Sky Ute Casino RV Park, Ignacio, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 4 nights on Passport America rates. We had been driving a lot and my wife wanted to rest for a few days before continuing. This was the perfect place. Luxury sites with excellent wifi. The nice camphosts showed us all around. We used the exercise room, pool, hot tub, restrooms and showers. They were all immaculately clean and neat. The smoke smell and some meals were our only drawback. The BBQ ribs were not smoked (probably pressure cooked and baked with BBQ sauce added} tender but not BBQ. Surf and Turf buffet, surf all fried and roast beef over cooked ( well done) Coffee and Lattes and muffins as well as the pancakes were very good. Overall we were very pleased. We would come back here again. We camped at Sky Ute Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Durango 2o miles away . We had taken the railroad to Silverton before so we drove it this time so we could stop along the way to enjoy the colorful scenery at this time of year.

Happy Camper RV Park, Pagosa Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

This park is not beautiful but is functional. There were several RVs that were longer term residence but most were neat and people we met were friendly. The price is for Passport America rate. This park was good for an overnight but not a destination park. The FHUs were fine and wifi worked most of the time. There is road noise but we slept OK. We had to back our 40' MH out because the turn was too tight going forward out of the pull through site. We camped at Happy Camper RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We came over Wolf Creek pass to the western side and were amazed at the the beauty of scenery with all the leaves in full color. The eastern side of the pass had already shed much of their leaves. It was the perfect time to be here with cool temps and less tourist traffic.

Ute Bluff Lodge, South Fork, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

My rate reflects Passport America. Very nice clean park right off Highway so a little noise. It is better to back in this site because of the way they have railroad ties laid out . We pulled in but couldn't help but go over one of them because of turn radius. The FHUs were fine but wifi only worked half the time. I have no idea what their bathrooms, showers and laundry look like because we have our own. We stayed 3 days and loved touring the area . We would stay here again at these prices. We camped at Ute Bluff Lodge in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We drove to Lake City and stopped at the beautiful Clear Creek Waterfall. We saw several deer on this trip. We took the Bachelor's Loop out of Creede and enjoyed looking and taking photos of old mines . Much of the loop was very scenic. We saw a male and female Moose just past the big beaver pond. This road is best for a 4 wheel drive vehicle as one section is rather steep The whole area around Creede is so beautiful, especially with the aspens in color.

Great Sand Dunes Oasis RV Park, Mosca, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Great view of the sand dunes and close to park. My 40' MH would not have fit in the National Park rv sites. The road to the sites was not just gravel but rocky and rough. We could not pull into our site so unhooked toad and backed in to our pull through site. The FHUs were fine but no wifi. We did not look at their restrooms, showers or laundry because we have our own. The empty site next to ours was littered with big mounds of dog poop. All RV owners should be responsible enough to pick up after their dogs or they should not come to RV parks. RV Park owners should clean up after RVs leave a site. We camped at Great Sand Dunes Oasis RV Park in a Motorhome.

Four Seasons RV Resort, Salida, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

I backed into site rather than pull through because of low branches and tighter turn in our 40' MH . The site was near the highway and FHUs were fine including good wifi and the cable tv . Parked car in front of RV. We were not here for the park amenities, but the nearby sights. I did not look at bathrooms, laundry etc. as we have our own. The river front property was very nice. I would stay here again. We camped at Four Seasons RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Fisherman's Corner COE, Hampton, Illinois

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice COE Park. Great price. Concrete long pad for our 40' MH. Back- in but room for Toad. Site 28. I pulled into another long site, camp hosts were off duty then . The site post showed no reservation for that night. I call government phone number listed. I was told the site was reserved for that night so move to another site. I paid the camp host later and told them about the site change. They said that first site was not reserved for that night . The on site management seems to have a better idea about the campground than the government reservation phone system. We stayed one night. We would return. Camp hosts were nice. 50 amp service. We did not have need for other amenities Close to Interstate Hwy. but quiet. We camped at Fisherman's Corner COE in a Motorhome.

Hinton RV Park, Sikeston, Missouri

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Everything out doors appeared clean . Long level gravel Pull through site with plenty of space to maneuver and set up. Good Wifi connections which was important to us. Cable tv service was interrupted a few times. We were taken to our spot. Staff was very nice and helpful. We have stayed in a nearby rv park before but found this one much better. We were in a 40' MH with toad. We will stay here again if in the area and the price is right. We camped at Hinton RV Park in a Motorhome.

