St. Cloud Campground & RV Park, Saint Cloud, Minnesota
Date of Stay:
May, 2018 -
$30.00
Overall Rating:
Park is only one in area and we think that contributes to owner/manager attitude re: campers and others. He seldom interacts with campers and that is OK as he has excellent work campers doing most of the usual RV park tasks. No cable and antenna reception is limited to non-existent. WiFi also minimal other than in the office area. Park is clean and well maintained. A few sites (very few) are difficult to get into. Heated pool. We camped at St. Cloud Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Many things to do including fishing, golfing, shopping, sight-seeing (near Charles Lindberg's home, area colleges, flower parks, walking trails, etc.)

River View Campground, Owatonna, Minnesota
Date of Stay:
May, 2018 -
$22.00
Overall Rating:
Only stayed one night. Near freeway which has some construction but park can be accessed without problems. GPS gave us some errors but we made it OK! Park is mostly permanent seasonal but well maintained and attractive. Owners have sold and hopefully new managers will continue their good work. We camped at River View Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
Only stayed one night and as this campground out in the country, we assume you have to drive to get to areas you might need. River is near and maybe used for floating, fishing??

Whispering Oaks Campground, Story City, Iowa
Date of Stay:
May, 2018 -
$32.00
Overall Rating:
I do not understand how any of our fellow campers could rate this park as anything other than "terrible!" Muddy roads and sites; no available staff; mold in rest rooms. Muddy floors and over flowing garbage containers in bathrooms. We stayed only one night (as planned) and perhaps those sites in back of campground were better? Would NEVER stay here again and urge those staying one night to find another RV park. Big price for what you receive. We camped at Whispering Oaks Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
Stayed one night. A camper next to us agreed this park was not in good shape but was near to many activities and thus attractive to those interested in such.

Country Gardens RV Park, Odessa, Missouri

Only stayed one night. Easily accessed from freeway. Our pull-through was a problem for leveling and we noticed others had similar issues. Friendly and helpful staff. We camped at Country Gardens RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

St. Peters' 370 Lakeside Park, Saint Peters, Missouri
Date of Stay:
May, 2018 -
$42.00
Overall Rating:
We've stayed here before and likely to again. Very expensive but its proximity to freeway, staff friendliness and facilities tend to make one accept the cost. We camped at St. Peters' 370 Lakeside Park in a Fifth Wheel.
We only stayed overnight but in the past, we have taken advantage of numerous restaurants and shopping opportunities as well as sight-seeing.

Grizzly's RV Park, Blytheville, Arkansas
Date of Stay:
May, 2018 -
$13.00
Overall Rating:
Definitely not the worst RV park we have stayed in during our 15 years of full time camping but we would not here again. No staff. No directions. One lone building for a single toilet and shower (but clean). Nearly all other occupants were workers in the area. Easily accessible from freeway and thus tempting but we would encourage other campers to find another RV park if possible. We camped at Grizzly's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
In the middle of "nowhere" though to be totally honest, we had planned to stay only one night and thus did not explore the area. Perhaps we missed some worthy sights?

Campers Inn Inc., Panama City Beach, Florida
Date of Stay:
March, 2018 -
$20.00
Overall Rating:
We opted to stay here to be near the walking beach which is just across the road from the Park. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms, showers and laundry are in dated building but staff worked hard to keep them clean (and were successful). Our negatives would be the cost as the $20 did not include a $100/monthly tax and the monthly rate increased by $200 beginning 3/1; hard to keep sand out of RV's; next to road and some nightclubs were quite noisy late into evening and early morning. Plus factors are staff, store, shopping and the beach. We camped at Campers Inn Inc. in a Fifth Wheel.
Usual box stores, golf, tourist attractions (ie, Ripley's, miniature golf, go karts, etc.)

Anchors Aweigh RV Resort, Foley, Alabama
Date of Stay:
February, 2018 -
$15.00
Overall Rating:
One of the very best parks we have stayed at during our 15 years of full time living in an RV. Particularly nice were the large, paved streets. Very friendly and responsive staff. We camped at Anchors Aweigh RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
Gulf Shores and its State Park as well as other things worth seeing is about 10 minutes south of this RV park. Foley itself has usual "Big Box" stores. The State Park is free for daily use and also has an exceptional RV park that we may stay at in the future.

