Calhoun A-OK Campground (formerly Calhoun KOA), Calhoun, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Upon arrival we asked about our pizza and wings and were told we had to choose either/or. The ad plainly says pizza and wings not pizza or wings. The pizza was no more than a cheap Walmart pizza and we also purchased another for over 8 dollars. In the Walmart store those pizzas cost $4.50. A Little Caesar's pizza is 5 bucks. We constantly had to protect our toy dog against the many dogs that roamed the camp groud. Though we glady obeyed the rules of keeping our dog on a leash, the owners dogs roam the campground all day long and all night long. One night our trash was not picked up because the owners were too busy playing Wii in the pavillion to get it, and their dogs tore our trash up and my husband had to get up in the middle of the night and chase away the dogs and clean up the mess. All day long on Saturday of our trip we listened to a chain saw cutting down trees only a few yards away from our site. Though the speed limit in the campground is just over 4mph, the golf carts driven by employees and owners drive much faster than that and they are gas powered so they make allot of noise. This is a very noisy campground, if you are coming for quiet don't come here!! We camped at Calhoun A-OK Campground (formerly Calhoun KOA) in a Tent.
