Woodhaven RV Park of Halifax, Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Roads and sites are gravel. Sites are almost on top of each other. Heavily wooded. Water filter needed daily cleaning as it would turn brown with what appeared to be sediment. Possibly their well is not performing properly? Electricity & water supply on a 4x4 post loosely fitting in the ground. No circuit breaker at the post. We will not return here. We camped at Woodhaven RV Park of Halifax in a Motorhome.

Anchor Down RV Resort, Dandridge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $89.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the top RV parks in the country. Facilities are first rate, from the sites, to the playgrounds, boat ramps and dog parks. Poweris excellent, water pressure fine. Golf carts available to rent, firewood delivered to your site. This is our second visit and we will return if we can get in. We camped at Anchor Down RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Camp Hatteras RV Resort & Campground, Waves, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

Park is showing it's age from the wear and tear of being a coastal park. Roads though paved, need work. Sites tight between RVs. Power good, water pressure fine. Don't know if we will return. We camped at Camp Hatteras RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Moorings Oceanfront RV Resort, Belfast, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $91.00
Overall Rating:

This facility is a hidden gem. The views of the bay are well worth a 10. The roads are gravel as are the sites, but this is Maine. The power was excellent as was the water pressure. Sites had nice grass areas between them. Grounds excellently maintained. Staff friendly and helpful. I would have given a 10, but there was no pool, and no paved roads. We will return. We camped at Moorings Oceanfront RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This facility is HEAVILY WOODED. Gravel roads & dirt/gravel sites. Water filter closed with what appeared to be iron (orange color). Roads are difficult for big rigs. Power good. Hour from Boston. Will not return. We camped at Boston Minuteman Campground in a Motorhome.

Fairly wide sites, good power, water pressure fine. Paved roads, paved sites. Facility evolving to an ownership resort. Mix of RV sites and park models. Gated security access. Close to shopping & dining. Will return - only with Passport rate though. We camped at Ocean Breeze Resort in a Motorhome.

CreekFire Motor Ranch, Savannah, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

An overnight stop off of I-95 for us. It had been raining and the facility has no viable draining for the sites or grounds. Did not like connecting to power while in a puddle of mud & water. The site was a trough of water from the weight of the previous vehicles. Close to neighbors. Power good, water pressure fine. Large pool, but didn't use it. We camped at CreekFire Motor Ranch in a Motorhome.

Lazydays RV Campground, Seffner, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

Spaces and tow vehicle parking is extremely tight. We felt safe but jaded in like sardines. Trees are close to your roof and drop stuff on your RV. Close to Tampa. A place to park & visit Tampa, nothing more. One would think Lazy Days could do better. We camped at Lazydays RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Park as previously noted is an ownership resort. But it is a resort. Some sites are fully improved, some are grass parking with paver patios. We enjoyed it here, and found the people extremely friendly, owners and renters. We camped at Silver Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Yellowstone Holiday RV Campground & Marina, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

The other reviews are accurate. Wide, clean spaces, good wifi, good power & water. Clear view for satellites. Verizon worked well & 15 minutes from the west entrance to Yellowstone. The views of Hebgen Lake and the snow covered mountains are incredible. You are away from the hustle of West Yellowstone and will enjoy the solitude of this side of Montana. The management team here is superior. They have a marina on site 7 will rent you a boat for $20 per hour, gas included. Normally we would not rate a park a "10" that has gravel roads and sites, (however they have your picnic table on a concrete pad), but the place is awesome. We will return... We camped at Yellowstone Holiday RV Campground & Marina in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Yellowstone is experiencing tremendous crowds. I'd recommend that you add a couple of days to your plans to truly enjoy the park. Get in the park early to avoid the crowds and busses.

Teton Valley Resort, Victor, Idaho

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

We should have paid close attention to the post below. Their observations were spot on, though we are rating them much lower. The $70 plus per night for this RV park is more than triple what they should charge. The facility should be shut down during the current extensive construction process.

Succinctly, it is a construction zone. They will not tell you this when you make reservations. Sadly, they are not moving fast with the construction. There are exposed pipes, open ditches, electrical boxes knocked over, etc. The gravel roads are more dust or mud than gravel with construction debris adjacent to the road. Dirt or mud is a problem everywhere due to the construction. Given the level of construction, my guess is that they are two years from completion.

The majority of the sites are extremely thin, (thinner than most of the older KOA's) to the point that when you step out of your rig, you may trip over your neighbors' sewer pipe or the water supply. Most sites share the water supply. You may not be able to fully extend an awning. Depending on the width of your neighbors slide out, they may not be able to fully extend it.

The electrical is such that you share an electrical pole. The first one there gets the 50-amp as there is only one 50-amp plug for the pole. The back row of sites backs up to a neighborhood that appears a bit sketchy given the trash & junk cars in the yards. The only guaranteed satellite friendly site is 104.

Big rigs will have very tight turns in this park. Wi-Fi is weak. The only saving grace to this park is the work-camper couples that do their very best to work around all of the ongoing issues. We WILL NOT return to this park. There are others in Jackson Hole that are much nicer though more expensive. This park is 30 to 45 minutes from Jackson Hole. We camped at Teton Valley Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
