Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Daddy Joe's, Tabor City, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here on a 4 day weekend in early October. Every weekend of October has Halloween celebrations - be ready for lots of kids trick or treating. This is a very kid oriented park. Lots for children to do activity wise. We arrived on Thursday and had the camp mostly to ourselves but it was packed for the weekend. Many campers had golf carts in frequent use. The pools were clean and the water park play area well kept. The park is about an hour from Myrtle Beach - lots of things to see and do in surrounding area. Would definitely stay here again in off season and school in session. The sites are somewhat close but plenty of room to extend awnings and set out chairs. Had a level concrete pad for our trailer. No problems with noisy neighbors and "quiet time" was quiet. Cable tv worked well and no issues with wifi. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable about surrounding area. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Daddy Joe's in a Travel Trailer.

Pine Ridge RV Campground, Birch Run, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed overnight while going to Birch Run. Campground is close to Birch Run and Frankenmuth. Sites are fairly small, narrow and close together. Big rigs may have a hard time navigating some of the roads as there are many trees. There are some seasonal campers here but it is a good location to stay when doing other activities in the area. Campground easy access to I-75 but far away enough to escape noise. We camped at Pine Ridge RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots of shopping at Birch Run and surrounding area, antique dealers and Frankenmuth is close. Campground is a good alternative to staying in a hotel but not my idea of a "destination" campground. Office staff is very nice.

Hartwick Pines State Park, Grayling, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 5 days during the week while school is in session. All sites are good sized and have a paved pad to park on. There is a playground, 2 lakes for fishing and a logging museum with trails to hike or ride off road bicycles on. The whole park is great to ride bicycles on and there is a bike path to Grayling if you inclined to ride. All facilities very clean. Highly recommend this state park for a visit. We camped at Hartwick Pines State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Cabin Creek Campground , Jacksonville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here to visit son stationed at Camp Lejeune. Campground at least half full of seasonal/full time rvs. Our site was on grass with no trees next to a non moving trailer that was a full time residence. The office staff of one was very polite and knowledgeable of area. Campground is close to beaches, tourist stuff and shopping. Had a nice fireworks display on the 4th and a potluck dinner if desired. Good place to stay if doing other activities - not much to do at the campground. We camped at Cabin Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Top Sail beach is close by. Wilmington about 1/2 hour down the road. Price is good compared to others in area- just mainly a place to park and sleep while doing other things.

Alton RV Park, Galloway, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This park is close to Columbus and that is it's saving grace. This is not a destination park: no pool, hot tub or anything to do. There are no trees either - satellite reception would be great. The sites are clean but small - no room to extend an awning without imposing on your neighbor. There is only one toilet/shower/sink for each gender. This park is fine if you intend to do things in Columbus, otherwise not a place to relax. There is some road noise at night. We camped at Alton RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

I would only stay here if I had things to do in Columbus as there is truly nothing to do at this campground except use the bathroom. There are several other campgrounds with more family friendly features in Columbus area that while a little farther away, would be a better choice for a relaxing stay. I read this in a previous review of the park and wish I had paid better attention to that fact!

River Plantation RV Park, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 7 days while visiting attractions in the area. The campsite itself was shaded, had plenty of space and a concrete pad for the picnic table under our awning. The water tasted good. The wifi worked most of the time for email or looking things up on the internet. The cable had many channels if desired. The 2 pools were utilized by all ages and were clean. The shower was great and had plenty of pressure. We would stay here again. We camped at River Plantation RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Don't follow gps directions - call when getting close and get verbal directions from the staff. Their website says this also for good reason!

Lebanon / Cincinnati NE KOA, Lebanon, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Our second time here in 2 years. Had a great site close to office/bathroom. Site was good sized, clean and required minimal leveling of trailer. Wi-Fi signal was good. Bathrooms were in good condition and all fixtures worked properly. Pool though small was clean and in good condition. Really liked the umbrellas for shade at pool - nice touch! Office staff friendly and allows borrowing of DVDs for viewing at no charge. Town of Lebanon is friendly and close to several attractions. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Lebanon / Cincinnati NE KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Lazy River At Granville, Granville, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 3 days during the week and it was fairly quiet. The Wi-Fi costs $5/day or $50/week. Didn't try it at that price. The pool was clean and the kids' splashground was great for smaller children. There is a zipline that runs on Wednesdays and the weekend for a fee. The miniature golf needs TLC and is overgrown with plants. It appears that about half the sites are seasonal, so maybe it would be more crowded during the weekend. The staff was helpful and friendly. We camped at Lazy River At Granville in a Travel Trailer.

Sioux Falls KOA, Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access to I-90 but close to an airport. Sites were somewhat close but we only stayed one night while traveling. The pool was clean and warm. The staff was friendly and helpful. Mini-golf was extra but you do get one game free. No fires but you can rent a portable unit for a fire if desired. Cable TV works great for weather, etc. The campground had a recycling bin, wish others had this feature! We camped at Sioux Falls KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Beaver Lake Campground, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here a week while seeing area attractions. Sites were good sized. Kids will love the water slide (costs extra but worth it!), and the staff was very friendly. Laundry was clean and open 24 hours. The only thing that keeps from getting a "10" rating is that the showers were small. They were clean and had plenty of hot water, just the stall itself was small. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Beaver Lake Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Mitchell KOA, Mitchell, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 3 days while seeing the area attractions. The staff is friendly, but the sites are very close together. We did not have a fire ring although other sites did (we didn't ask for one). The pool was small but clean. Mini golf is free but only has 9 holes. The campground is close to I-90, but no noise was heard. We camped at Mitchell KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Interstate RV Park, Davenport, Iowa

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here twice in June 2010 while going to and from South Dakota. Both times the campground staff was friendly and helpful. We only stayed overnight both times. The showers were clean and had plenty of hot water. The pool was clean and the entire grounds looked well cared for. Has easy access from I-80. We camped at Interstate RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
