Wichita Falls RV Park, Wichita Falls, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park with huge, fairly level pull-through sites for short term guests. Excellent laundry room but we thought a tad pricey to use. Somewhat over priced. We camped at Wichita Falls RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overnite RV Park, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Good for a quick stop when traveling through the area. If you use a satellite dish make sure you ask for an open site. No WiFi but our Verizon Hot Spot did OK. A bit pricey for not having a lot of amenities. We camped at Overnite RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wendover Nugget RV Park, Wendover, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Can't add much to other very accurate reviews but the entries about dog poop is spot on. In fact there was a full bag at the back of our spot and several dropping all over the place. The casino should pay you to stay here! Darned sure we won't go back!!! We camped at Wendover Nugget RV Park in a Motorhome.

Calistoga RV and Campground, Calistoga, California

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects Passport America discount. Very easy checkin and parking in site #24, directly across from the bathrooms. Good 50 amp power but very, very poor water pressure. In fact, I think this is the worse water pressure we have seen in our 12 years of full-time RVing. Sites 16-24 are very tight together. The bathrooms are nothing fancy but were clean with very good water pressure. Very important: You can no longer make a left turn when leaving the park. This includes cars/trucks as well as RVs. The guy across the street will immediately call the police and you will be ticketed. A lot of low hanging limbs when driving on N. Oak Street along with narrow streets because of parked vehicles. We have been coming here for years so our route is always: From Hwy 29, turn right/left on Berry St. then left on Washington St. Next turn right on N. Oak St. Entrance will be a block and 1/2 on the left. I have taken the Silverado Trail once or twice but find Hwy 29 is just as easy. Just be careful through St. Helena. We camped at Calistoga RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Valley of the Rogue State Park, Gold Hill, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $2.00
Overall Rating:

Price reflects using our Disabled Veterans State Park Pass. Upon arrival we had someone in our reserved site (F30) after the 1 PM checkout time. Backed into an empty site and contacted the occupant. Was told her friend will be there shortly to get move her rig. Talked to the rangers and they also made contact with her. Waited about two hours before we could back into the site. This also happened to friends we were meeting at the park only they had to wait four hours. Noticed there was a lot of dog poop, cigarette butts and litter in the fire pit in our site. Also saw the same is a lot of the others as well. Wife used the showers one day and they were filthy. I don't think we will return. We camped at Valley of the Rogue State Park in a Motorhome.

Elks Lodge #439 (Members Only), Fresno, California

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here several times and we have never seen the park looking so bad. The grass has not been cut in a long time and the weeds are taking over. That said the manager is doing an outstanding job of managing the park. She goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. We will stay again. We camped at Elks Lodge #439 (Members Only) in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects Passport America plus fee for using a credit card. Nice pull through site near the office. Outstanding service. WiFi was down but we were able to get a great signal on our Verizon Jetpack. We would stay again. We camped at The Scenic Road RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Spent several days here when we had slide issues. Girl that runs the park worked with us making sure we had a place to stay. There are some full-time residents that need to clean up there site. New owners and they are no longer taking Passport America. We would stay again. We camped at Coachlight Inn & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wild West RV Park, Van Horn, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects Passport America discount plus tax and use of a credit card. We got there before the office opened at 2 PM so we just picked a large pull-through across the the road that splits the park. Parking is on packed dirt that is pretty close to your neighbor (forgot the site number). Excellent 50 amp power and water pressure. No problem getting a Directv satellite signal. The sites in this section are back-to-back so you may or may not get to make them into a pull-through. Some train noise that we didn't think was too bad. WiFi was worthless in the part of the park. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Wild West RV Park in a Motorhome.

