Topsail Hill State Preserve, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Absolutely the most beautiful state park we've stayed in. Landscaping is awesome. The beach is 7/10 of a mile from campground but a tram runs every hour if you don't want to walk or bicycle. Full hookups. Swimming pool. We will definitely go back here again and again. We camped at Topsail Hill State Preserve in a Motorhome.

Cullman Campground, Cullman, Alabama

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

It is off of the interstate about 2.5 miles. One must go down a couple of winding county roads. It is very quiet. The owners are very friendly. It appears there are several full-time residents. Landscaping needs to be better manicured but campground is fine for overnight stay. The price is reasonable. We camped at Cullman Campground in a Motorhome.

Geronimo RV Resort, Destin, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This park is 3/10 of a mile from the ocean off Alternate 98. Large cement pads and grassy area at each site. The rating was 9, instead of 10, only because there is no swimming pool or picnic tables. The rate is excellent for this area. We will definitely stay here again. We stayed in a motorhome. We camped at Geronimo RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Campers Inn Inc., Panama City Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is part of an older mobile home park. It does not sit on the ocean as stated. You cross a very busy road and walk a narrow path approximately 2 blocks long before a visual of the beach. The price is too much for the amenities. We will not be back. If it wasn't so expensive, it would be OK for an overnight stay. We camped at Campers Inn Inc. in a Motorhome.

Carrabelle Beach RV Resort, Carrabelle, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly employees. Access to dog friendly beach a plus. Gave it an eight because the roads need to be paved, the pool isn't heated, and there isn't enough washers/dryers. Current owners have only had 5 years. No mobile homes. Mostly snowbirds. We stayed a month and will return. We camped at Carrabelle Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Crystal Isles RV Resort, Crystal River, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This RV park is situated about 4 1/2 miles from town and 4 1/2 miles from the gulf. Sites need to have cement pads (very few have them). Biting bugs and alligators so no swimming in river but the pool is very nice. There's an ice cream stand on site so you can get that hot fudge sundae. The roads are narrow. There are lots of trees. It is great for walking and riding your bike. There is no daily trash pickup at site and no escort to your site. We stayed here for a week. We would stay here again. We camped at Crystal Isles RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sherwood Forest RV Resort, Kissimmee, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2009 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

RV and permanent sites are mixed together. Sites are in need of new cement pads. Paved roads. Close to shopping and restaurants. The nightly rate is high since we had a Coast to Coast discount and still paid $38 a night. I was told the nightly rate is normally $54 a night. The park has several sites with doggie bags, which is a plus. We stayed 3 days and would definitely stay here again. We camped at Sherwood Forest RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Encore Sunshine Holiday Daytona RV Resort, Ormond Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2009 - $24.00

Cement pads are broken in several pieces. The park needs updated landscaping around RV sites. Cable is $3 extra a day. Front desk employees were very nice, but I wouldn't stay here again. We camped at Encore Sunshine Holiday Daytona RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lazydays RV Campground, Seffner, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2009 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a week and loved it. Would definitely stay here again. The reason I gave it a 9 is because they limit your stay to two weeks and there's only one grocery near by. Easy on and off access to interstate and short drive to Tampa. We camped at Lazydays RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Good WiFi and cable. Nice cement pads. Didn't give it a 10 because it is a little far off the interstate and shopping. Would stay here again. We camped at Benchmark RV Park in a Motorhome.

Ouachita RV Park, Monroe, Louisiana

Date of Stay: November, 2008 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

There are no caps on sewer and no cable TV. It looks like park is mostly working men who live here permanently. Sites could use some manicuring. We would not stay here again. We camped at Ouachita RV Park in a Motorhome.

DiamondJacks Casino and Resort, Bossier City, Louisiana

Date of Stay: November, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This place has excellent sites with aluminum picnic tables. There is a pool and spa in the hotel which isn't close. It is walking distance to the casino. Trains do come through often but they are not too noisy. It has nice laundry facilities. I thought price was little high but would stay here again. We camped at DiamondJacks Casino and Resort in a Motorhome.
