Buffalo Point, Yellville, Arkansas

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park, adequate campground. Electrical and water service worked as expected. Dump station is tight negotiating, but works. On the expensive side for no sewer, but a nice park. We camped at Buffalo Point in a Travel Trailer.

Uncompahgre River RV Park (55+ park), Olathe, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Price reflects a week stay with veteran's discount. A very nice RV park. Friendly, engaged owners. Very helpful and pleasant. Enjoyed spending the week in a park that was quiet, and especially appreciate the 55+. The owners keep the place beautifully manicured, and clean. We stayed too busy hiking and motorcycle riding, but there were several park events while we were there. The utilities worked as they should, including wifi. You will not find a better RV park in that part of Colorado. When we are in that part of Colorado, we will DEFINITELY stay there again. We camped at Uncompahgre River RV Park (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

If you ride a motorcycle, you MUST drive the hwy 141/145/62 loop. It is around 250 miles from Olathe. An absolutely AMAZING ride! If you don't mind rough dirt, check out the Dominguez- Escalante National Conservation Area. Very beautiful, and rugged area.

Clayton Lake State Park, Clayton, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Used as an overnight stop. The road in is a bit long, and winding. Site was a bit un-level, but I was able to get the trailer level enough while still attached. Utilities worked well. Beautiful area. No shade, but cool in the evening. A bit off the highway, but would probably use again. Lots of Boy Scouts there that weekend. They were enjoying it. Ranger was very helpful. Price reflects on-line reservation fee. We camped at Clayton Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Arkansas River Rim Campground & RV Park, Buena Vista, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Cramped very unlevel gravel site with sewer connection on the uphill end. Adequate water pressure, and electrical connection. Spotty wifi.
Fortunately, we stay gone most of the time when we camp.
Nice people, and nice river access.
Best price I could find on short notice in the Buena Vista area.
Would not stay in the site I was in again, but would stay in CG. We camped at Arkansas River Rim Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Stillwell Store and RV Park, Alpine, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

If you are expecting a posh resort RV Park, don’t come to the Big Bend. This is the Chihuahuan Desert, not Estes Park Colorado. The RV parks that are close to Big Bend National Park are all what would be termed rustic. The desert climate is rough on everything, and everywhere is far away so luxuries are too expensive to ship in. People learn to make do with what they have. That is what most people love about the Big Bend. It is getting away from the rat race. Stillwell Store is nothing fancy. They don’t claim to be. What they are is a no frills full hook-up gateway to Big Bend NP. Basically, you have three options if you want full hookups in the area. They are all widely separated mileage-wise, but are fairly similarly close to the Park Headquarters. Stillwell has the best prices for full hook-ups hands down. They are not owned by the same family anymore, but they do a nice job of making you feel welcome. They may not have the entertainment they had, but give them a chance to get settled, and I’m sure they will get lots of repeat campers. I will be one. I rate them not against the perfect RV Park, but against what is available as local competition. They more than hold their own. We camped at Stillwell Store and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

A nice park. The campground is well shaded. The sites are adequately far apart. Our site (#2) was not exceptionally level. The hookups were in good shape. The park employees are helpful, and friendly. The park itself is a beautiful place. Lots of hiking trails. We camped at Mount Magazine State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Long Pool Recreation Area, Dover, Arkansas

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Fairly level site with adequate room. The sites are nicely spaced apart. The water and electrical hookups were in good shape. The only major drawback was the poison ivy. It was EVERYWHERE. Overall a nice National Forest campground. Just be careful where you walk! I am still itching! We camped at Long Pool Recreation Area in a Travel Trailer.

Cedar Valley RV Park , Guthrie, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Nice Campground. All pull-through sites. Good electrical and water connections. Sewer connection was just a little loose fitting. Sites were fairly level with concrete pads. The only drawback is the 6 mile drive from the Interstate. Would camp there again. We camped at Cedar Valley RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Manor RV Park, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

A good RV park. The electrical service was good. The water service was a little wobbly and a just a little low on pressure, but adequate. The sewer service was functional. Our trailer is less than 25 feet, so we got a spot for $28 per day. For Estes Park, that is very reasonable. The sites are kind of tight, but there were some big rigs there. The staff were helpful, and very friendly. I'm sure you could find a more up-scale park to stay in, but I doubt you could find a better value. We spend most of our time in the National Park hiking, so all we need is a comfortable place to park the trailer. We found it at Manor. Would definitely stay there again. We camped at Manor RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice campground. Well manicured, with excellent shade. Good water and electrical connections. It is a city park and police collect the money, so there is good security. Would definitely camp there again. We camped at Ellis Lakeside Campground in a Travel Trailer.
