Tips for other Campers:

Visit the Port Homes being built at Reunion Pointe. They are really spectacular and a great idea for us Baby Boomers who are looking for a little bit of "permanency" without giving up the RVing lifestyle.

North Crest RV Park, Waco, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

The Owner/Manager makes this park. He is constantly working and cleaning the grounds. He would bend over backwards to ensure his guests have a great experience. Nothing fancy here, but we would return to this park whenever we come through Waco. Good utilities, concrete pad with very nice patio tables. Spacious sites, plenty of shade, and perfect location for seeing the sites in Waco (Magnolia Market). We camped at North Crest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We came to Waco to visit The Magnolia Market. Try to go on a weekday rather than a Saturday or Sunday. It was fabulous! Be sure to get a cupcake at the Bakery. They were to die for!

Santa Rosa RV Resort, Navarre, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

Sadly, as with so many RV Resorts/Parks we've stayed at across the U.S. (we are full time RVers), this beautiful resort is slowly transitioning into the equivalent of the RV version of a mobile home park. Even though they are living in an RV, it would be difficult to define these folks as "Rvers", they simply live here in an RV. It's gorgeous here, right on the Santa Rosa Sound, perfect pads, hook-ups, and amenities. This resort deserves a "10+" but we gave it a "9" because of the diminishing access of RV sites available for those of us who are traveling RVers. We camped at Santa Rosa RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Colorado Landing, La Grange, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This park was a bit out of the way and not easy to find, but well worth the effort. Interior roads are rough. Sites are gravel, but ample sized. Patio tables and BBQ's at each site, clean FHU utilities. Easy check-in with friendly host. Sparkling clean pool and plenty of area to walk around and down to the river. Dog friendly. Cute town of LaGrange nearby. We would stay here again. We camped at Colorado Landing in a Motorhome.

A+ Motel & RV Park, Sulphur, Louisiana

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This park is a hidden gem! No way did we expect an RV Park connected to a motel would be as nice, but we were pleasantly surprised. We had a back-in site right on the man-made lake which was clean and full of fish, turtles and frogs. Sites were concrete with patios, BBQ's and tables on each site. Beautifully manicured lawns throughout the park. Good FHU service, nicely spaced. Check in was easy, with whom I believe was the owner. Great value, excellent interior roads. We will recommend this park. We camped at A+ Motel & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Emerald Beach RV Park, Navarre, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is our second stay here and we will return. Sites are plenty long for our 38' Class A with ample parking for towed vehicle. Good FHU's. Paved sites and patios, with tables. Very welcoming, friendly staff and fellow RVers. Lots of activities, a gorgeous beach area with covered areas for gatherings. Nice clubhouse, sparkling pool, and doggie area. FREE Donut Social on Wednesdays and Ice Cream on Saturdays! We've tried other parks in the area and this is by far our favorite. We camped at Emerald Beach RV Park in a Motorhome.

Don't miss Joe Patti's Seafood Market, the NAS Air Museum (free) and downtown Farmers Market in Pensacola. The National Seashore is close by and outstandingly beautiful. The water on the Gulf of Mexico is gorgeous!

Beverly Beach RV Camptown RV Resort, Flagler Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $130.00
Overall Rating:

Very Pricey for what you get. I paid less in Key West and this sure isn't Key West. The price reflects the rate charged during "Bike Week", so you pay a premium to put up with constant noise into the AM. The ridiculousley high rate is my only complaint. This wasn't even for a waterfront site. Otherwise, the park is as others have described, right on the beach, well stocked store, and friendly staff. I probably wouldn't stay here again, even at the normal rate, which is also over priced. We camped at Beverly Beach RV Camptown RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground, Buellton, California

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $73.00
Overall Rating:

I was disappointed regarding the rate ($66 + Tax). I expected more for that price. This was the most expensive CA RV park we have stayed in and I would rank it at the lowest. The sites were close together, and on dirt with some gravel. I didn't see the value. I would put more emphasis on "campground" and less on "resort" in the park's name. Unfortunately, It is the only game in town if you want to go to Solvang. I would probably stay at another park in the future and make the drive. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.
