Newberry Mountain RV and Motel Park, Newberry Springs, California

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This park is a small site located next to Hwy. 40 and near major rail lines. Access to the park is easy from either direction and check in is easy thanks to the courteous staff. The site is gravel everywhere which in this case works great to keep down the dust on site. The night we where there the wind blew so hard the traffic noise etc. was not noticeable., The sites are large and the services well located. It appears the ponds and pool are as advertised but we didn't use them. WIFI is a bit hit and miss depending on which site you are in and the units between you and the office. This park is good value for a night when passing through. We will stay again. We camped at Newberry Mountain RV and Motel Park in a Travel Trailer.

The Lakes RV & Golf Resort, Chowchilla, California

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at The Lakes a few times and the service is always courteous. The sites are nicely arranged and always clean. Each site is separated by landscaping and it has always been well maintained. You have a choice when paying to take a reduced rate for GS or AAA etc. or a round of golf for 2 each day you stay at Peasant Run Course next door. Either way a stay at this park is great value. We camped at The Lakes RV & Golf Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Heritage RV Park, Corning, California

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Heritage RV Park is a bit of a hidden gem. It is close to all the services you need and is tucked in behind a small strip mall which means no road traffic. The sites are back in or pull-through and large enough for most units to stay at the site. Convenient visitor parking can be used if necessary. Each site has convenient full services with a small patch of grass and sometimes a tree for separation. WIFI was great at our site #71, I'm not sure about the rest of the park. Check in was quick and easy thanks to the friendly staff. Reservations are a good idea and they do fill up. We will stay again if in the area. We camped at Heritage RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Holiday RV Park, Phoenix, Oregon

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at this park several times and reviewed it as well. It is an older park that could use some maintenance on the site and roadway pavement. That said it still works fine and even in the heavy rain we experienced only a few sites were covered in water. The issue we had was the services are very close to the front of the pull-through sites which means you need long cables and hoses or move your unit to the front and park behind. This really defeats the purpose of a pull through. We will continue to stay here however, as the welcoming staff and easy access to I5 make it the perfect location to tackle the Siskiyou pass in winter. We camped at Holiday RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This park offers all the basic services you need and friendly staff to take care of you. The short stay sites are pull throughs at the front and the rear is monthly or longer stays. Services are well located and the WIFI is fast and free. The park is located within walking distance of an outlet mall. Other services are also close. Access to I5 is very easy. This is a great overnight location when traveling I5. We will stay again when traveling I5. We camped at Portland-Woodburn RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tulalip Casino Resort, Tulalip, Washington

Date of Stay: February, 2019 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

As others have stated this is a parking lot with no services behind the casino. It also has no fee. You have to register with the casino and get a ONE card to so security can record you have in fact registered. If you don't have a card they put $25 on your new card to encourage you to gamble. I believe there is a 3 day maximum stay but I don't think it's enforced. It's better than Walmart as they do have security and the on/off from I5 is easy. We will use this site again when traveling south. We camped at Tulalip Casino Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Mtn. View RV (formerly Mtn. View Holiday Trav-L-Park), Baker City, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This park is in a nice quite area away from the highway but perhaps closer to the train. The main RV sites are @ the rear of a small mobile home park. This may not sound like a good entrance but it works well. The office/store/residence is c/w an old west thyme which fits nicely with the history of the area. We were provided with a brochure of things to do in Baker City which was interesting enough to make us want to return. The site we had was a nice pull through with full services. The sites can be a little tight to get into as some of the shade trees are quite large. We would definitely stay again if in the area. We camped at Mtn. View RV (formerly Mtn. View Holiday Trav-L-Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Mountain Shadows RV Park, Wells, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small park with a few long time residents. It has both back-in and pull through sites and all seemed to have full services. The sites are grass with a gravel parking area. It rained very hard while we were there and puddles were everywhere. Services including WIFI and cable worked well. We would stay again while passing through. We camped at Mountain Shadows RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Las Vegas RV Resort , Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This park was a pleasant surprise. I didn't expect much for $30 especially when they told us we got one of the last sites when I called for a reservation. When we arrived we were upgraded to a nice spacious pull-through near the dog park instead of near the entrance. You are escorted to your site which is a very good idea as the layout of the park can be a confusing. They warned us about the barking dogs but we felt it would be better than traffic. The services worked good including the WIFI which was another pleasant surprise. I can certainly see why people return year after year when in the Las Vegas area. What great value! Campbell Cove RV Resort, Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This park has several site types and many winter or longer residents. The sites are very crowded made worse by the fact they appear to let people drive in or back in to back to back sites. This creates hook-up confusion as well as additional lack of privacy when you are face to face with your neighbor as your picnic tables are in a row. This may be good for groups but not so if you want a little privacy! The WIFI is an extra $2.50 per day but the lady @ the desk said they are getting an upgrade soon. We would look @ other parks in the area before returning here. We camped at Campbell Cove RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Rancho Ventana RV Resort, Blythe, California

