Mountain Home RV Park, Mountain Home, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This park is an excellent place and we have stopped many times. It is easy to access with long paved sites and well kept green grass as well as shade trees which are maturing nicely. The restroom/shower rooms are very clean and large. It is quiet and the staff are friendly. The rate reflects a GS discount. We will return. We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wildhorse Resort and Casino RV Park, Pendleton, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here previously because it is convenient. This year the park appeared a little less unkempt although the laundry room was none too clean and the grass was still brown and spotty. The swimming pool was a most popular place and the sites are easy to access. The staff is not particularly friendly, but as a stop over the park is convenient, as stated. After having been to some other native American casino RV parks, this park could be so much better if given a little tender, loving care. We camped at Wildhorse Resort and Casino RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Brookhollow RV Park, Kelso, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We have returned to this park several times as it is basically the only park worth staying at in the area. The sites are nicely laid out, paved, with tables. There are lots of mature trees and green grass and it is a very quiet park. The staff is friendly. My only complaint is that the rates are fairly high when staying for long times. We will most certainly return. We camped at Brookhollow RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Wenatchee River County Park, Monitor, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is an all together perfect park. Lots of mature shade trees, green grass, paved sites with picnic tables and fire pits, river frontage with inviting chairs to sit down in so as to contemplate the peaceful views, friendly and helpful staff, truly a perfect park. The only downside I could fine would be the highway noise since the park is right alongside a major road, but even that paled when compared with all the other positives. Will certainly return. We camped at Wenatchee River County Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Three Flags RV Park, Black Hawk, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects Passport America discount. Park is situated right along I-90 but, amazingly, there is not a lot of highway noise. The setting is quite lovely if you ignore the freeway part. Mostly pull thrus. We had cable access at our site and the WiFi worked fine. Our site was sufficiently long for us to remain hitched to our pick up. The site was not too level though. Gravel and grass, no trees. Good place for a pass thru one nighter. We would return or recommend this park. We camped at Three Flags RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park, Mitchell, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Fairly nice, small park just off I-90. The freeway noise is not bothersome. There is a train track as well but it is not used often. We heard two trains in our two day stay. Sites are level with some grass and a picnic table. Pull thrus were easy to access and there were a lot of large rigs that came in and out while we were visiting. There is a swimming pool which appeared popular. Staff was very friendly. Good place for a short stay, we would return. We camped at Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Onawa / Blue Lake KOA, Onawa, Iowa

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Probably the nicest KOA we have ever stayed in. Long pull through site that accommodated our truck and 35' fiver without unhooking. Level, shaded and graveled site including a picnic table and fire pit. Clean and reasonably priced laundry. Nice pool as well. Permanents appeared kept up. Price quoted reflects a KOA coupon we had for one night free. Staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay here again if in the area. Millions of fireflies came out at dusk. We camped at Onawa / Blue Lake KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Elkhart County Fairgrounds, Goshen, Indiana

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We were here for a rally involving 248 fifth wheels. The campground was very accommodating to our large group. We were in the infield, right next to the track where we would watch the horses work out. Our Wi-fi worked well as did our Tailgator (after much jockeying around). It was a great venue and we look forward to the next rally in 2015. Lovely countryside, a lot to see and do. We camped at Elkhart County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

D & W Lake Camping and RV Park, Champaign, Illinois

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small park situated on the banks of what was a former barrow pit but is now a nice little lake, stocked with blue gill I am told. We are just off I-57 but far enough away for the park to be very quiet. We are about five miles away from shopping and restaurants. There are some back in sites and more pull throughs as well as some tent sites. The spaces are large and easy to access and each has a fire pit and a table. WiFi works well as does our Tailgator. The staff is friendly and helpful. We would most certainly stay here again. We camped at D & W Lake Camping and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Honey Bend Resort, Litchfield, Illinois

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Price reflects a Coast-to-Coast discount. This park could be a very nice place but it is rundown and needs a lot of work. The sites are somewhat difficult to access and the staff was confused about what was available. Sites share utilities and that is confusing also. No park Wi-Fi or cable available. The park is very rural and quiet except for the train that goes through about four times a day. We didn't find that a problem. Our hotspot works intermittently. Satellite does work. Laundry is clean and reasonably priced. Five and a half miles outside of Litchfield. We would return mainly because of the price. We camped at Honey Bend Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Lazy Day Campground, Danville, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects Good Neighbor Park discount. This is a lovely little gem of a campground. On a hilltop just off I70 in a very rural and quiet area. Some pull throughs, as well as back ins. Graveled, level and very accessible. Grassy areas, picnic tables at each spot. Clean, inexpensive laundry area. Bathroom/laundry areas served us as a storm shelter during a tornado warning. Very concerned and caring staff. Just a wonderful place. We would most certainly return if we are ever in the area again. Highly recommend this park to anyone. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Price reflects American Legion discount. Park sufficient for a short stay. Thorns spoken of previously are prevalent in the grassy areas. Sites were fairly level and easy to access. Park just off the freeway, but the noise was negligible. Met by very friendly owner. We would return again. We camped at High Plains Camping in a Fifth Wheel.
