Beachwood RV Resort, Blaine, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2010
Overall Rating:

This park overbooks during the holidays and turns away their members because they have no sites available even though they made reservations months in advance. If you are lucky you can be put in overflow which is usually in the parking lot next to the dumpster. I have been a member of K&M for a few years and in the past couple of years the park has gone downhill in the way of maintenance and cleanliness. The patrons of this park do not obey the quiet time rule and are partying till all hours of the night, and security wont do anything about it. Speed limit is 7 MPH and most people go well over that and nothing is done about it. I am selling my membership and going to Thousand Trails. We camped at Beachwood RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Thousand Trails - Birch Bay, Blaine, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

I was at the park at the same time as the person who wrote the prior review for July 2010. The reason the pool was closed is because earlier in the weekend someone's child defecated in the pool, causing them to close it to clean to make it safe for people to swim in. The fire pits have to be rented because they have lost many to people stealing them, and that is the reason they have so few to rent out. I did not see or smell any mold or mildew in any restroom I used throughout my stay. The restrooms were very clean and were cleaned quite often. The sites and roads are dirt and gravel because NACO/Thousand Trails believes in leaving the parks as natural as possible. If people didn't speed through the park the dust wouldn't be so bad. Yes the Internet is really slow and not available at the sites but at least it is free. We camped at Thousand Trails - Birch Bay in a Travel Trailer.
