Dove's Rest RV Campground, Marianna, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

As stated previously this is a no frills campground. Sites are level and long with good utilities and a picnic table, that's it. Good for a overnight stop. Rate is the cash price, credit price is $45. Sites are not marked and you are led to your site. No other amenities. We camped at Dove's Rest RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Red Bay Acres RV Resort, Red Bay, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a new RV park still partially under construction. In addition to the general store / office there is a restaurant under construction. When completed there will be approximately 60 sites, with a small pond/lake in the middle. All sites are backin, level concrete pads with a picnic table. We camped at Red Bay Acres RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lonestar RV Park, Shamrock, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

As detailed previously, this is a gravel lot with two rows of RV hookups, nothing else. You now pay your $20 nightly fee in cash by depositing it in the red mailbox under the only large shade tree on the lot. The utilities work as designed with high water pressure. The parking sites are uneven and no where close to level but large in size so towing rigs will not have to unhook. OK for a overnight. We camped at Lonestar RV Park in a Motorhome.

Casper KOA, Bar Nunn, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Not a pretty park at all. Just a gravel lot with hookups. Utilities are placed in the rear 1/3 of the site and work as expected. There are few 50 amp sites mostly 30 amp. Sites are typical KOA tight, level, and all gravel. Park is located next to I-25 but road noise is not too bad. OK for a overnight or two. We camped at Casper KOA in a Motorhome.

Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort), Moran, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

All sites are completely tree covered so no roof top satellite. No cell service of any type. When it rains the place becomes a mud pit. The sites are not level or well marked and are just packed dirt. Trees need trimming and hang out into the roads and sites. Utilities are placed in a haphazard arrangement but do function satisfactorily. Bring lots of books and games there is nothing to do after dark, and little to do during the day. We camped at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort) in a Motorhome.

West Glacier KOA, West Glacier, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $76.00
Overall Rating:

Without a doubt the nicest KOA we have ever stayed in. Sites are reasonably sized with utilities located in the rear third of the site. Some sites are satellite friendly, no OTA channels, 4 local cable channels, Verizon and AT&T reception. Sites are gravel, well compressed, with ample grass between. Roads are gravel and easily managed by big rigs. Park is quiet at night and dark, will need a flashlight if out after dark. We camped at West Glacier KOA in a Motorhome.

Spokane KOA, Spokane Valley, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $67.00
Overall Rating:

Do you like trains? You must to stay here. The train tracks are less than 250' from the fence, and the trains run frequently. The campground it self is somewhat compact but the sites are adequate to spacious for a KOA. Roads are gravel, as are the sites, and easy to maneuver. The sites all appear to be level with the utilities located in the rear 1/4 of the site. As mentioned the water pressure is low when the sprinklers are on. The WIFI was adequate for light browsing but the park was only half full. We camped at Spokane KOA in a Motorhome.

Yakima Sportsman State Park, Yakima, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Small state park on the edge of Yakima, WA. Easy access from I-82. Pull through sites are adequate size if you are less than 55' in length. Utilities are placed at the rear of the sites requiring long sewer hose for connection. Site is asphalt and reasonably level with only slight use of the leveling jacks. All pull through sites are partially shaded. The back in sites are much larger but some are much less shaded. The park is quiet and patrolled by the park ranger on a regular basis. The only drawback is the site pricing, $42 for site with no pool, or WIFI, or cable is unreasonable. We camped at Yakima Sportsman State Park in a Motorhome.

Claybanks RV Park, Merritt, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

City owned RV park that is well maintained. Pull through was JUST long enough for our 40' motorhome and toad. Utilities are all grouped at the rear of the site, so long hoses and cords will be needed. Sites are very level, gravel and grass and spacious. WIFI is very very slow, cell service weak. Park roads are narrow and can be tight for large units. Park has many trees so satellite tv will need a portable antenna for reception at most sites. We camped at Claybanks RV Park in a Motorhome.

Jasper Gates Resort and RV Park, Hinton, Alberta

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

As mentioned none of the sites are anywhere near level. Sites are mostly dirt with a little gravel. Utilities are grouped near the rear quarter of the site. Water pressure is very low at 22 PSI. The entire park is heavy treed so satellite tv is a no go. The parks WIFI is useless. Cell service is weak. Not worth the price charged. We camped at Jasper Gates Resort and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Calaway Park, Calgary, Alberta

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are reasonably level, gravel, dirt, and grass. We stayed in the backin section. Utilities are haphazardly arranged with electric on one side, water on the other, and sewer in the middle. Sites are muddy when it rains. There is no useable WIFI and cell service is weak. We camped at Calaway Park in a Motorhome.

Diamond Grove RV Campground, Spruce Grove, Alberta

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is a large, wide open, plain campground. It doesn't pretend to be anything else. The sites are adequate, but not spacious. They are long enough for a coach and toad without disconnecting. Utilities are placed at the rear third of the site and have 50 amp electric, 50 psi water pressure and sewer. All roads and sites are gravel with grass between and have concrete patios with table and fire ring. Not a pretty park but a very good value campground. WIFI is OK for browsing. Verizon cell roaming is available, no cable, 5 OTA channels. We camped at Diamond Grove RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Campland RV Resort, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Finally a Canadian RV park that is properly laid out!! As previously stated the sites are all the same, in neat rows, with a fair amount of space between sites. The water & electric are placed at the rear of the site with the sewer more toward the middle. If towing a long cord and hose will be needed. Sites are level, gravel, with a fair amount of nice plush grass between sites. All sites are fully open, so satellite will be no problem. Cell service was available. The WIFI is free but slow and weak. The only drawback is the extra charge to use the pool, $8 per person. We camped at Campland RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Buffalo Lookout Campground, Regina, Saskatchewan

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Pull through sites are VERY tight and not at all level. I had to use blocks under the front jacks to get close to level and the front wheels were off the ground. The utilities are poorly placed at the rear of the site. If you are towing you would need extra long hoses and cords. The sites themselves are mostly dirt with a little bit of gravel. Just a no frills, poorly laid out, campground, charging premium prices. We camped at Buffalo Lookout Campground in a Motorhome.

Arrowhead RV Park, Ile Des Chenes, Manitoba

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Sorry, I just don't see the high ratings for this campground. The lady in the office was excellent explaining things to do in Winnipeg, the campground itself was poor. The sites are VERY tight. The entire campground is a gravel lot with hookups haphazardly arranged. Our site had the sewer on the left side and the water & electric on the right side ??? Speaking of the sewer there was a recurring sewer odor throughout the campground at various times. The WIFI is $3 per day per device. So if you 4 devices that you would like to use on the WIFI it will cost you $12 per day extra, and the WIFI is only 2.5 mbs so no streaming. All in all this is just an average campground at best. We camped at Arrowhead RV Park in a Motorhome.
