All About Relaxing RV Park, Theodore, Alabama

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The owners are very welcoming. They greet you at the gate and guide you to your lot, and pick up the trash from your lot each morning. The park is immaculate, in a quiet location, with pretty landscaping. The bathrooms are spotless and the most luxurious we have seen in an RV park. There is a lovely swimming pool with sunbeds, also hammocks and rocking chairs. Truly a great place to relax! We camped at All About Relaxing RV Park in a Motorhome.

Moore's RV Park (formerly Desert Rose Resort), Bloomfield, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We asked for a satellite-friendly site and the two young ladies in the office didn't know which sites would suit, but they were helpful in offering us alternative sites. It seemed strange to me that I had to sign a form that I wouldn't be using illegal drugs - I had never encountered that elsewhere. Quiet time is 9pm to 7 am. However, we were woken at 5.45 am by voices and large pickup trucks being started up. By 6.15 am sixteen trucks had driven past us. We realized that many of the people staying there are working in the local oil and gas industry. We had planned on staying for three nights while visiting Chaco Canyon, but we left after two. We camped at Moore's RV Park (formerly Desert Rose Resort) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We visited Chaco Canyon on a tour provided by Salmon Ruins Museum. We would recommend this tour, as they provide transport, lunch, drinks and an archaeologist.

Stagecoach RV Park, St Augustine, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects 50 amp rate with FMCA discount. This is a pleasant and peaceful park. There is a distant drone from the freeway which is not intrusive. The sites are spacious grass under tall trees. We were able to get satellite TV signal. The office staff are friendly and efficient. The location is convenient for the nearby outlet malls (half a mile) and for the sights of St Augustine (4 miles). It would be a good overnight stop if traveling on I-95, as it is a half mile from the freeway, and mainly has pull-through sites. We camped at Stagecoach RV Park in a Motorhome.

WinStar RV Park, Thackerville, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent new park just across the state line: exit 1 off I-35. There's plenty of grass and new trees. Still much construction going on so will look forward to seeing it again next year. Close to freeway but noise not a problem. Had good Wi-Fi. Good long concrete pull throughs with a trash bin (emptied daily), picnic table and barbecue grill. Good cell signal from Verizon and ATT. Good well lit pet walk. Free shuttle bus to casino. We camped at WinStar RV Park in a Motorhome.
