Choteau Mountain View Campground, Choteau, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

We're on our way to Glacier, and needed a overnight spot. We used Passport America. The owners are on site, conscientious and accommodating. The site layout is odd, owner escorted us to our site. Site was not level, but not too bad.The laundry is adequate, and only $1.25 per load! We visited the local museum, The Old Trail, eclectic, quirky and enjoyable. We camped at Choteau Mountain View Campground in a Motorhome.

Yellowstone's Edge RV Park, Livingston, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

We had a back in site along the river. A staff member escorts and guides you in. There is some road noise, but it didn't bother us. The location is good for going to Yellowstone and shopping/dining in Livingston. The park is well managed by caring owners. We camped at Yellowstone's Edge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Black Sandy State Park, Helena, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small camping facility, located on Hauser Lake. There are boat slips, places to launch jet ski, and kayaks. Boating and fishing are very popular. We were there over a weekend, extremely busy. The RV sites are very tight! They are all back ins, it is not big rig friendly. Our site had electric, and water was nearby but not at site. There is a dump station at the exit. We camped at Black Sandy State Park in a Motorhome.

Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park & Cabins, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

This park is all about location, it is very close to the West entrance of Yellowstone. If you want a park with full hookups, Grizzly is for you! It's a large park, busy, and reservations are a must! Grizzly needs to invest in new laundry machines, it was very frustrating, extremely busy and several were "out of order". For what they charge per load, pony up. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA, Clarksboro, New Jersey

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $64.00
Overall Rating:

We have used this campground on numerous occasions, traveling up and down the east coast. Our stay was the first under koa, and generally speaking, we're not fans of corporate owners, preferring "mom and pop" campgrounds. The price for a site has soared, so much so, we will find other options. There are some cosmetic changes, all well and good, but certainly doesn't justify high rate. Our brief encounter with the manager was unpleasant, she is very rude, odd for a position of dealing with customers. The other staff was polite and helpful, thank goodness We camped at Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA in a Motorhome.

New Green Acres RV Park , Walterboro, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

For overnight - just ok. The location to I-95 makes it very convenient and the pull thrus are long enough for any all rig combos. But the park utilities are not well maintained. The electric is a low pedestal and the breaker was in a box by a tree. We had 30amp since no 50 amp was available. The sewer connection is in the back of the site, while the water and electric were near the front. Our water spigot had no knob so we needed pliers to turn it on and off. The cable picture has been improved since our last visit a few years ago. The dog park looked great. The dumpster is near the entrance which is a long way from most sites. We will probably use another campground next time. We camped at New Green Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

Treasure Coast RV Park & Campground, Fort Pierce, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

I reviewed this park in previous years, giving 9's and 10's. If you are a short term guest, still a 9, but as a seasonal, a 7 at best. Why? First, the owners have yet to make the necessary Wi-Fi improvements which is unacceptable!! Next, the grounds and landscaping are no longer "pristine". Lack of mowing, no mulch, and more weeds give the grounds an unkempt appearance. The grounds crew does more riding around in golf carts than working. This park calls itself a "resort." It used to be, and it can be again with a little effort on the part of the new managers. We camped at Treasure Coast RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Cottonwoods RV Park, Columbia, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We used this campground for an overnight stop. It is a bit off the interstate, with lots of traffic near the exit. We had requested a pull through site so that we could keep the tow car connected, and they accommodated us. Check in was efficient and the staff was pleasant. Our site was long, but in reality, it was 2 sites back to back. When this campground is full, it would mean lots of RV's back to back. The site was very narrow, neighbors on both sides very close. The showers were clean, only shower curtains for privacy. The water was hot, but without much pressure. The Wi-Fi worked fine, we had an open sky for our roof sat dish, and a good Verizon signal. Overall, pleased with this campground. We camped at Cottonwoods RV Park in a Motorhome.

