Noccalula Falls Campground, Gadsden, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

This park is slightly difficult to find, being a few miles off of I-59, but I liked it fine. The sites were not numbered to where we could first understand them, and we had to circle, but not a big problem. The electric and water were fine. I had a large space with lots of room. Plenty of trees, so the cable worked OK. Very scenic, with the falls close by. The kids swam in the pool, but the pool could use cleaning, not awful. Nice place for a overnight. On the list to stay again. We camped at Noccalula Falls Campground in a Motorhome.

Adventure Bound Camping Resort-Tucson (formerly Cactus Country RV Reso, Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The office is only open from 9 till 12, so we did not see anyone to talk to. Left money in envelope. First site chosen had no electric service (wires dug up) so back to the office for another site. Pool was great. Laundry room looked OK, but we did not use. Site was fairly level and the roads were paved, so bike riding was good. Family RV parks in Tucson seem to be hard to find, so we would stay here again. We camped at Adventure Bound Camping Resort-Tucson (formerly Cactus Country RV Reso in a Motorhome.

Holiday RV Park, North Platte, Nebraska

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice place. It has a good pool for the kids. The sites are level with big shade trees, but did not bother our satellite. The cable TV has lots of channels available. Close to the interstate, but I did not hear traffic noise. Several places to eat close-by. We would stay again. We camped at Holiday RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cabela's RV Park & Campground, Sidney, Nebraska

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice. No pool, but this park has a playground area for the kids. Neat and clean. Easy to get to, has lots of food outlets around. Wal-Mart was just down the street. There is an RV wash just across the street, but I did not go over and look at it to see what type of wash it is. The park is fairly level, however, I had to use some blocks under my levelers for a full level. I liked it and would stay again. We camped at Cabela's RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Park City RV Resort, Park City, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

I liked this RV park. Easy to get in and out of. Good pool, good game room and fitness center. The WiFi was on and off, mostly off. I stayed in one of the premium sites with the concrete pads, pull into and back out. Nice and level. The view out the front window to the mountains was great. It is fairly close to the outlet stores, so we stayed for two nights. We camped at Park City RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Cody KOA, Cody, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

This KOA has a lot going on for the Kids. I saw a puppet show, went swimming, saw a life size chess game, some sort of trampoline thing, three wheel bikes, wagon rides, transportation to the Cody Nightly Rodeo, free breakfast pancakes, and I am sure I missed a lot. It was very busy and noisy due to it being the 4th of July week, so I should expect that. I only got a 30 amp, but still paid full price. I would stay again if the kids were with us. We camped at Cody KOA in a Motorhome.

Chris' Camp, Spearfish, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Nice place. Lots of things for the kids, which is why it gets a little noisy sometimes. I was there on the 4th, so it was packed. It is in a good location, and the site I was in was level and had good utilities. We would go back again. We camped at Chris' Camp in a Motorhome.

A Prairie Breeze RV Park, Menoken, North Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

A nice place to lay over. Just off of I-94 far enough so there is no interstate noise. The park is full, as it is the 4th weekend, but not busy. Very quiet actually. We watched the fireworks display last night and it was good. This park is in the middle of farmland, so there is nothing close by. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at A Prairie Breeze RV Park in a Motorhome.

St Paul East RV Park, Woodbury, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

I liked this park. Very neat and clean. Good security, and quiet. I never was able to get the Wi-Fi going, but I did not ask for help, so was my fault. We were only there for one night and did not use the pool. Went to the mall instead, which is about 20 - 30 minutes away. Easy to get to, just off of I-94, but far enough away so there is no road noise. Close to a Super Wal-Mart. I would stay again. We camped at St Paul East RV Park in a Motorhome.

American Resort & Campground (formerly Mt Olympus Zeus Village Resort), Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $73.00
Overall Rating:

The nightly rates are high, but when considering the Amusement and water park passes they offer it is a really good deal. We spent a day on the roller coasters and go carts and they were good. The water park looked great, but we did not use it. We used the pool close to the RV. Good location. We had cable and satellite view. Sites are spacious and level. Mostly back in. The two drive thrus I saw were in the middle of the parking lot. All asphalt. This is a destination park. Not worth it if you are only staying one night passing thru. I would like to go back some time. We camped at American Resort & Campground (formerly Mt Olympus Zeus Village Resort) in a Motorhome.

Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping, Mackinaw City, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Very large park. Lots of trees if you want to use your satellite. Quiet overall. We were there for only one night, so do not know a lot about the place. It was cool, so did not use the pool. It is easy to find from I-75. We would stay with them again. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Motorhome.

Fireside Resort at Kruse Park, Auburn, Indiana

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park. It is close to I-69 so there is some road noise but easy to find. Very neat and clean. Lots of car museums to visit. We went to the National truck museum and the Auburn - Cord - Dusenberg museum. The RV Spaces are about normal size so getting through with your RV is no problem. No Cable and no trees if you have satellite. This would not be a destination for me, but if passing thru I would stay again. We camped at Fireside Resort at Kruse Park in a Motorhome.

Gagnon Beach Resort & SPA (formerly Camping Plage Gagnon Beach), Cap-Pelé, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed one night as a stopover to PEI. Level and within close walking distance of beach. Lots of tents the weekend night I was there, quiet, but there was a lot of wind and rain that night. Easy to get into and out of. I was a little too far away to get the WiFi, but I could get it when I went closer to the community center. No Cable TV. I think the satellite would work almost anywhere there. I would stay again. We camped at Gagnon Beach Resort & SPA (formerly Camping Plage Gagnon Beach) in a Motorhome.

The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone, Verona, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

We loved this place. It is large and spacious. We only stayed one night because we ran out of time and had to get home, but I wanted to stay another day. Lots of things to do. Pool was very nice, had a life guard. I had no trouble leveling. There are playgrounds and paddle boats available. Good cable TV. I would plan my trip around this place to stay again along the way. We camped at The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone in a Motorhome.

AA Royal Motel & Campground, North Tonawanda, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed one night so we could go to Niagara Falls. The kids were disappointed there was no pool or playground. The clean men's restroom consisted of one toilet and one shower. I have to assume the lady's side was similar. Although the place was clean and the drive throughs were big enough, I felt we paid too much. I would try other places before I stayed here again. We camped at AA Royal Motel & Campground in a Motorhome.
