Bakersfield River Run RV Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice, very clean park. Store in office with essentials - even wine. Staff friendly and helpful. Both back in and pull through spaces. Cable was very good. Wi-Fi was pretty good. It kicked me off a couple of times but reconnected. Shower/bathroom area clean and large and roomy. We stayed 2 nights because I needed a little work done on my motorhome. I used Mike's Mobile RV Care. He was very quick, efficient and fair. My sister coughed constantly because the almonds and cotton were being sprayed with something in the area. There are trains, but it was very faint. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Motorhome.

Elk Creek Campground (fomerly New Castle/Glenwood Springs KOA), New Castle, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

After reading the other reviews regarding the strange layout, I decided to try it anyway because I only have a 21' motorhome. I should have listened. Once I did the night deposit, a man came and told me to go to any site I wanted. I asked him where the WiFi was the best, and he told me two areas. I tried getting my rig into 2 different spots with no luck. I finally parked in one right next to the stream. It's not very level. It's very pretty, but the WiFi was hit and miss inside my RV. I got no channels on the TV and my cell phone doesn't work. Those things are important to me as I travel. For those people who just want a pretty spot, it would probably work well. It's very dark at night, and I didn't hear any noise to speak of. My price for for electric only. There's a different price for whatever hookups you want. I probably will not stay here again. We camped at Elk Creek Campground (fomerly New Castle/Glenwood Springs KOA) in a Motorhome.

Great Escape RV Park & Campground, Higginsville, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

I intended to stay at a different park some distance away, but it was full. I was very happy to see the sign for this park. It's right off I-70, but the noise wasn't bad inside. My spot was fairly level. Lady in the office was nice. WiFi worked good in my spot. No cable TV, but I got several stations with a cable box. Nice park for a stop-over. I would stay here again. We camped at Great Escape RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Duck Creek RV Park, Paducah, Kentucky

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Nice older campground. The man in the office was very nice and escorted me to my spot. Gravel sites almost level. 24 channel cable TV. WiFi worked well, at least near the office. Spaces were easy to pull into. Convenient location and easy to find. It's not possible to adjust the temperature in the three showers in office building, however, there is a shower near the pool where it can be adjusted. I would stay here again. We camped at Duck Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nashville North KOA, Goodlettsville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

I really like this park. My rig is only 21 feet so I didn't have a problem parking, but I could see it could be a struggle for big rigs. The office scheduled for a tour company to pick me up for 2 different tours, both very good. Site was level. It was really hot, and the pool was marvelous. Shower/bath were clean. It took quite awhile for the shower water to get hot, then it didn't last too long. On Thursday nights they had a local guy who sang. He was very good (so was his wife). A local restaurant catered a meal for those who wanted to pay for a dinner. Even though this park is farther from town, I would stay here again. I stayed here for a week. We camped at Nashville North KOA in a Motorhome.

Victory RV Park and Campground, Paducah, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

I really wanted to rate this CG higher. It's new, pleasant looking but has no shade. When I checked in, the man in the office was very nice but didn't know how to work the credit card machine or didn't know the answer to my questions. I parked and went back to the office later to check in. Satellite is $5/day or $10/week. I considered staying a week. Owners are very nice and helpful. He tried to hook satellite box up to my rig but couldn't, so they refunded my money. I got a few stations with a converter box. My cell phone, even though it showed full bars, didn't work except for texting. Gravel sites were level. Laundry had 2 washers and 2 dryers ($1.75 each) and there was only one bathroom and shower, but they were clean. I ended up only staying one night. To find, exit 11 from I-24 and follow signs to Paducah International Raceway. It's about 5 miles. We camped at Victory RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Illinois State Fair Campgrounds, Springfield, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

