Escondido RV Resort, Escondido, California

Date of Stay: March, 2010 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a few days in the upper level in our 38 footer. We have 2 dogs and there was a very nice, grass doggie area in the upper level, although it was damp and needed mowing. Wished they had a fenced dog run, the adjacent park did not allow dogs. The grounds are well kept and very nice, a good view from the upper level. Although we had to back into our site, it was very easy and wide enough to accommodate our 4 slides. The laundry room had one washer and a dryer out of order, we had 6 loads and there were enough machines. We will definitely return. We camped at Escondido RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Ventura Beach RV Resort, Ventura, California

Date of Stay: March, 2010 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for a week in a 38' 5th Wheel. We have 2 dogs, and the walking areas are huge when the campground is not full. It is very noisy, but we just wore earplugs when sitting outside. After the second night we became accustomed to the freeway noise and had no trouble sleeping. Easy access off Highway 101 from the north, not quite so easy from the south. But close to the downtown area, which is filled with small shops and cafes. Johnny's Burritos in the downtown area highly rated, even though there is no ambiance. Nice long sites, wide enough for our 4 slides. We will stay here again. We camped at Ventura Beach RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Oceanside RV Park, Oceanside, California

Date of Stay: January, 2010 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here a week. Owner was friendly and helpful but this park is too expensive for what you get. Dog run was dirty, as the long-term residents were not cleaning up after their dogs. No other place in the park to walk dogs. Site were extremely narrow and too short. Few spaces for overnighters, the streets are narrow. We will not stay here again. We camped at Oceanside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