Indian Campground & RV Park, Buffalo, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We used this campground for an overnight stop. Check in was quick, owner and staff very pleasant. The sites near the front have large, lovely shade trees. We asked for a satellite dish friendly site, the owner escorted us to the back of the campground. The sites there are in the open. Our site was long enough to keep the tow car connected to the coach. The site was adequate in length, gravel pad with grass between sites. We thought it was a bit pricey, but the location was good, easy on off the interstate. We camped at Indian Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Valley View RV Park, Island Park, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our stay here, but there is good and bad about the campground. The good; Passport America rate for 50amp $17 was a very good value: site was long and pretty level with escort. The staff was friendly with lots of local sightseeing knowledge. Now, the not so good; the placement of the water and sewer connections was awkward at best. The water connection is below ground level, our site did not have an extension and we had to remove our pressure regulator to hook up our hose. The sewer connection is on an odd angle, again making it difficult to screw on the sewer hose. The camp host came by and did get an extension and did the reconnecting for us with our pressure regulator. The is road noise, we were in the row closest to the road. Overall, excellent value and staff: that overrides the few negatives. We would return. We camped at Valley View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mountain View RV Park, Arco, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

WE loved this campground, it is exactly what we want - clean facilities, easy in/out, long level sites, and utilities in good working order. This park has all of that, and toss in a free breakfast of eggs and pancakes! The park is gravel pads with large grassy areas between sites, for some of the most generous sites we have seen. Each site has a picnic table and grill, but no fire pits. Wi-Fi worked well, no cable, but most sites are sat dish friendly. There are some trees, but our site had a clear view for roof top dish. Our Verizon signal was strong. Great experience. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Boise / Meridian KOA, Meridian, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We requested an easy in/out site as we had to take the RV out for service. We got one of the pull throughs, we appreciated that they honored our request. But, the electric pedestal is located in the site entry drive, you have to be very careful pulling in. Our sewer connection was too high, making it difficult to dump. The site was plenty long and level, but neighbors are very close. The cable was ok, but limited selection, and the Tengo Wi-Fi did not work at all at our site. Overall, not impressed, other than the location was what we needed. We camped at Boise / Meridian KOA in a Motorhome.

McCall RV Resort, McCall, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great campground. Our site was a long, level pull through with all utilities in good working order. The RV is parked on gravel, there is a concrete patio and plenty of grassy area between sites. We did notice that there are some sites set up in pods: 4 that form a group, good if you are traveling with others. Those sites were asphalt parking pads. We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub. They pick up your trash at your site every morning. The only slight negatives; a little pricey and the Wi-Fi is Tengo. We would return. We camped at McCall RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Hells Canyon Resort, Clarkston, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our stay here. I would have liked to have seen more campground signs along the route, although we did find it ok. Check in was easy, our rate is with 15% Escapee discount. We had a pull through, level concrete pad. The utilities are in good working order, cable channels a bit limited, Wi-Fi worked great, and a clear sky for satellite dish. Each site has a picnic table, and well maintained grassy area between sites. The indoor pool was downright cold!! Brrr. The mills in the area are stinky, not overwhelming, but noticeable smell in the air. We took the jet boat tour that leaves from the marina right at the campground, very convenient and we enjoyed the day trip. Overall, a very good campground, and if ever back in the area, we would return. We camped at Hells Canyon Resort in a Motorhome.

Blackwell Island RV Park, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

If you need a campground in the Coeur d'Alene area, this park might suit you. The staff was friendly and helpful. The utilities; water (was warned at check in that they have high water pressure, so make sure you use a regulator. We always do: but appreciated the info), electric and sewer all fine. Our site was a level pull in. With that said, we did not like this park. We are fulltimers, and stay in a variety of parks, but this one was not a good value. $45 a night: no usable Wi-Fi and the very limited cable was too fuzzy to watch. I expect to get what I pay for. Advertise Wi-Fi and cable: then deliver!! Our site was right along the road, maybe 5 ft away, and the traffic in and out of the park and the marina traffic was awful. We did not enjoy sitting outside, it was too noisy. Our site had adequate space, grass well maintained, but only enjoyed it in the evening when the traffic settled down. We would not return to this campground, but it is a popular spot. We saw many RV's without reservations turned away, so there are folks that like this park. It is packed, lots of families and kids, but everyone is respectful of other campers. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.
