Treasure Coast RV Park & Campground, Fort Pierce, Florida
Date of Stay:
January, 2019 -
$37.00
Overall Rating:
Meticulously maintained park filled with friendly people. Concrete pads and most sites have beautiful landscaping. Centrally located with easy travel to the Kennedy Space Center of pet friendly beaches in Juno. We have come to really enjoy this part of Florida. Staff is friendly and helpful. The only complaint is our site (17) was one of the smallest. Most are larger than many Florida parks. We would stay here again, hoping to get a different site. Rate reflects monthly fee. We camped at Treasure Coast RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
Ft. Pierce farmers market on Saturday morning is a must see.

Destin West RV Resort, Fort Walton Beach, Florida
Date of Stay:
December, 2017 -
$66.00
Overall Rating:
Conveniently located across the street from Ramada Hotel which offers all its amenities to those staying at this park, including a heated pool. Easy check-in, with friendly staff. All sites are paver based with large patio and landscaping. Good sized lots. Different layout with most outer-loop sites are drive in (not through) with the center sites back-in. We had some noise from the amusement park next door, but not bad. The park is located on a bay, and some sites have water views. We would stay here again. Had no trouble with DISH. There is cable here, but we did not use it. Lots of space to walk dogs. We camped at Destin West RV Resort in a Motorhome.
There is no shortage of great food offerings nearby. Many are pet friendly and right on the Gulf Coast beaches. The free Air Force Armament museum was a treat.

Camping World - Good Sam Campground of Oxford, Anniston, Alabama
Date of Stay:
October, 2017 -
$29.00
Overall Rating:
While many use this park as a convenient overnight stop, I have stayed here for extended periods several times. Very friendly staff. The street accessing the campground is a mess, but not the campground's fault. Once inside, plenty of room to maneuver. Sites are rock, and well spaced. DISH service available with a portable dome. Campground does have new cable system, but still has limited channels. I would stay here again. We camped at Camping World - Good Sam Campground of Oxford in a Motorhome.
Many food and shopping options nearby. Easy on and off I-20

Pine Hill RV Park, Kutztown, Pennsylvania
Date of Stay:
June, 2016 -
$48.00
Overall Rating:
This park has a combination of pull-through and back-in sites. All are solid gravel pads with grass areas. Upon request, staff brings fire rings. The park was extremely well maintained, and the staff some of the friendliest people we've met. Water pressure, power and cable were all great. The only negative was coming in at night. Staff guided us to the site, but there are no lights and it is a challenge to navigate. This is one of our favorite parks. We'd stay here again. We camped at Pine Hill RV Park in a Motorhome.
Many wineries in the area. The Yuengling Brewery is nearby and has a nice tour. Wegman's, Cabelas and Renningers Flea Market are great shopping destinations.

Red Bay Downtown RV Park, Red Bay, Alabama

Overall Rating:
It is hard to rate service at this park since this is a self-service park. Phone staff was very friendly. This is very close to the Tiffin factory, which we toured. The campground is a concrete pad which used to be the base of a building(s). There are no amenities, but for the price, you can't go wrong. We camped at Red Bay Downtown RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sanctuary RV Resort, Bonita Springs, Florida
Date of Stay:
January, 2016 -
$46.00
Overall Rating:
The park seems understaffed as several waited at check-in while the one staff member was on the grounds tending to a problem. There is little room to park when checking in as you are stopped in a parking lot, blocking cars of other guests. There was a lot of rain and wind during our stay, and while there was standing water immediately after the storms, it drained over time. Most impressive was how fast the streets were cleared of leaves and branches after a heavy storm. The sites are more spacious than many Florida parks, making for a pleasant stay. We camped at Sanctuary RV Resort in a Motorhome.

C.B. Smith Park, Pembroke Pines, Florida
Date of Stay:
January, 2016 -
$40.00
Overall Rating:
One word: awesome. Incredible County run park. Large paved sites. We were on the water. Good interior roads. I have nothing but praise for the park. The only down side is the heavy traffic on roads leading to the park, but it is located in an urban area, so that is to be expected. Some long-term guests say weekends can get noisy with events in the other section of the park, but then listening to famous music acts at your campsite at no additional charge is not a bad deal. I would stay here again. We camped at C.B. Smith Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed here over New Years and used the shuttle service to travel into Nashville. The roads in the campground need work. Sites are well spaced. This neighboring campground hosted a holiday light show, which was very nice during this time of year. We camped at Two Rivers Campground in a Motorhome.