Alliance Hill 50 Plus RV Resort, Marianna, Florida
Date of Stay:
November, 2017 -
$20.00
Overall Rating:
An interesting park in that the owner lives about 60 miles away but this presents no problem whatsoever with checking in, dealing with issues, etc. Very, very friendly and accommodating. New clubhouse and thus bathrooms and showers are exceptional. Owner has recently added an on-site manager who was always helpful. Two negatives: 1) about 10 miles from town and thus blessedly quiet BUT this means some driving for supplies; 2) Passport America users tend to be given back in sites. We camped at Alliance Hill 50 Plus RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
Nearby town, Marianna, has all necessary stores and health services. Park is about an hour North of the Gulf beaches. Marianna has some very nice parks for sight seeing, walkin, etc. as well as some historic buildings.

The Oaks at Point South, Yemassee, South Carolina
Date of Stay:
October, 2017 -
$44.00
Overall Rating:
Very picturesque park that is dated and good use some TLC. Unable to get WIFI except in office and staff there were very helpful, friendly, etc. Bathrooms and showers OK. We camped at The Oaks at Point South in a Fifth Wheel.
Many nearby historic towns and parks to visit. We'd probably stay here again though we would also check out other Parks before committing.

Cherry Hill Park (Washington DC), College Park, Maryland
Date of Stay:
October, 2017 -
$65.00
Overall Rating:
There is nothing negative about this Park. Great interior roads. Spacious facilities. Grassy sites. City bus pickup ($1.00 each way) direct to subway ($6.00 r.t.) which drops you off a block from the National Mall. Clean pools, bathrooms and showers. Restaurant with good food that was not too expensive. VERY helpful staff. Expensive but worth it. (I do not recall our site number.) Would certainly stay here again. Traffic getting to Park was horrendous, stressful but not fault of Park. We camped at Cherry Hill Park (Washington DC) in a Fifth Wheel.
Box stores nearby for groceries, eating, etc. We spent each day we were camped on the National Mall.

Mountain Top Bluegrass Festival & Campground, Tarentum, Pennsylvania
Date of Stay:
October, 2017 -
$23.00
Overall Rating:
As other reviews have noted, owners/managers not on site but this was not a problem for us. Park is located on a narrow, hilly and winding road outside of town. Bathrooms and showers in a dirty cinder block building. Park itself is wooded and attractive. Going through town to get to the park was difficult due to narrow city streets and heavy traffic. We would not stay here again. We camped at Mountain Top Bluegrass Festival & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
There are the usual "box" stores but some distance from the park which, as noted, was a challenge to navigate.

Korte's Checkers Welcome Campground, Welcome, Minnesota
Date of Stay:
September, 2017 -

Overall Rating:
We were treated with respect and even though we arrived when the office was closed, they came quickly from their on-site home when we rang their alert. Bathrooms and showers clean. Plenty of shade trees and pull-throughs. We only stayed one night. Did not attempt to use our TV antenna; no cable. Easily accessed from freeway. We camped at Korte's Checkers Welcome Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Frontier Fort Campground, Jamestown, North Dakota
Date of Stay:
May, 2010 -
$24.00
Overall Rating:
We have two complaints. 1) the grouchy attitude of the owner, 2) the fact they do not honor the 50% Passport America fee (the full rate being $24 with PA rate starting at $16. When we mentioned this to owner, he became angry and told us we could look for another park somewhere else. We did. On the positive side, it is readily accessible from the freeway and near a frontier village and museum. Food at the restaurant was good and prices also good. We camped at Frontier Fort Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Frontier Fort Campground, Jamestown, North Dakota
Date of Stay:
July, 2009 -
$18.00
Overall Rating:
Office personnel are friendly though often handicapped by not being allowed to make decisions without talking with manager. Latter is often short-tempered. Full daily rates are about $24 though Passport members are charged $18. Passport America has been notified of this. Manager says "if you don't like it, leave." Easily accessed from freeway and into campground. Great for (very) short stays. Handy to downtown. Full time residents can be noisy with no relief available from manager. We camped at Frontier Fort Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