We were in town for a HS reunion is why we stayed 6 days. We were not looking for amenities outside of FHUs and wifi so cable tv was a bonus. We never use bathrooms or laundry if we have FHUs so can not comment on that.

Nugget RV Park, St. Regis, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very nice neat campground. The management were nice and polite. The site was level and wide enough for our 40' MH with slides. The strip of grass beside it very nice and green for this dry weather. I used full hook-ups but no other amenities for my overnight stay. The train could be heard in the night. I have nothing bad to say about the park but I thought the price was too high for me to return. We camped at Nugget RV Park in a Motorhome.

Yakima River RV Park, Ellensburg, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

We really like the country setting 3 miles off interstate and town. It was quiet and peaceful, neat and clean. We stayed here 2 nights with full hookups, which worked out good for us. There is no restroom and shower facility but we always use our own as most RVers do, so no problem there. The management was friendly and helpful. They located the RVs on every other space to give us more room and privacy. Tow or towed vehicles park in spaces away from sites. This is our second time here and we will return if we pass this way again. We camped at Yakima River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pioneer Trails RV Resort , Anacortes, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

I rated this park a 10 as it is one of the nicest parks we have been in. FHUs 50 amp with excellent wifi service and cable tv in back in site. This park is cut out of a rain forest and they left as many trees as possible, Hemlock ,spruce and sequoia towered above us and surrounded us in our large site. We enjoyed watching the Hummingbirds visit our neighbors feeder, so did our indoor cat. We reserved 4 days over the Memorial day weekend but extended as we liked the park so well. We do not use parks bathrooms or laundry as we have our own so can not comment there. Many families were in the park over the holiday and kids used playgrounds but it was relatively peaceful where we were. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely come back here if we are in the area. We camped at Pioneer Trails RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Red Ledge RV Park, Kanarraville, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We made reservations fortunately as park filled up shortly after we arrive. We chose this park as an economical, centrally located park for seeing both Zion and Bryce canyon without moving. We had to unhook and do a U-turn at the intersection to get in with a little repositioning but not a problem for me in our 40' RV. A less experienced driver may have had trouble getting in to this spot which was designated for MHs not 5th wheels. The other spots were used for 5th wheels with no trouble entering or leaving. We liked our spot with trees and big grassy area beside it with a hammock hung between trees. FHUs, small but nice RV Park. We never use parks bathrooms or laundry so can not report on them. Management was very friendly and helpful. We camped at Red Ledge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pioneer RV Park, Hermiston, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park to overnight in. Site was long enough for our 40' MH and jeep parked in front. It has neatly trimmed grassy sites with enough room for our slides and then some, no trees at all. This park was full and we were lucky to get a spot. Wifi worked, we did not use the cable tv system as it require installing a box and we didn't need to watch tv that much to bother. Easy in and out with towed unhooked. Office personel were very friendly and helpful with suggestions for nearby sight seeing. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.

Seaside RV Resort, Thousand Trails , Seaside, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here while touring the area so we were not interested in the parks amenities. We were on the public side #14 site. The park was clean and neat and was open between sites. We had ample space for our 40' and Jeep at our back in graveled site. The down side was that there is no WiFi at sites. One has to go to the laundry or clubhouse to get on. The huge downside was our 30 amp site had low voltage which could have damaged our RV if we did not have an electric management system. Our EMS kicked us out so we had no electric during the night. I checked voltage with my multimeter and it was very low. I reported it to gate guard as I left. If this is a flag ship Thousand Trails park, I am not interested. We will not return. We camped at Seaside RV Resort, Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park, Vicksburg, Mississippi

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 2 nights while touring the area. Park was clean with paved roads and concrete sites. The site was just long enough for our 40' MH with jeep detached and parked in front. I was in site 29 which had s/w/ 30 amp electric. I could not level until driving up on 2 sets of double 2x8s on right rear and double block that jack. I had asked to get as close to wifi as possible which she did with an almost full park. I could only get on wifi after 10 PM and in the middle of the day, Overall I was satisfied with the park and would stay here again but would asked for a more level site if possible. We did not use any facilities. We camped at Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 7 days. The rate was for Passport America. The sites were level gravel the hookups were good. The Wi-Fi worked good most of the time but would occasionally disconnect. The entrance road was full of dips but I noticed that they brought it a load of gravel to do road work. There was a nice new clubhouse with laundry. The staff was very helpful to guide me to local attractions and even helped me get into a dentist in town. We would stay here again if in the area. This area is very nice We camped at Mt. Princeton RV Park in a Motorhome.
