Oak Plantation Campground, Charleston, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2005 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Just thought I would post a positive report about this campground. We stayed there 2-9 July this year. It was our first time at this campground and the overall experience was favorable. The pool was clean, the bathhouses were very clean. A small laundry is located on the property and another one is directly across the street. The staff was pleasant and except for one episode of teenagers crashing the place to search for hallucinogenic mushrooms in the cow pasture behind the property we loved it. Another benefit is the camper dealership next door to the campground. If you need anything major fixed they are very close. They are pet friendly and even have a fenced-in dog run where you can let you dogs run free. The only real drawback we had was the traffic on US 17 at the entrance of the campground. It was very difficult getting in and out of the place especially if you needed to turn left onto US 17. We camped at Oak Plantation Campground in a Travel Trailer.
