Twilight on the Erie RV park, Macedon, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

Google Maps is not reliable for getting to the park, as it gives street names which do not appear on the street signs. Most of the street signs give route numbers instead of names. Our Garmin got us to the park, although Garmin believes the park is at the corner of Canandaigua & Marina Pkwy. You need to make the turn onto the Marina Pkwy & go to the end of the road where you will see the covered wagon at the park entrance. We stayed 3 nights to visit family in the area. Sites are very spacious with stabilized gravel pads & grassy yard. We had full hook-ups with 50 amp electric. Services worked well. Water is high pressure, so we used a pressure reducer. There are many seasonal residents with rigs in good condition & lots neat. Staff very friendly & helpful. There are picnic tables & benches along the Erie Canal where you can sit & watch the boats go by. Very kid friendly park with great play ground. Price is higher than we like to pay, but choices in this area are limited. We would stay here again. We camped at Twilight on the Erie RV park in a Motorhome.

Minneapolis Northwest KOA, Rogers, Minnesota

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The sites are sandy with grass & very shady. We were in a 40' motor home & although the site was barely long enough for our rig, there was adequate space alongside it to park our towed vehicle. I would give a higher rating if pads were stabilized gravel or paved. Our site was spacious. We were able to shoot our roof top satellite through the trees for TV reception. The bathrooms are immaculate and the staff are very friendly & helpful. Our Verizon had 2 bars. We camped at Minneapolis Northwest KOA in a Motorhome.

Autumn Woods RV Park, Rochester, Minnesota

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 1 night to see family in the area. Better to call the park for directions into the park than to rely on Google Maps. Very easy access from the highway. Our site was adequate for our 40' motor home plus towed vehicle. Hard gravel level site. Very helpful friendly staff. Well manicured park. Good Verizon. We camped at Autumn Woods RV Park in a Motorhome.

Valencia Travel Village, Castaic, California

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

The price we paid reflected the weekly rate. It's more than we usually pay, however given it's location close to a big city it is about as good as you can get. It is one of the best maintained parks we have ever stayed in. Staff keep the grounds & buildings in excellent condition. Most sites are very tight, however we were in section K which has large sites & we were comfortable with our 40' motor home with 4 slides, our pick up truck & our motorcycle. We camped at Valencia Travel Village in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Henry Mayo Drive address is on a road that appears to have recently had changes made to it's ingress & egress. Google maps directs you to use an approach that does not work well. Best directions to the park: Exit I-5 at 172 mile marker, go west on Hwy 126 for 1 mile. Park entrance is on the left with a left turn lane & a traffic light.

Longstreet Hotel Casino & RV Resort, Amargosa Valley, Nevada

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here 2 weeks to tour Death Valley National Park. About 45 minutes from the Furnace Creek Visitors Center. Would have given 10 stars if sites & campground roads had been paved to cut down on the dust. Everything is gravel. Sites are reasonably level, long & wide. Most sites are pull through & are long enough for our 40' motor home with pick-truck hooked up & ready to roll out in the morning. Good power, water, & sewer. Verizon has only 1 bar & was only 3G service, however the park wifi is strong & works well at the sites. We camped at Longstreet Hotel Casino & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to visit Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge about 1 mile north on HWY 373. We spent 3 afternoons there. Recycling is available about 5 miles north on HWY 373. All recyclables are accepted. Single point system. The closest real grocery stores are in Pahrump, 37 miles away. C- Store in the casino has a few grocery items but may be out of what you want when you need it.

Abe's RV Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older, family operated park which is a little rough around the edges. Many sites are occupied on a long term basis. Sites have concrete pads & are reasonably level and have space for the tow/towed vehicle. Sewers need to be upgraded with threaded connections. Good water pressure. 50 amp service worked well. When we tried to dump our sewer tanks, the water would not go down, however the owner promptly had a service come in to rectify the situation. Location is on I-35 service road which makes it easy-on & easy-off. We were on a site away from the road so had no highway noise. Owners are friendly & accommodating. We would return here again. We camped at Abe's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Agricenter International RV Park, Memphis, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 1 week to see Memphis and enjoy some music. Perfect place for this. Only about 20 minutes from Beale St. Easy in & easy out. Sites are long, very adequate for our 40' motor home, towed vehicle & motor cycle. Sites are a little narrow, but we had no difficulty putting out slides & awnings. Pads are hard gravel & level. Utilities all worked well. Good Verizon. Adjacent Farmers Market is open 6 days/week. Recycling available in Agricenter parking lot near campground. We would stay here again. We camped at Agricenter International RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cardinal Center Campground, Marengo, Ohio

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We were on site 621, which is on the periphery of the camp ground, adjacent to the shooting range. Basically a big gravel parking lot with amenities. That being said, our site was huge with ample space for our 40' motor home, pick-up truck & motorcycle. All services worked well. The main portion of the campground is lovely, with trees & grass. Location is very convenient to the interstate & to the greater Columbus area. Sunbury is 8 miles away & has all the shopping you could possibly need. We would definitely return here. We camped at Cardinal Center Campground in a Motorhome.

Northwestern Michigan Fairgrounds Campground, Traverse City, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

We spent 1 week in a 40' motor home. The nightly rate reflects weekly discount. All sites have 30-50 amp electric and a few have water hook-ups. The dump station is easily accessed by big rigs. The bathrooms & showers are a new feature since our previous stays. Each shower is a complete bathroom, with stool & lavatory, & 2 of them are handicapped accessible. The bathrooms are not cleaned regularly & the concrete floors would be greatly improved by sealing and/or painting so they could be kept free of sand. There are no benches in the shower areas. There is an on-site host and the campground is quiet & safe. This is not a resort. It is a fairgrounds with good facilities for those who wish to enjoy the Grand Traverse Bay area. This campground is closed to outsiders during fair week, so check the website for dates. We camped at Northwestern Michigan Fairgrounds Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Doing lots of upgrades. New paving, fairly level gravel sites. Only had to drive the motorhome up on one board to level. All sites with full (50 amp) services dthat worked well. Believe it or not, Wifi worked well. Great area for all the bourbon tour. Nice area, fair price, we would stay here again. We camped at White Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Well groomed and managed park. Concrete pads with patio, all services worked flawlessly and Voila, wifi strong enough you can actually use it any time of day. Sites large enough for ample parking and could still sit outside. Very good location to see the historic sites. Stayed in a 40 ft. motorhome. We would come here again. Safe Harbor RV Park, Riverside, Alabama

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The price we paid included taxes. This is a no frills park. That being said, the sites were adequate for our 40' motor home, pick-up truck, & motorcycle. Services worked well. We thought we were reserved for a 50 amp site, but it turned out to be only 30 amps. The web-site had led us to believe that all sites were 30/50 amp, but that is not the case. We stayed 4 nights to see a motor-sports museum & visit family. This is a clean safe place & we would return. We camped at Safe Harbor RV Park in a Motorhome.

Northport Campground, Northport, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

The owners are very pleasant & accommodating. We were delayed on our arrival date by 2 weeks due to mechanical problems, but they held our site for our late arrival without any fees or penalties. The rate we paid was based on 1 month stay. Lots are large. We were in a 40' motor home with 4 slides. Water, sewer, & 50 amp electric all worked well. Over all the park itself needs some updating & modernization. Laundry is plumbed for cold water only & machines should be replaced. After 1 month they still has not cashed our check! We camped at Northport Campground in a Motorhome.
