Ocala Sun RV Resort, Ocala, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Spent the past 3 months at this park and for the most part it is good value for the amount they charge. They have just increased their number of sites to 386 so there are some growing pains as their WIFI is seriously slow or at times not available. Causes problems if you wish to update your computer and download anything. They have lots of activities so if you like to socialize then this is the place to come. The price will be going up 7% in the summer as they plan to increase the size of the club house plus other improvements. Close to many restaurants (19) within 1 mile. Nice golf crses in the area and Flea Markets. Lots of other places to see and visit in the local area and not too far from Disney world , Daytona Beach or Tampa. You only get what you pay for but overall it is one of the better places to stay in the Ocala Area. We camped at Ocala Sun RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Sites are different sizes so if you plan on staying awhile you should check it out before you setup as they are different sizes and most are back-in. When you depart the RV Park ensure you only pull out when there is no traffic both ways as their was a serious accident at the main gate this spring as they race down Hwy 484

Ocala Sun RV Resort, Ocala, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Cost per day is monthly rate. Park is able to fit all sizes of RV with a older section with 30 amp (Back-in) and a rally row (Pull-through)which is 50 amp and has lots of room. WIFI is good and cable is OK which some channels patchy. Has LP at good rates. Lots of activities and friendly persons which stay for longer periods up to 3 months or more. Some permanent RVS at the back Has clean washrooms and a pool which is great on those warm hot sunny days. Entrance is rather awkward and could be dicey leaving as there is a lot of traffic on Hwy 484. Needs tables at all sites Overall good park to stay in sunny Florida. We camped at Ocala Sun RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

New Green Acres RV Park , Walterboro, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Located off I-95, park is noisy. Sites are grass and dirt only and if wet it will be muddy. Cable was extra and WIFI was very weak and not available in most areas of the park. Washrooms heated and clean but old. All sites are pull through and are easy in and out of assigned site. No activities and only good for an overnight stay due to location just off I-95. We camped at New Green Acres RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Ocala Sun RV Resort, Ocala, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is daily over a month. Overall a nice park with many nice persons who stay over the winter. Many activities and something for everyone. Has some Pull-through and permanent trailer sites but some back-in sites are smaller then others so be aware if you have a bigger rig and they attempt to put you in a smaller site. WIFI is generally OK but some areas it is weak and if it breaks down could be awhile to get it fixed.

Cable is reliable and has sufficient stations. Located just off Hwy 484 it can be busy at the entrance with oncoming traffic when attempting to come or go. Great location for restaurants, shopping, golf courses and about 10 miles to Ocala via I-75 or local roads. We camped at Ocala Sun RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Azalea Acres RV Park, Robertsdale, Alabama

Date of Stay: February, 2011 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Daily fee for monthly rates. Park is centrally located between Mobile and Pensacola and has lots to see and do in local area. Park has large sites with some pads. Has all regular amenities but need to be near the main club house for a stronger Wi-Fi signal. Laundry facilities are very good. Owner/Staff are friendly and the club house/washrooms are very nice. No real Park activities except monthly dinner. Good for dogs with local trails to go for walks. Has nearby truck stop/restaurant, easy access on/off I-10. We would return again as this park is excellent value with great location for winter stay. We camped at Azalea Acres RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Wills Creek RV Park, Fort Payne, Alabama

Date of Stay: January, 2011 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Passport America Rate. Park was relatively new but has only basic amenities and good for only overnight stay. Sites are mainly pull through and good cable but no real WI-FI and washrooms are a good walk away. No activities or shade trees. Dumpster located at the far end of park. Would stay again but one night only and at the Passport America rate, a fair price. We camped at Wills Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Aire RV Park & Campground, Hollywood, South Carolina

Date of Stay: March, 2010 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Passport America daily rate. This park is located near Charleston and is a short 15 minute drive. Sites are grass and if it has rained recently they will be soft and messy. Washrooms are great and the Wi-Fi works well but has no cable. Friendly owners who are making gradual improvements with the park. Has a nice small lake with ducks and even wild turkey nearby. I would stay here again We camped at Lake Aire RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Hardeeville RV, Hardeeville, South Carolina