BC Ranch RV Park, Alpine, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Office was closed when we arrived but the maintenance guy told us just pick a site and pull in. Site #1 was long enough for our RV and tow'd but we had to do some work to get level. Utilities are conveniently placed with solid 50amp power and great water pressure. We were able to get a Directv signal in this site. Make sure you observe the 5 MPH speed limit in the park. We would stay here again. We camped at BC Ranch RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wilderness Oaks RV Park (formerly Rockport 35 RV Park Resort), Rockport, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects Passport America discount. We were parked in #K, a pull-through the was a little short for our 39' motorhome. Had to park the towd side-ways in back of the RV. Parking is on cement that is very level. There is a page and half of rules in their brochure including letting you know in no uncertain terms that they can refuse service to anyone and that there are no refunds for unused days for any reason. Good Verizon cell service with 3 bars of 4g. Excellent view to the southern sky for using our onboard DTV satellite dish. Very noisy from road and airplanes. We camped at Wilderness Oaks RV Park (formerly Rockport 35 RV Park Resort) in a Motorhome.

Angels in Goliad RV Park, Goliad, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects Passport America discount. The turn onto Michael St. is very small and had a very large chuck hole in the center but we were able to maneuver without incident. Checked in with the owner, a very friendly gentleman, and he told us to choose any site we wanted. We chose #11, a long pull-though with parking on pea gravel that was fairly level. Angels is a work in progress for the young owners who have a lot of plans in the works, including changing the material for the parking pads. There are several full-time/long term residents but the maintain their sites very well. The WiFi is excellent (the best we have had in a long time) as is the view to the south for strong DTV satellite reception. There are no bathrooms or showers at this time but they are planning to build them in the near future. Very good 50 amp electrical service with adequate water pressure. We will stay here again. We camped at Angels in Goliad RV Park in a Motorhome.

Colorado Landing, La Grange, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects Passport America discount and paying with cash. The park charges a $5 fee if you use a credit card. We were assigned space #63, a very large back in on gravel. Very good 50 amp electric service and great water pressure. The park is very well maintained. We were able to get a strong DTV satellite signal and good Verizon cell service at 3 bars of 4g. The WIfI is excellent but we were parked right next to the office. A very nice touch is that they have free ice for guests. One complaint is that there was a dog that barked a lot from being left alone in a travel trailer a few sites down from us. My wife went to the office to complain and was told that they would call the owner to come back and quiet the dog down. The lady in the office also said that she has been getting other complaints. This morning the barking started at 7 AM so apparently the problem has not been resolved. The folks that own the dog should have been told to leave the park. We would stay here again. We camped at Colorado Landing in a Motorhome.

I-35 RV Park, Elm Mott, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects charge for 50 amp service and taxes. Arrived early in the day with a reservation which we made online. They do not accept a reservation requests on the phone because the owner does not want the employees to take credit card information by phone. First time I have ever heard that one. So, it you don't have internet access you can't make a reservation? The web site says that the park is quiet. If you count loud interstate traffic and train horns as quiet, I guess it is. Large pull-throughs on gravel with good 50 amp power and adequate water pressure. No picnic table. The WiFi is fast most of the time but slows down in the mid mornings and early evenings. Good Verizon 4g service and good DTV satellite signal. Several times during the day we had folks cutting through our site on the way to the bathrooms and showers. Very rude. We had originally made reservations at one of the COE parks outside of Waco but it flooded so we wound up here. Probably would not stay here again due to the high price and outside noise. We camped at I-35 RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rocker D RV Ranch, Mineral Wells, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects a $2 charge to use a credit card. Pulled in with no reservations but we did call ahead to make sure there was spaces available. No one in the office but someone told us to just pick as spot and the manager would catch up with us later. Went over to pay and mentioned the sign at the entrance that they offer military discount but the lady said they offer the discount to everyone. We found space 8 empty so pulled in there. There has been a lot of rain here in this area of Texas so I can understand the lack of yard care but we noticed a lot of trash on the ground around the dumpsters. Good solid 50 amp electric and great water pressure. Our Verizon cell signal was good at 3 bars of 4g service and we had a clear shot to use our onboard satellite dish. This park is about 80% long term residents. Most keep their sites clean but there are others that don't even try. We would stay again. We camped at Rocker D RV Ranch in a Motorhome.
