About Newbet

We just downsized from a class A to a smaller Class C. Not traveling quite so much but are excited with the smaller rig. Both of us should be able to drive it. We have also relocated to New Mexico.

Stagecoach RV Park, St Augustine, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our quiet spot. We have lovely trees and a place to put our chairs up and enjoy the surroundings. This is an older park judging by the size of the trees. We were attending a reunion held in various venues of St. Augustine. It was not a long drive to the city. The other campers were all friendly. Didn't hear a complaint. We camped at Stagecoach RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Just enjoy St. Augustine. It's moved up to being my "fav." Parking down town is not good. So be prepared to walk. The restaurants are out of this world and people are so very friendly. The sidewalks are in good shape and always clean. Some many interesting old buildings. You need 3 or 4 days here.

Avalon Landing RV Park, Milton, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

Very pretty older park. It's built around water access and in a pretty setting. I thought t he price was too high. Managers were friendly and helpful with directions. It is conveniently located 1/2 mile off I 10. We camped at Avalon Landing RV Park in a Motorhome.

We saw people fishing from the little bridge. There were boats to rent as well. Looks like lots of little trails and a good dog walk. Pet friendly.

Frog City RV Park, Duson, Louisiana

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We like this little park. Very quiet - .back from the highway. Very convenient. We have stayed here many times and appreciate the warm cookies and dog treat welcome. It's clean and the gravel spaces are well spaced. Nice landscaping that is well maintained. Not warm enough to use their nice pool. We camped at Frog City RV Park in a Motorhome.

They have many opportunities to tour things but we are always rushed. The Tabasco factory is nearby and there are plenty of Cajan places to eat in the area.

Timber Ridge RV Park, Bryan, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

The park is clean and quiet. It has concrete pads and decent space. It has no tables and charges an extra $4.00 a day for electricity. Trees around the edge and lots of grass. They could have at least made a picnic area. We will find another park next trip. We camped at Timber Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice park. Just opened for the season. Lovely shaded older park. Nice space between RV's. Friendly host and owners onside. Very good WiFi but Verizon is on and off here. Probably the big mountains. Lots of deer wandering in the park. We camped at Deer Springs RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hidden Falls Cabins & RV Park, Nebraska City, Nebraska

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a campground that was quickly set up for people coming through doing construction. There are cement pads but huge rocks in the drive make it very hard to walk. This is not a suitable park for anyone with mobility problems. No pull throughs. The park was quiet at night and sites were well spaced but the park was not well maintained. Grass was long and it was hard to connect with the office to make a reservation. The park is located in an industrial area and adjacent to a soccer field. It does have access to two major roads but we had a hard time finding it. We camped at Hidden Falls Cabins & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Oak Creek RV Park, Weatherford, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a lovely park. Lots of big trees and sites are nicely spaced. There are permanent folks there but their sites are so attractive that it's fun to walk around and look at them. They are intermingled throughout the park. The host is so friendly and helpful. They have other parks in Tulsa and somewhere in Arkansas. Hope to check out those as well. We camped at Oak Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hacienda RV Resort, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very nicely located to Highway 10. Attractive sites. Nice arrangement so each has privacy. Good dog run (but gets muddy from irrigation). Just a mile from Old Messina. We try to always stay here. It's very nice and has a great gift shop too!

If you have small children or are hard of hearing like I am -- be aware of the traffic in the park. I felt that people drove their rigs dangerously fast as they came in. We were startled to have a double axel honk at us because we were close to the road. They need to do some speed checks. Also be aware that there are skunks around if you walk at night. We camped at Hacienda RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Apache Flats RV Resort (Military FamCamp), Sierra Vista, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Wow - what a great place to stay. Lots of space and we had a level concrete pad. We loved seeing all the animals - deer, turkey, and wild boar. They have good dog runs too. Great location to explore Tombstone, Bisbee and a Sierra Vista. We loved our stay there. Friendly staff too. We camped at Apache Flats RV Resort (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Distant Drums RV Resort, Camp Verde, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Although this park can hold lots of people, the sites are designed so that you have a small patio, a place to park, a little tree and something to look at other than your neighbor. It's a very attractive park. There is a great dog run with shade. Also a nice pool. The people who work there are awesome. One thing that was a problem was that Verizon didn't work so well - sometimes not at all. But the lovely ladies at the desk were great in finding places where I could get reception in their building. This is a central place to stay and you can explore all around you. We camped at Distant Drums RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pony Express RV Resort, North Salt Lake, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

There are only 3 parks worth looking at in Salt Lake. This is the best one. It's very accessible to HW 15. It's in an industrial area and is well maintained. The sites are close to each other but they do offer a bit of grass and a tree as well as a table. They have good security and seem to have good managers. We camped at Pony Express RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Gateway FamCamp (Military FamCamp), Malmstrom AFB, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Plenty of space between parking pads. Surrounded by grass (much of which is green). Concrete Pads and paved interior. Someone has planted tomatoes at most sites but I think the frost will get them soon. This is a quiet, well tended, park. Figuring out the parking configuration may be tricky so you might want to walk around and see where to park. We were happy with our site. We camped at Gateway FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Great Falls is a fun place to visit. We loved going to the C.E. Russell Museum. Also got great pictures of the falls and dam. I wouldn't mind coming back here again. It's a nice small city, very friendly, fam camp is convenient to the base but not on it. No getting on and off worries.

Sleeping Buffalo Hot Springs, Saco, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This park is in the process of being developed into a destination spot. Once the pools are complete, it should be nice. There are nice cabins as well. The RV park is gravel with full hook ups. Very dry here. They have had a drought so it's not attractive. No WiFi. Verizon phones work. The weather was windy and cold so we were not outside much. Had we wanted to use the fire ring, we would have had to clean it as it was full of butts and other junk. We camped at Sleeping Buffalo Hot Springs in a Motorhome.