Date of Stay: February, 2010 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Passport America daily rate. This park is situated close to Savannah and is only easy 10 minutes away. It has all of the basic RV site requirements which work well. Park is relatively new and sites are large. Has no washrooms and showers so you need to be self-contained. Laundry facilities are good. Located out in the country and very few stores nearby. Only good for short stay as it has no activities or recreation hall. We camped at Hardeeville RV in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake City Campground & Resort, Lake City, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2010 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Passport America daily rate. Park is located just off interstate but has a bit of vehicle noise which can on occasion keep you awake. Park is clean and sites are well-organized. Cable is excellent, but you need to be close to Wi-fi hot spot if you want strong Internet. Friendly staff and has nice activity room and showers. Good for overnight or short stay. I would return to this RV park. We camped at Lake City Campground & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Hilltop RV Park, Robertsdale, Alabama

Date of Stay: February, 2010 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Passport America Daily Rate. Park is located just off I-10 and is good value for PA or monthly rate. Wi-Fi is very good but no cable TV is available. Washrooms were OK but needed to be cleaned a little better. Has many activities, and you are greeted by friendly staff. Sites are mostly pull through with grass or gravel, but if you have a really big rig it can be a bit tight. Lots to see or do in area, and would be a good choice for an extended stay. We camped at Hilltop RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pensacola RV Park, Pensacola, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2010 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Rate indicated is daily rate during a month's stay. This RV Park is located very close to many shops, stores and local tourist sites. It is relatively new with very friendly staff and has large sites with water, electric, sewer, cable TV and Wi-Fi. All worked well except the Wi-Fi which faded out occasionally. All sites had very good drainage after heavy rainfall. Washrooms were clean but no privacy if you wanted a shower. No activities at this park which you expect from a premium park which charges a premium price. We camped at Pensacola RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The Woods RV Park and Campground LLC, Montgomery, Alabama

Date of Stay: January, 2010 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Passport America Daily Rate. This RV Park is located just off Interstate 65 and near many fast food outlets. Good Wi-Fi and Cable TV with good sized washrooms. Friendly staff and for the price a great deal. Good for overnight or short stay, not a long term park as it has no activities and pretty barren as it has no trees. We camped at The Woods RV Park and Campground LLC in a Fifth Wheel.

North Fork Resort, Front Royal, Virginia

Date of Stay: March, 2009 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Passport America rate. This is a large park which is open all year round but this time of year it has only "Dry Camping". Unaware of this point as it isn't mentioned on their PA webpage. You pay the regular price but get no water, sewer, cable and WIFI is an extra $3 per day. If you arrive on a weekend then their is no discount and you pay the regular much higher rate. The 30 AMP boxes also were beat and needed repairs to make them safer. An active Railroad track goes through the middle of this camp so spend your money on a hotel room this time of year as the water isn't turned on until April. We camped at North Fork Resort in a Motorhome.

Deep River Campground & RV Park, Asheboro, North Carolina

Date of Stay: March, 2009 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Passport America Rate. Park is off the main road and for this time of year was mostly full of long term storage RVs. Got last site at 2 PM. Excellent Cable and WIFI which was included and the PA was a good deal for services rendered. No activities this time of year and sites are level but the overall park is hilly. Recommend you book or phone to confirm site available. We camped at Deep River Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Aire RV Park & Campground, Hollywood, South Carolina

Date of Stay: February, 2009 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Passport America rate. Park is located 14 miles from Downtown Charleston. WIFI is good but with no Cable not many TV stations to view with your antenna. Sites are large but some have poor drainage as we stepped into water after a heavy rain. They are working on this problem. Not enough washers/dryers but the washrooms were sufficient and clean. Has courtesy and pay phones. Nice lake with ducks and at the above rate is a good price for this area. No regular activities for Snowbirds, but area has alot to see and do. Staff were friendly and know the area well. We would come back. We camped at Lake Aire RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
