Normandy Farms Family Camping Resort, Foxboro, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

This is a "TRUE" RV resort! Great directional signage. Staff extremely nice and very helpful. Campground immaculate ... about the best we've seen anywhere. There are an amazing number of facilities throughout; which we did not have time to take advantage of while there. Due to its size, yo can get a lot of walking exercise getting from one place to another. I hope we have another excuse to stay here longer in the future. We camped at Normandy Farms Family Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Convenient to everything the Boston, Providence and Massachusetts south shore areas. However, the closer to Boston one gets, the worse the traffic can be. Recommend using the MBTA if possible.

Beach Rose RV Park, Salisbury, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

The new owners are the nicest people! This is a relatively small RV Park and less than 4 miles off I-95 (Exit 58) and only 2 miles from the Salisbury Beach area. Thee sites are well-maintained and quiet hours seemed to be religiously observed. They have a pool, bocci ball and shuffleboard courts, horseshoes available, a lot for a campground with such few sites. If the price weren't quite so high, I'd rate this a high-NINE. We camped at Beach Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Shore Hills Campground and RV Park, Boothbay, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice and convenient campground if visiting the Boothbay area. Staff helpful and have great information about the area. We were in the 50 amps sites which are in an open area and fairly close to one another. However, these sites have a raised wooden patio-deck and a picnic table which we found a real asset. We would absolutely stay here again. One thing to be aware of is that the accept checks and cash but no credit cards. We camped at Shore Hills Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wolfeboro Campground, Wolfeboro, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful, secluded and heavily wooded campground located just six miles east of Wolfeboro. Over the course of our three night stay, it was remarkably quiet. The owner was extremely helpful when we arrived and subsequently when we had an electrical issue ... and even came by later to make sure we'd solved our problem. Our site was HUGE and clean. They have just three 50 amp sites. Will definitely stay here again! We camped at Wolfeboro Campground in a Motorhome.

Twin Mountain Motor Court & RV Park, Twin Mountain, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The is a lovely RV park. Easy to find. The new owners are wonderful. Conveniently located to Franconia, Crawford and even Pinkham Notches. The only drawback, and why rated as an 8 rather than a 9 is the lack of 50 amp service. For larger rigs, it can make running heat or a/c systems when any other appliances are being used challenging (we blew an internal circuit breaker on a chilly morning). That said, if coming back through Twin Mountain, we'd plan to stay here again. We camped at Twin Mountain Motor Court & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Limehurst Lake Campground, Williamstown, Vermont

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is beautiful ... a real jewel! A short drive from I-89 and easy access off VT-14. The new owners are wonderful. The park, abutting a small, private lake, is exceptionally clean. When the foliage turns in another 3-4 weeks, the colors will be spectacular. As we will be again visiting friends in the area we plan to come back. Clearly in our top-10 of the more than 360 campgrounds we've stayed across the US and Canada! We camped at Limehurst Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Rip Van Winkle Campground, Saugerties, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $66.00
Overall Rating:

This is a surprisingly large campground with many opportunities for families with kids (which we do not travel with). Clean. Very quite. Loved the AM complimentary coffee. Our site (#2) was wooded and about as private as you'll find anywhere. Staff very friendly and helpful! Signage from I-87 (Exit 20) was excellent. Highly recommend and would stay there again if in the area. We camped at Rip Van Winkle Campground in a Motorhome.

Americamps RV Resort, Ashland, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $66.00
Overall Rating:

This is our campground of choice on our first night when heading south or last night before getting home when heading north. It is conveniently located just off I-89. Landscaping continues to improve. Additional security has been added. Staff excellent. Thursday evening dinner and six day breakfasts I9they only ask for donations) are an added benefit. As for complaints about WiFi, it varies widely from campground to campground. For people who travel a great deal, I recommend for convenience, strength and privacy a VPN (i.e. Verizon Jet Pack/Hotspot). We camped at Americamps RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pecan Park RV Resort, Jacksonville, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $66.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here for many years enroute or returning from west Florida. Meticulously maintained and extremely convenient to I-95. As mentioned on previous reviews, its only drawback is its location one one of the approach/departure (depending on the wind) routes to and from Jacksonville International Airport ... with the aircraft passing just 600 feet overhead. However, it is still a first rate RV park! We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Hilton Head Harbor RV Resort & Marina, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $87.00
Overall Rating:

We've stayed here a number of times as it is clearly the best RV park in the area. However, it has become a bit pricey. Also, unless you pay by check or in cash, you will be charged a 3% surcharge when using a credit card; unnecessary for the price being charged. We camped at Hilton Head Harbor RV Resort & Marina in a Motorhome.

Sun-N-Fun RV Resort, Sarasota, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

After staying here for short intervals to visit friends and family in the Sarasota area, this was our fourth winter (January thru early May) staying at Sun N Fun. As others have noted, if you can't find some activity to get involved with, it's you own fault. For us, we seem to have been busy nearly every day. The staff, both full time and volunteers are outstanding (with the exception of the spotty assistance when backing into sites, especially for those with limited RVing experience). As large as it is, the park is clean, neat and well-maintained. The WiFi is adequate for many folks, but for people doing banking and other heavy-duty and.or personal work over the Internet, a private "hot spot" is recommended. Since Sun Properties purchased Sun N Fun, noticeable investments have been made. We take exception to the view that people are cliquey. To the contrary, we have found that across the several dozen activities we are involved with on a regular basis, people have been open, warm and if trying an activity for the first time, more than willing to help. My only recommendation for the park is to better police the 10 MPH speed limit and under-aged children driving golf carts and mini-motorcycles. Having stayed in some 350 different RV parks, campgrounds and state/provincial parks across the United States and Canada, the value, given the many activities available, is the best we've seen. We camped at Sun-N-Fun RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

As with the park, itself, if one can't find things to do in the Sarasota area, they simply aren't looking. Best bets not to be missed, however, Sailor Circus, Mote Aquarium, Sarasota Circus, Herrmanns' Royal Lipizzan Stallions, Myakka State Park, Sarasota National Veterans Cemetery, Big Cat Habitat and the Siesta Key Sunday Night Drum Circle

Pecan Park RV Resort, Jacksonville, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2019 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

This RV park's only drawback is its proximity to Jacksonville International Airport ... as the glide path for arriving planes puts them just a couple of hundred feet over park. However, we have stayed here on a number of occasions when heading to or returning from central and southern Florida; and will continue to do so. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Camp Lake Jasper RV Resort, Hardeeville, South Carolina

Date of Stay: January, 2019 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is about 2 miles off I-95, although the road easily navigated. When taking your left off SC-278, go straight rather than the slightly shorter right. Our site was a new one on gravel with some grass but also some muddy areas; as opposed to the older sites which do not appear to have the mud problem. Despite its proximity to I-95, we did not hear any traffic noises. This campground has great potential. We camped at Camp Lake Jasper RV Resort in a Motorhome.
