Carson Valley RV Resort, Minden, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Second time at this Park. We love it! All parks power, water, sewer and cable work perfectly. The Indoor swimming pool is really nice. I did notice that some of the perimeter sites might be difficult to level as I saw a few rigs with many blocks of wood under landing jacks. We camped in a 37' motorhome with toad and as noted, I could not leave the toad hooked up in our pull-through site although I was able to disconnect and park the car in front of the MH on an angle. Friendly staff and restaurant at hotel is excellent with nightly specials. Dog park was good size. I think having some type of shuttle to and from RV park to casino would be an added welcome touch. We were able to use roof top satellite and I think most sites would allow this. Having additional 50 amp sites would also be worthy. We will return. We camped at Carson Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Golden Pine RV Park, June Lake, California

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here a week in Site#1: probably best site at this park. Electric, sewer and water all good. The water pressure was TOO good, use your regulator. Cable TV with plenty of channels, we used a portable Dish to sight in DirecTV, some sites would allow Roof top dishes. A quick note: June and Gull Lakes are known for fishing so early morning traffic seems rather what someone might fully expect here. Although with that being said, we were on the street and the morning traffic was never even heard and I sleep with the bedroom window open! It's a quiet park with gravel sites. The host is always ready to help out and keep things running smoothly. Had a few near sightings during our stay but that's all part of the great outdoors. Let me also emphasize this: we normally have 4 small doggies, on this trip we had an additional larger dog that we babysit. This Park is extremely Dog Friendly, yet there are no issues with this feature (ie, excessive barking, surprise packages left behind). We will return. We camped at Golden Pine RV Park in a Motorhome.

New Shady Rest Campground, Mammoth Lakes, California

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Had site #27 or #28? Large enough for my 37'MH and small toad in front. Great location in town close to all shops and eateries (McDonald's across street within walking distance). Quiet throughout the day and evening. Has lots of trees and gets real dark when the sun goes down. I was able to get a satellite signal and Verizon cell worked fine. Dump station at entry and water fill. Fairly well shaded and spaced well from other sites. I would and will return! We camped at New Shady Rest Campground in a Motorhome.

Grand Canyon Railway RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The price reflects a package deal for 3 nights plus the train ride. We had a side by side pull through site with our travel companions. Williams Arizona is a quaint little town and the RV Park is right in the center. Sites were level, water and power used with NO issues. I was not sure about campgrounds in Williams when I was planning this trip, but I would stay here again. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lakeside Casino & RV Park , Pahrump, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

I have stayed at Terrible's on a few occasions now. As other poster's have noticed, some area's of the Park are not being maintained at the same level as before, BUT I still enjoy the setting of the Park with the grass and trees. My rate was the Passport rate and we stayed here three nights. Having the Casino and Restaurant within walking distance is a plus. I wish they would take a little better care of the Lake itself and turn the waterfall back on. All in all, I will be going back. We camped at Lakeside Casino & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nevada Treasure RV Resort & Spa, Pahrump, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

While I thought this campground was excellent in many ways, its a tad further out of town than I expected. Some area's of the Park could stand some maintenance related work(ie, pool area, water fall). No real shade to speak of but all the hook ups were reliable. My one big complaint was that while I paid a Passport rate of 28.00 a night while at the RV park, I received an E-mail advising me of a special offer of, purchase two nights and get the third free (at the 25.00 rate). Since the Park was a ghost town, I wondered why the passport rate was more? I never received an answer hence I wont go back to an RV Park with NO integrity! We camped at Nevada Treasure RV Resort & Spa in a Motorhome.
