Motorcoach Resort St. Lucie West, Port Saint Lucie, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $150.00
Overall Rating:

This place is worth EVERY penny. The property truly is a resort. Manicured grounds, fountains, golf course, gym, activities so much to mention but at great cost. Some sites have tikis, kitchens and others are very private. This place is amazing. Even the garbage is picked up curb side! Close to all interstate, restaurants and shopping. We camped at Motorcoach Resort St. Lucie West in a Motorhome.

Milton / Gulf Pines KOA, Milton, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

Perfect for a stop over. It's not far from the interstate. I will say someone put a lot of effort to help late comers without a reservation find a site. They have a box with several options and a detailed map to get you to your site safely. We camped at Milton / Gulf Pines KOA in a Motorhome.

Route 66 RV Park, Edgewood, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is perfect for a one night stay. The staff is very friendly. Bare minimal sites but accommodates rig and tow with no problem. Near a town for a bite to eat. Would return if in the area. Our site was very muddy with patches of snow and ice. We camped at Route 66 RV Park in a Motorhome.

USA RV Park, Gallup, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Easy on and off the interstate. Great for a one night stay. Didn't hear any planes or trains. Driving to site late at night can be challenging. Cable worked well. They were friendly. Site accommodated our rig and tow well. They should offer escort service late at night to sites. It's hard to see numbers. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wanderlust Crossings RV Park, Weatherford, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This place rocks!!!! They maintain the campground immaculate. They have thought of everything. A dedicated dog wash. Kids area. The water hook up insulated so it doesn't freeze. The sites are spacious. Could accommodate our 43' motorhome and tow with no problem. Easy on and off interstate. Front office very professional and friendly. The entrance is so pretty with a cascading koi pool. Well lit at night, secure and quiet. We camped at Wanderlust Crossings RV Park in a Motorhome.

Destiny RV Resort / Phoenix West, Goodyear, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

What a wonderful surprise this campground turned out to be. The staff - all of them are great. This is a great campground for extended stays. Love the security! They are located right off interstate which makes it perfect to be home base. So much to do nearby. Zoo, shopping, restaurants. The sites are close like most campgrounds. Parking your tow can be challenging but not impossible. We had a picnic table and a BBQ. Loved waking up to the birds chirping and the planes going by. At night it's quiet. They have citrus trees you can pick from in between sites. Nearby a zoo, restaurant and outlet shopping. It's an up an coming area. We camped at Destiny RV Resort / Phoenix West in a Motorhome.

Fredericksburg / Washington DC South KOA, Fredericksburg, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

It's a few miles from the interstate but worth the stop. Definitely follow the signs. I would suggest not arriving at night as there are a few rolling hills and some low branches. The moment you drive into the property you feel an inexplicable peace. The check in office very friendly and the mini store stocked well for emergency items and gift items. Gravel sites. Our satellite nor the air card worked at our site. The cable the campground provided was fuzzy. The pool was refreshing and clean. By the pet walk there's this beautiful area leading up to a small creek. At night, the campground is quiet and very dark. Bring flashlights. We would definitely camp here again. We camped at Fredericksburg / Washington DC South KOA in a Motorhome.

Gettysburg Campground, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The campground was a zoo! It's centrally located to the 150 year battlefield celebrations. There were pop up campers, primitive camping, travel trailers, & cabin camping. I got the impression some of these people had never camped before. They didn't respect the sites and walked right through them. Even with all these people everywhere it was quiet by 11 PM. They had a lot of activities for the kids right in the campground. They arranged affordable transportation to the activities in Gettysburg. Very thoughtful. There was a pet walk with garbage cans & plastic baggies, nice touch. Getting back to the interstate involves cutting through town which can be challenging but doable. We camped at Gettysburg Campground in a Motorhome.

Lazy Acres Campground, Fayetteville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

They discount with triple A card. Not to far from the Interstate. This is an old school campground, no frills. They escort you to your site, and they are friendly. Our aircard worked well but not our satellite. Its a sandy, non leveled site. It was a quiet c/g. Definitely watch for the tree branches as they need to be trimmed!!! Overall if in the area again we would stay for one night. We camped at Lazy Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Very nice c/g. Not too far from the Interstate. Clean and quiet. The sites are paved. The Dog Park was small but it did its job. The pool looked inviting. Our aircard worked well but not the satellite. The cable TV at the c/g was ok. Has curbside garbage pick up. If in the area, we would stay again. We camped at Coastal Georgia RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sunset King RV Resort, Defuniak Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly front office. This is a c/g with lots of permanent residents. It has the feel of a small village. My GPS said it was 10 miles from I-10. Easy to maneuver through the park our 37' with tow vehicle. Easy to level & our Direct TV worked perfectly. Bathroom clean. This park was very quiet. We only spent one night but if in the area again we would stay here again. We camped at Sunset King RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel, Kingman, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Great overnight spot with pull-through sites. Our satellite TV worked well. The best thing about this park is the dog run. You can let your dog of the leash. Staff are friendly. Its next to a truck stop but we never heard any noise. We did enjoy the truck wash and the Iron Skillet (breakfast) before hitting the road. We would stay here again for the night. We camped at Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel in a Motorhome.

Malibu Beach RV Park, Malibu, California

Date of Stay: October, 2012 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

We had a wonderful stay here and can't wait to return. I felt very secure. The sites are relatively level. It's quiet at night. Staff are very nice and helpful. The views are magnificent. You might need an additional 25' power cord and 25' septic line if you are facing the ocean. The laundromat is small but clean. The dryers really do their job the first time around. Dog walk is on a hill and adequately laid out with wastebaskets and doggie bags in case you forget one. A great place. We will camp here again!!! We camped at Malibu Beach RV Park in a Motorhome.

North Beach Camp Resort, St Augustine, Florida

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $130.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here in a cabin because our rig broke down. Reception was very friendly and informative. The pier side of the campground is great. You can fish, kayak or just relax by the water. Bring a flashlight at night. Its really dark. It's very close to St. Augustine. can take a taxi. The cabins were relatively clean. The TV had basic cable. I would suggest bringing soap for the shower, toothpaste and above all insect killer spray. We can't wait to return to this very nice c/g but in our own rig. We camped at North Beach Camp Resort in a Campground Cabin.
