Lake Siskiyou Beach and Camp, Mount Shasta, California
Date of Stay:
October, 2016 -
$28.00
Overall Rating:
Been coming to this park for years and generally had a favorable impression. Not this time. We were there for a week and the men's room was not cleaned once. Someone spilled coffee behind a toilet. This was not cleaned up the whole week. A shower drain was plugged and the place was a swamp the entire time. I alerted the office that there was no toilet paper in the men's room, and there continued to be none the rest of the time we were there. They do have a soap dispenser now by the sink which is a welcome improvement from past years. We camped at Lake Siskiyou Beach and Camp in a Motorhome.
We ate at Lily's restaurant in Mt. Shasta which was pricey but good.

Veteran's Memorial Park, Monterey, California
Date of Stay:
September, 2010 -
$27.00
Overall Rating:
Very nice park, though it's a bit of a climb up a steep windy road. Campsites are along a scenic wooded hillside. Reasonable rate for pricey Monterey. Restrooms are rather skimpy for number of campsites. Only one toilet in men room, for example. Very quiet the night we were there. Recommended! We camped at Veteran's Memorial Park in a Motorhome.

Moss Landing KOA Express, Moss Landing, California
Date of Stay:
September, 2010 -
$67.00
Overall Rating:
This is a very basic park with few amenities. Spaces are close together and the predominate landscaping theme is concrete. It is ridiculously overpriced at $67.50 per night. No discounts for AAA or Good Sam. The check-in clerk was friendly. We camped at Moss Landing KOA Express in a Motorhome.