As mentioned, the people in the office were very friendly and helpful. Has a large paved area for big rigs. Near the office are a lot of grassy spots, some with water/electric and others with sewer added and many with trees. WiFi works great on part of the area. No cable TV, but I got several stations using the converter box. If you want the physical address for GPS, it's 801 E. Sangamon Ave., Springfield. I was driven around in a golf cart so I could choose my space. A lot of the grassy spaces were not level and had holes. It's a good idea to call for availability because they have lots of groups coming to the fairgrounds. We camped at Illinois State Fair Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Pride of America Camping Resort, Pardeeville, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Destination campground with lots of activities. Nice lake area and pool. Lots of kids, but they weren't unruly or overly noisy. Neither kids nor adults understood they shouldn't walk across another's site. No cable TV, but I got several stations with converter box. WiFi worked well, but it was $7 for 6 days. Another thing I didn't like was that you had to pay for the shower: 25 cents for every 3 minutes. There's a restaurant and bar. We camped at Pride of America Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Amana Colonies RV Park, Amana, Iowa

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly, knowledgeable people in the office. Escorted me to my spot. Very long, narrow spots. Gravel roads have a lot of bumps, lumps and ruts. Wi-Fi worked very well. Got a very few TV stations with converter box. Very convenient to colonies. Only 3 bathroom and shower stalls for the large park. Shower building is dark, a wooden building with concrete floors. It was difficult to tell if it was clean, but I think it was. I would stay here again. We camped at Amana Colonies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Camp A Way, Lincoln, Nebraska

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, mostly level sites. I was in an area for smaller rigs, and the roads were narrow and confusing. Very nice pool/hot tub area. Check in staff very nice. They escorted me to my spot. Bath/shower area was clean but not big enough for all the people. The camp was crowded and had lots of kids, probably because of the upcoming 4th of July holiday, but it was never noisy or unruly. I would stay here again. We camped at Camp A Way in a Motorhome.

Area's Finest Country View Campground, Ogallala, Nebraska

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly man in the office. Was shown to my space. WiFi and cable TV worked well. Trees, grass between spots with picnic tables. Spot was almost level but not quite. I didn't hear any road noise. It was very peaceful. I didn't check out the laundry and book exchange building. Small store in office had a few supplies. Convenient off I-80 and easy to find. I would definitely stay here again. Rate was for Good Sam discount. We camped at Area's Finest Country View Campground in a Motorhome.

Valley Sunset RV Ranch, Delta, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

There are 3 RV parks in Delta. All are older but adequate. This is the first time I've stayed at this park. Don't be deceived by the older appearance. I was a little leery when I pulled in, and by the "biker" appearing owners. They were very nice and helpful. Satellite has 20 TV stations. WiFi worked very well at my spot - B3. Pool looked very nice although small. Bathrooms/showers were old but clean. Spot was level. There are a lot of trees. I will choose this park when I come back to Delta. We camped at Valley Sunset RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

Park City RV Resort, Park City, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

I had a spot down by the river which was very pretty. There are picnic tables next to the river. It was a water/electricity only spot and was half gravel, half grass and leaned down a little. The area by the river is down hill from the rest of the park so there was very little highway noise. The bath house that's next to these sites is old but looked pretty clean. There is no cable, and I got no TV from the converter box. The Wi-Fi was strong some of the time and pretty slow the rest of the time. We camped at Park City RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Klamath Falls KOA, Klamath Falls, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park. Level gravel site with grass and picnic table next to it. Clean restroom/shower. Gas station on site that was a few cents cheaper than the surrounding area. Cable TV had lots of stations. My only complaint was the Wi-Fi. I never could get connected even though my computer indicated good signal strength. I took it to the office and still couldn't connect. There was a computer there for individual use and that worked fine. The following morning it still wouldn't connect. There is a store with a few basic items. We camped at Klamath Falls KOA in a Motorhome.

Santa Nella RV Park, Santa Nella, California

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park, convenient to I-5. Lady in the office was very nice and friendly. The few sites with cable are taken by long-term folks. I got a few stations with the converter box. Wi-Fi was a little slow but not bad. Sometimes it kicked me off the park's Wi-Fi and connected me to the McDonald's Wi-Fi across the street. Concrete sites were fairly level. We camped at Santa Nella RV Park in a Motorhome.
