Kootenay River RV Park (Formerly Kootenay River RV Kampground), Castlegar, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful area and also a beautiful park. On arrival when we unhooked the tow bar noticed the battery was dead on the jeep. Pouring down rain and the hostess went back to get her car and pulled it up along side mine and helped me jump start the jeep. By this time we were both soaked but her attitude was great and said it was all part of the job. Enjoyed our three day stay there. Golf course across the street and up the hill "19th hole" has excellent food and great views. Also visit the town of "Nelson" which is about 1/2 hour to the east. We camped at Kootenay River RV Park (Formerly Kootenay River RV Kampground) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Kootenay River was a stone throw from the park. Lots of area to explore and hiking trails near by. Up river 1/4 mile is a swinging bridge which you can walk to from the park.
