Arndt's Aroostook River Lodge & Campground, Presque Isle, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We spent 1 month traveling around Maine, staying at several campgrounds that had direct access to the multitude of ATV/UTV trails. Arndt's is one of the top spots that we stayed at. The campsites are located on a terraced hill overlooking the beautiful river valley. We enjoyed sitting outside & watching the sunsets, overseas-bound planes, & stars. The owners obviously care about the attractiveness of the facility. They maintained several groomed walking trails among the numerous wildflowers & woods. It was easy to get to the multi-use rail trail that runs along the Aroostook River. We camped at Arndt's Aroostook River Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

Vedauwoo Campground USFS, Laramie, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This is an absolutely beautiful, magical place with all the unusual rock formations & open land. The campground is easy to get to from I80 & has paved roads & parking pads. We enjoyed hiking around the rocks & watching the climbers. The only reason I didn't rate it a 10, is that there were only pit toilets. We camped at Vedauwoo Campground USFS in a Motorhome.

Fort McCoy / Lake Oklawaha KOA, Fort McCoy, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is a large lovely resort set on a bluff overlooking Lake Oklawaha. We chose this park because it is ATV/UTV friendly with direct access to the 150+ miles of OHV trails in the Ocala National Forest. The staff is helpful & the environs well-cared for. The sites are grassy & a few are unlevel, but there are so many sites to chose from that it is not a problem. Its out in the country so its very quiet. We camped at Fort McCoy / Lake Oklawaha KOA in a Motorhome.

Greenbrier River Campground, Alderson, West Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Nice place right alongside the river for boaters & floaters. Stayed only one night though because the highway noise & trains kept us awake most of the night. We camped at Greenbrier River Campground in a Motorhome.

Tallahassee East Campground , Monticello, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The interior roads are in bad shape....sandy with deep pot holes. The grassy sites had tall weeds that needed to be mowed. There were some unsightly permanent rvs. They did offer a nice free breakfast & the hosts were friendly. We camped at Tallahassee East Campground in a Motorhome.

BJ's Campground, Lusk, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access from the main road between northern CO and the Black Hills of SD. In a quiet neighborhood across the street from a small park. Very friendly owners. Laundry room closes at 7 PM, which is inconvenient unless you're staying for 2 nights. I always pick up after my dog, but if you don't the sh** will be sent to you in the mail - really(?). We camped at BJ's Campground in a Motorhome.

Cool Breeze Campground , Galax, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly, helpful manager. We chose an easy back-in site with a nice view of the surrounding hills & farms. The restrooms & laundry in the club house/office were exceptionally clean & large. Very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Just wished they had a pool for the warm summer afternoons. We camped at Cool Breeze Campground in a Motorhome.

Coffee Creek RV Resort, Santo, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2011 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent RV Resort. The owners eager to please, beautiful pool & hot tub, clean modern restrooms & laundry room. No trashy-looking sites occupied by long-term people. Didn't give it a 10 because there is some freeway noise when the wind is out of the south. We camped at Coffee Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.