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Rancho Ventanna is a 55+ resort with the lots individually owned. You rent the lot directly from the owner. The sites vary due to the owner's improvements. Sites may be bare or have an RV or Park model. The site we rented had a gravel spot for the RV and a concrete patio/parking area. In addition a shed contained a freezer, fridge and other items such as table, chairs and BBQ. Rents, depending on the owner, can be by the day, week, month or season. It is closed to all from May to October. This is a very nice, clean and quiet place with very friendly owners and renters. The resort has all the typical facilities and all appear very well taken care of. We would enjoy spending time there again if the opportunity arises. We camped at Rancho Ventana RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Potrero County Park, Potrero, California

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This park was a very nice surprise. It is as nice as shown on the web site with grass, trees and a paved area for your unit and your tow vehicle. All the roads are paved as well. In addition to camping the park also has a huge day use area, baseball field etc. The only thing you may want to consider is the park is at a higher elevation and can be cold in the shoulder seasons. A great relaxing place. We would stay again if in the area. We camped at Potrero County Park in a Travel Trailer.

Agua Caliente County Park , Julian, California

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This state park is basically a number of sandy sites, some level, most not with varying degree of services. The water and power worked fine but the sewer connection was not useable with a standard 'donut' threaded connection. The connection is so far down a hole you can't screw the donut on and attach the drain hose. Save a few bucks and get a partial service site. If you have a large unit it would be a good idea to check sites prior to hauling your unit to the park to determine size and leveling problems. All the above can be handled and results in a nice place for a few good hikes as well as the hot pools. This can be a very busy place when open! We camped at Agua Caliente County Park in a Travel Trailer.

Indian Waters RV Resort & Cottages, Indio, California

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

The park has an area with grassed sites and an area with gravel sites. Each site has plenty of room to park your unit on a concrete pad and an adjacent spot for your tow or toad vehicle. We were in a gravel back-in site and adjacent to the road. Sites did not have tables. Other than to occasional fire engine siren from the hall across the street, the noise was quite bearable. All basic services worked fine but the WIFI was only a teaser. It was hard to get on and was rarely fast enough to be useful even for basic Email's etc. We would certainly stay @ this park again if in the area as it is close to most places and is good value. The WIFI would be the only concern if you don't have your own system. We camped at Indian Waters RV Resort & Cottages in a Travel Trailer.

29 Palms Golf Resort, Twentynine Palms, California

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We chose this park over others in the area as it had a slightly better rating. The park is showing its age. It's a shame as the park layout works well for the perms, snowbirds and short term guests. It is a very friendly community. The staff were friendly and flexible as we turned a 2 night stay into 5 which included a weekend. The main item they need to fix is the internet. At present they only offer internet @ the office even though you can see towers throughout the site and observe various listings that used to work. The shape and size of the park should make this easy. We would however use the park again if in the area as it is convenient to Joshua Tree National Park and close to other services. We camped at 29 Palms Golf Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The golf next door is under new ownership and they appear to have a giant task to get the course back in shape. We played it but most of the greens are clumpy vegetation and most grass on the fairways was brown.