Santa Rosa RV Resort, Navarre, Florida
Date of Stay:
December, 2015 -
$74.00
Overall Rating:
We were lucky and got a waterfront site. It was well worth it and the views were spectacular. Even though we had rain, it was a great stay. The park is clean, staff friendly and site of good size. Concrete pads and patios with pedestal hookups. Cable was good, over-the-air also had lots of choices and we had clear satellite too. New owners have put a lot into this park and it shows. The park is centrally located and we made day trips to Mobile, AL, Pensacola, FL and Panama City Beach, FL. We would definitely stay here again. The price was well worth it, especially considering we've paid far more for way less. We camped at Santa Rosa RV Resort in a Motorhome.
Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola and the Maritime Museum in Mobile, AL are great day trips.

Oak Plantation Campground, Charleston, South Carolina
Date of Stay:
August, 2015 -
$40.00
Overall Rating:
We stayed her for five days while I was working. It's a really nice park. Large sites. Good utilities and the customer service was great. The only down side is the large speed bumps leading in and out of the park. It rocked the RV and was tedious coming and going during our stay. However, I do understand why they are there. This is one of those parks that I will make a destination in the future. We camped at Oak Plantation Campground in a Motorhome.
Charleston, South Carolina! Horse drawn carriage tours, walking history, an aquarium, Fort Sumter, and great restaurants. We're planning to come back for more fun.

Elkhorn Campground, Frankfort, Kentucky
Date of Stay:
July, 2015 -
$33.00
Overall Rating:
We stayed here for two weeks as I was working in the area. We enjoyed our site. Staff was helpful, and full time residents friendly. Site was tight to get into but once there, was comfortable. The sites were on the small side, but there was room to stretch out and relax on the concrete patio. Slab was also concrete. 50 amp was not available at all sites and hookups are shared in hubs with other sites. Make sure you request 50 amp or you may not get it. If we came to the are we'd stay here again. We camped at Elkhorn Campground in a Motorhome.
We enjoyed the area and the many distilleries. Buffalo Trace is a must see. Horse farms and Churchill Downs are easy day trips. Downtown Frankfort is historic and lively.

Camelot RV Park, Malabar, Florida
Date of Stay:
February, 2015 -
$42.00
Overall Rating:
We spent nearly three weeks here and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Very friendly staff, and other residents. Many are either seasonal or had returned because they like the campground. We had a large site with a concrete pad and patio. Other sites vary in size. Some are very tight, others spacious. Most have cable, water and sewer. We did not have cable, but had good DISH service. The park is very clean and pet friendly. Walking and biking are common through the park. It is located across from the Indian River and there is a clear view of the water. Bocce, shuffleboard, basketball, a nice dog park and a heated pool round out the amenities. There is a laundry, but we didn't use it. The staff hosts various events including craft classes, socials and dinners. We would absolutely return. We camped at Camelot RV Park in a Motorhome.
If you travel with pets, there are several pet friendly places to go: Riverside in Vero Beach, and Long Doggers and Meg O'Malley's in Melbourne. Shopping is close by including all the major chains.

Naples Motorcoach Resort, Naples, Florida
Date of Stay:
February, 2014 -
$97.00
Overall Rating:
If you are an FMCA member, you can get a good discount, but ask when you make reservations. I never saw this advertised, and it was never mentioned. When I asked after we arrived, I was told they could not issue the a credit because the credit card had been processed. Seems to me this sophisticated of a place could figure out how to issue a credit. This was the nicest RV park we've ever stayed at. Activities were plentiful, fun and either free or reasonably priced. The sites are large and paved and are well spaced. Some are landscaped. Facility is gated and generally quite. Three nice pools and a small sand beach are very nice. WiFi worked well. We are not sure we'll return as the discount issue left a bad impression. We camped at Naples Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.
