Collingsworth County Pioneer's Park, Wellington, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This was a jewel of a find. We had planned on staying in Shamrock, but both parks there were not acceptable. This pretty little park is seven miles north of Wellington next to a rest area. There is electric and water hookups, restrooms, but no showers. The sites are very large, under massive trees. There is no cable, Wi-Fi or cell phone reception, although we did receive a signal on our MiFi. We would definitely stay here again. There are on site managers. It is just beautiful. We camped at Collingsworth County Pioneer's Park in a Motorhome.

K & K RV Park, Shamrock, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2014
Overall Rating:

This is the only park in 7 years that we drove right through and did not stop. It was just too scary. We could not see where there was any spot available anyway. We tried the other park in town but it is closed. There is a wonderful county park 7 miles north of Wellington, which I have reviewed. We camped at K & K RV Park in a Motorhome.

There are new owners, who have made major improvements at this park. The streets are nice and the showers are brand new. We stayed here a couple of years ago and are pleased to see it improved. It is easy access, great cable and Wi-Fi and nice roomy sites. We will return when traveling through. We camped at Abilene KOA in a Motorhome.

Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground, Salina, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice enough park with nice trees and clean facilities. The owners are very nice. The only downside is freeway noise, but we are good sleepers so it didn't keep us awake. We would stay here again if passing through. Not a destination park. We camped at Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Lakeside RV and Campground, Provo, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We stay at this park whenever in the Provo area and it is one of our favorites. It has lots of large trees and grass and is very pretty. It is out of town so it is quiet. The park is full a lot because of workers who are using it to live in. They seem to be transient and move around a lot, so you might want to make reservations. We were surprised to find the park full at this time of year. Facilities are mostly clean, but problems are the fault of guests and not the park. We will stay here again. The park owners are doing their best to keep it nice. We camped at Lakeside RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Mountain Home RV Park, Mountain Home, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful park. The paved sites have to be the longest we have seen. The sites are set to make it look like a street in a small American town. Each site has grass and a street light. The cable and Wifi are excellent. Showers are perfect. We would definitely stay here again. Very nice! We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Motorhome.

Ambassador RV Resort, Caldwell, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This really is a perfect RV park. It is spotlessly clean and well maintained. The individual private bathrooms/showers are home-like. The staff is friendly and helpful. The sites are huge, nice gravel with paved patios and nice, clean patio tables. The WiFi and cable are excellent. I have no complaints whatsoever about the park and it remains one of our favorites. We camped at Ambassador RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Bend / Sisters Garden RV Resort, Sisters, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very pretty park in high desert country with gorgeous mountain scenery. The park is exceptional but I don't feel it rates a 10. The cable and Wi-Fi are almost nonexistent. We were able to get Internet with our own MiFi and used our antenna for poor TV reception, which was better than cable. Of course, given the location, anything was good, I guess. The park is beautifully landscaped. The staff are all very nice and helpful. Showers are a bit funky with dressing area in public which I don't care for. We would stay here again. Sisters is a quaint town that is a shopper's paradise. It is beautiful. Lots to see. We camped at Bend / Sisters Garden RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Seven Feathers RV Resort, Canyonville, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful park, with nice large sites, excellent cable, and gorgeous landscaping. The staff are all very professional and courteous. Laundry facilities are very nice and are reasonable. There is a shuttle bus that will take you anywhere in Canyonville, including the casino, etc. There are excellent restaurants nearby, all available via the shuttle so there really is no need to use your car. We had a great time here for a week and will definitely return. We camped at Seven Feathers RV Resort in a Motorhome.

JGW RV Park, Redding, California

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is the prettiest park in Redding in our opinion. It is nicely landscaped and maintained. We had a riverfront site and the view was gorgeous. Excellent cable and OK WiFi. Nice staff. Easy access. Close to lots of restaurants. The only negative is the traffic noise from the freeway. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at JGW RV Park in a Motorhome.

Redwood Empire Fairgrounds, Ukiah, California

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

There are not many RV parks available near Ukiah. We stayed here for a couple of weeks and it was perfectly adequate. Nothing fancy; just a few sites to park in with full hookups. Nice staff. Showers are older but clean. Laundry is small, but nice and reasonable. We would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Redwood Empire Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Buckhorn Lake Resort, Kerrville, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This has to be the nicest and prettiest park we have stayed at in the country. It is spectacular. We had a site in the adult only section and we loved it and would choose this section when we returned. The sites are very spacious with a private patio with furniture. Everything is spotlessly clean and manicured. The landscaping is superb. The bathrooms, laundry and pool area are immaculate. I could not find any fault with the park at all. The owners are super nice and helpful. This is #1 in our book and we will definitely return. The other park in town is very nice but this one is the best. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Carlsbad KOA, Carlsbad, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This park is actually located about 15 miles out of town, but it is much nicer than the one in town. We were here three summers ago and there have been some nice improvements. The roads are all level gravel with grass in between each site. The trees have matured a bit and make the park look prettier. The Wi-Fi is excellent and a few TV stations are available. There is an on-site cafe. We will return if we ever try to get to Carlsbad Caverns again. We camped at Carlsbad KOA in a Motorhome.

This was a repeat visit for us and it continues to be a favorite. The park has lots of mature trees but also offers sites for satellite owners. We love the trees and grass. Staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. The showers were very nice. The park is located a bit out of town but it is very nice and safe feeling. We would stay here again when back in the area. Circle B RV Park, Ruidoso, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The owners of this park are super nice and helpful. The park is spotlessly maintained. The showers are excellent. Wi-Fi and cable are good. Park is close to WalMart and other shopping/ restaurants. The recent fire damage is visible but did not detract from our stay. We would return if in the area. We camped at Circle B RV Park in a Motorhome.
