Elizabethtown / Hershey KOA, Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are nice and overall the physical aspects of the park are nice. However, the staff is very rude. Rules for visitors are ridiculous and it very over priced. It really is nothing more than a place to park with hookups. Family in the area came to pick us up and show us around and were "informed" they must pay $6 per person to drive to our site and pick us up. That is $6 per person each day we are here. Will never stay here again and will do our best to never stay at a KOA again as they are all overpriced. We camped at Elizabethtown / Hershey KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots to do in Hershey Park, Gettysburg, and other historical sites. Just don't expect to have anyone pick you or visit you at your campsite. Prices are insane compared to parks all across the US. Poor value

Lubbock RV Park, Lubbock, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here a couple of times and found it to be a pretty nice park. Staff is helpful and friendly. Sites are easy access and average size. Wi-Fi is spotty but about the same as other parks we have stayed in. We haven't actually used the Wi-Fi because it is not free (except for a short initial period). There is some noise from the airport but not enough to be a real problem. Had a couple of helicopters come right over the park during the night and it will wake you up. The dust that another reviewer talked about is a constant in Lubbock. Of the parks we have tried in Lubbock this has been the best. We camped at Lubbock RV Park in a Motorhome.

Buffalo Springs Lake, Lubbock, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This place is a dump and they don't care. It stays pretty full with locals during summer weekends and that is all they care about. They told me that most of the sewer connections don't work (don't know if they know which do and which don't). Lots of parties (rude, loud, drunks) and trashy grounds are about all it has to offer. We camped at Buffalo Springs Lake in a Motorhome.
