Rollins Pond Campground, Saranac Lake, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

A beautiful and quiet campground. No hookups but lots of water spigots. Our site was very long but quite narrow. RVers might have difficult time backing in. I was glad we came with a tent; I had trouble backing in with my truck. Nights were freezing even though in August. The bathrooms need major upgrades especially the men's bathrooms. The separate shower facility was nice though. It's middle of nowhere. The closest town is Tupper Lake which has a supermarket and a few restaurants. Tupper Lake is about 15 minutes away from the park entrance, but it takes another 15 minutes to get out of the campground, because you have to drive through Fish Creek campground to exit. Fish Creek campground was a mad place with lots of big rigs and the sites right next to each other with absolutely no privacy. Rollins Pond campground is so much nicer if you like peace and quiet. We camped at Rollins Pond Campground in a Tent.

First Landing State Park, Virginia Beach, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very convenient to the beach, and very nice to have the water and electric hookups. You definitely need them in the summer. Very convenient location to a supermarket and restaurants. Not too many restaurants but still good. The bathrooms can use better cleaning. We camped at First Landing State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Worlds End State Park, Forksville, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Small and quiet campground with lots of shades, and the Loyalsock creek is beautiful. Some sites are big and some are right next to each other, but most of them are very nice with lots of shade. It's in middle of nowhere, and there is no cell service. You'll have to drive 15-30 minutes for any civilization. It is one of our favorite campgrounds. We camped at Worlds End State Park in a Tent Trailer.
