Been visiting this campground for decades and have had some good times there. Like so many others had commented on Holiday Travel park's Facebook Review section, this place is infested with thievery. Actually was burglarized in this campground November 2017, someone entered my camper while I walked to the restroom before 10 pm. Sounds like you need to put everything away or it will be stolen at this campground, lock your vehicles, apparently management is pretty sloppy. 2017 was not the first time someone entered my camper at this campground either. If it has a lock, Lock it.... We camped at Holiday Trav-L-Park in a Tent Trailer.

I made my reservation by phone and accepted an electric only site as it was waterfront and close to the rest rooms. After arriving and checking in proceeded to site where there was a parked boater's trailer and truck parked left unattended. Went back to office and was given a choice of five more sites, four of which also had boater's trailer and trucks parked unattended. I was offered a choice to select a site with both water and power, however we preferred the waterfront site. We were able to take the one site available that did not have a boater parked upon. Beautiful view of the river from our site. The swimming pool was first class and lifeguarded, and offered ice cream to purchase. I was not thrilled with the place as there was a lot of boater traffic, 5 AM noise, boat fuel odor from the rude boaters. The bathrooms were not cleaned from my arrival on Saturday until after check out time on Sunday. Primitive camping area to bathrooms area will be a bit of a hike, but does offer on the water tent sites. Enjoy the pool, stay far away from the boat launch. We camped at Chickahominy Riverfront Park in a Tent Trailer.

The bath house has been in poor condition for years, two toilets for men, two toilets for women, but most of the time one toilet was out of order in each room. No mirrors in men's room, women's room a mix of paint, an unfinished job, I was told. Showers had no towel hooks whatsoever. Nice campground with a new swimming pool. Plenty of guests and money going into the park, however the restrooms everyone was complaining about the condition. Apparently their septic system is in poor condition too. Restroom was designed for more fixtures than were in them. I will return, but looking forward to bringing my own camper with a toilet. We camped at Ed Allen's Campground & Cottages in a Tent.
