East Lake Resort, La Pine, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We live in Bend, Oregon and decided to try East Lake for a few nights of local camping. First of all the road off Highway 97 to the RV Park is two lane, paved and very nice.

We travel in a 36 foot motorhome and did not take our tow car with us.

we opted for an "interior" site pull thru, we stayed in Site #40 it was on the end. The campground is laid out very nicely, the middle sites are pull thru the others are back-in. We had 50 amp and water hook up there is a dump station as you leave.

Our site was very large, clean, fire ring and picnic table. The campground is maintained so well and the campground host is on site and very helpful and friendly.

We camped five days here, four nights and it was great. We were able to walk across the road to the resort and East Lake. The area is breathtaking and you will no lack things to do or see.

Big rigs would fit into the interior sites of this campground, in fact the host told us they had a 46 foot RV stay there and had room.

There is NO wifi and there is no cell service at all. This was not a problem for us but if this is a must for you this campground would not work.

We enjoyed the campground and the nightly camp fires and will stay here again. We travel a great deal and have stayed at a lot of campgrounds etc, this is a very very nice one.

We booked our reservations on line and then had something come up so we called and talked to the owner and moved our dates and they were very nice and helpful about it.

There on line site for East Lake Resort will give you a map of the campground so you can see what the sites are and their location. Suggest bigger rigs select site in pull thru's. We camped at East Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Enjoy the lodge at East Lake resort and the lake itself.

Nice place to eat, little food store, boats to rent and great

fishing lake. Area is breathtaking and great adventure.

Take a coat with you no matter the season it is a few degrees cooler

here than in Bend, Oregon.
