads are gravel with grass separating the pads. Excellent access for very big rigs - no tight turns. We don't play golf, but the course is 18 holes and is HUGE. The staff is friendly and there is a burger/sandwich shop in the office. Beer, wine and ice is available at the office. The location is about 2 miles from the tiny village of Likely. We would happily stay here again, and on this visit we extended our stay. We camped at Likely Place RV & Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

This park is just 40 miles south of the famous Davis/Lassen Creek obsidian flows where rainbow sheen obsidian is collected.

Shop in Alturas, as the Likely store is tiny. Great wildlife refuge along the South Pit River north of Likely.
