Camp A Way, Lincoln, Nebraska

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

This is our first stay here. The park is very close to I-80 but the traffic noise was negligible. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our site was fairly level and big enough to allow us to remain hitched. It was easy to get into and out of. We camped at Camp A Way in a Fifth Wheel.

Holiday RV Park, North Platte, Nebraska

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park to spend a few days in. North Platte is a nice little community, altho the choice for grocery stores left a lot to be desired. The laundry in the park is very clean and reasonably priced. The park is easy to access from I-80 and, even tho the freeway is close, the traffic noise is negligible. We have stayed here before and would recommend it to friends. The staff was helpful and the entire park is very neat and tidy. We camped at Holiday RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a good meal at a restaurant very close by, Whiskey Creek. You can walk to it from the park.

Terry Bison Ranch Resort, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

This is a good place for one night. The site is large enough to leave the truck hitched. The park is four miles from the state border, a little way off of I-80 but really easy to get to. We have been here before and will probably return and would recommend it to friends. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Rock Springs / Green River KOA, Rock Springs, Wyoming

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

We were here five years ago and I must say, nothing has changed. It is still a gravel parking lot with a view of the 'tank farm'. The only redeeming grace is that it exists because there is no other game in town. It is easy to access off the freeway. I can stand one night there!! The price far outreaches what you get in return. The staff was nice, even when they informed me, with a straight face, that one load of laundry would cost me $5 total, wash and dry!! Highway robbery for sure. We camped at Rock Springs / Green River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Salt Lake City KOA, Salt Lake City, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Since this is the only game in town we are forced to pay the high price. It is convenient to downtown SLC and to our friends. On the whole it is probably better than most of the KOA parks we have stayed at in terms of site size and ease of access. We camped at Salt Lake City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Very close to all of the normal touristy sights to be found in Salt Lake City. Close to a grocery store. Close to the metro line and there is a free shuttle/tour van which will take you to see important LDS church sights.

Ambassador RV Resort, Caldwell, Idaho

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park with large pull-throughs adjoining concrete patios with picnic tables. The only downside is the extremely large gravel in the pull-through area. It is very soft and the truck and RV really bogged down plowing through. Required a little leveling. The whole park is very neat and tidy. There are many full time rigs around the outer perimeter but they appeared to be well cared for and policed by the park. They were not unsightly. The staff was friendly and we were guided to our site. There is a nice swimming pool and hot tub and a paved trail around the outside perimeter of the park to walk your dog. There are trees planted about every three sites but there is not very much shade in actuality. It is very convenient to the freeway and easy to find/access. We would return again. We camped at Ambassador RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Wildhorse Resort and Casino RV Park, Pendleton, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at this park many times. It is convenient to I-84 as well as to friends in the area. It is basically clean with fairly level blacktop pull-throughs and rather unkempt grassy areas between each rig. There are wooden picnic tables. The park continues to exhibit a rather run down look which is sad because it could be much better. We will return because it is so convenient for us. We camped at Wildhorse Resort and Casino RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Columbia Sun RV Resort, Kennewick, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely park, wth level gravel sites with concrete pads for accompanying picnic table. Well kept grassy area between each site. Friendly staff, large pull-throughs, cable and Wi-Fi. Easy on and off from the highway. Disc golf as well as a nice swimming pool area. Only downside was we didn't know and they did not alert us to the fact that they are a Passport America park! We camped at Columbia Sun RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Happy Time RV Park, Dunnigan, California

Date of Stay: February, 2015 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

We had a medical emergency which necessitated our stay at this park. The staff has been more than helpful and the residents we have had contact with have been kind and helpful also. This is not a park we would have normally elected to stay for a long period of time in, but it has proven to be a blessing to us. The rate quoted is for a stay that lasted more than a month. The site is level, a pull thru and we have 30 amp. There are 50 amp sites as well. We are near a truck stop and I-5 but the noise has not been a problem. We are 16 miles from the city of Woodland. This would be a great overnight stay. We camped at Happy Time RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Casa Grande RV Resort , Casa Grande, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects the monthly rate. Electric is charged separately. Each site has a cement patio and are fairly easy to get into. They are all back in sites with parking next to the passenger side of the rig. Park is very quiet, very clean. Staff is friendly and eager to serve. A goodly number of activities are provided. The park is 95% trailers and motorhomes, with only a few park models which are rented. This makes a difference in the residents we have found. Large laundry facilities priced reasonably. Far enough out of the main city to be quiet, but close enough to access as the shopping and restaurants. We will certainly stay here again. We camped at Casa Grande RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Santa Nella RV Park, Santa Nella, California

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This was a reasonably priced park, good for an overnight stay. Staff was friendly and since the park is older and the sites are close together they allowed us to park diagonally in two spaces so we did not have to unhook. There was an open field to one side of the park that apparently a lot of folks took their dogs as it was filled with dog poop. Other than that the park seemed clean. It was off the freeway enough so that the freeway noise was not noticeable. Close to an In and Out restaurant, our first since leaving the south. We would return to this park, as a passing through place. We camped at Santa Nella RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Mountain Valley RV Park, Tehachapi, California

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This was a nice, clean park with pull through sites which allowed us to remain hooked up. They were easy to get into and out of. It was easy to get to the park itself, off of the freeway. Very quiet, very clean. No sewer but there is a dump site in the park. The manager was very friendly and helpful. The price was fair. Lots of space to walk our dog. We would return here as an overnight stop again. We camped at Mountain Valley RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Havasu Falls RV Resort, Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Price includes a 'discount' for paying with a check. Office staff processed our entry efficiently. Dog areas were pitifully small enclosures, hardly big enough for anyone. The park itself seemed clean and cared for. Beautiful clubhouse. The sites were fairly close but were long enough for us to remain hooked up. This park is a good overnight stay, although we felt it was pretty expensive. We would probably find a less expensive place to go to next time. We camped at Havasu Falls RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Jack's Landing RV Resort, Grants Pass, Oregon

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Good park for an overnight. Sites are big enough so we did not have to unhook. Easy to get to from the freeway. Downside is the fact that the park is right next to I-5 and the noise is quite evident, even with all of our windows closed. It would be worse in the summer if your windows were open. The office staff was efficient. The park was clean. The dog area was just the median between the freeway and the park. It was fenced. We would stop by here again for a one nighter only. We camped at Jack's Landing RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
