Estes Park Campground at Marys Lake, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

If you park in the bottom row and it rains you’ll be in mud. And when it rains it pours! The 35 foot slots are just that 35’. They’ll measure you if they think you are too long. Better to stay in the upper sites (lower numbered sites). The layout of the back ins allows for any neighbors to be too close. Too close to your outdoor area at the rear and on the side of your patio. Other than that the hosts were polite and friendly, the manager not so much. It’s too bad the city doesn’t even make an attempt to improve the drainage. We camped at Estes Park Campground at Marys Lake in a Fifth Wheel.

Chatfield State Park, Littleton, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

LOW CLEARANCE!!!! The entrance from Hwy 121 in ONLY 13’! Big rigs must be aware of this. If you get to the booth you will have to back up 300 to 500 feet to make a u-turn and go the entrance on Roxborough Park Road. Signage for all this is none existent! What kind of a Park doesn’t post warnings? We camped at Chatfield State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Mountain Valley RV Resort, Heber City, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

This is a FIVE STAR RESORT. There is no mistake in my rating. I put 2 stars to grab your attention. If you tow a fifth wheel 35 feet or longer reserve a premium site in the adult section; otherwise you will be in a barley long enough pull through site and have to choose between pulling your rig to the very front or rear so you can park your tow vehicle at the opposite end. You just have to know this before hand. Also note it is tight getting in those smaller sites and out again because of tree placement and others trying to find a place to park their vehicle. I am not trying to be negative. This is a great park. Just know which site to reserve. We camped at Mountain Valley RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground, Lander, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nice place. Suggest paying for the sites with a view as there are fewer trees (in addition to overlooking the town). Sites are. It very wide so you get to meet your neighbors. We’ll kept place. Very friendly folks run the place. Good gravel roads & sites - not dirt & some gravel. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Lakeside RV and Campground, Provo, Utah

Overall Rating:

These folks know how to trim trees back and away from interior roads & sites. Good shade. But the are all cottonwood trees so very dirty. Nice folks. Half full timers & half nite to nite but no problems. Good place to stay when in the area. Easy to get around. Good Verizon service. We camped at Lakeside RV and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Greys River Cove RV Park, Alpine, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Host is VERY accommodating. Dry camping is spacious. Large site are pretty much on top of each other & you’d be luck to put an awning out. Back in sites are wider but most 30a. Cheaper than Jackson and convenient ( about 1 hr north). Small town. Tavern is a tavern; no food but food truck outside. Busy place, full most nights. Level sites. Small town but good restaurant, hair dresser and Mexican restaurant. We camped at Greys River Cove RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Dubois / Wind River KOA, Dubois, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Dusty? Parking escort drives faster than posted speed limit as do most others raising much dust. Cottonwood trees drop a lot of debris and are not trimmed in many locations for big rigs. Staff is pleasant but deaf to comments about trees so didn’t see any reason to comment about speed. I’d try a different campground the next time. To exit you pass through the dump station; so prepare to wait if someone is dumping. We camped at Dubois / Wind River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Mt. Princeton RV Park, Buena Vista, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Wide, long sites. Friendly staff. Clean park on the side I stayed in (B row). The other side of the park look tight & full of permanent/semi-permanent rigs. Staff is attentive to comings & goings and keeps a nice park. I don’t think it’s worth $50/nite but all parks in area are the same; maybe it’s the location. We camped at Mt. Princeton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Green River State Park, Green River, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Clean park. Didn’t get a map or information on check in but the host pointed to my site; none-the-less there is good signage for sites. Bathroom & showers were clean and adequate. Site was very roomy (site 5). Good utilities. Road out as a bit tight but ok for big rigs. One note - we stayed 1 nite and the moths loved our rig - we’ve been swatting them for the past 4 days. We don’t think we’d stay here again and would just move on to another stop. We camped at Green River State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate is weekly. We were here a few years ago and liked it. We liked it more this time as it seems even bigger and cleaner. VERY friendly staff who listens to your needs and delivers. Gravel site, some shaded. Some very wide and long sites (new since last visit). We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Escalante Cabins and RV Park, Escalante, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This is a relatively new campground (not viewable on Google Maps). It has gravel/dirt roads. WiFi is OK (I don't stream; it is good for web browsing and email). The sites to the left of the main road as you enter to park have sewer dumps that are almost uphill from where you park; they work OK, but the seem to be oddly placed. Very friendly staff. Sites are almost level but I did see some rigs with their front wheels off the ground a few inches (kind of strange since this park is so new). Sites are adequately wide enough and long enough. Verizon service is good. Of the few campgrounds in Escalante I think this is the best. We camped at Escalante Cabins and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
