Millersylvania State Park, Olympia, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

I reserved an individual and group site for a company outing. The sites located on the north side of the campground have plenty of room. Water and electric are avaible. There is a dump site next to the campground. The pay showers are clean. There are bike and hiking trails. The lake although crowded is fine for families. Dependent on your site satellite tv is achievable. We camped at Millersylvania State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

7.6 miles of biking trails. 8.6 miles of hiking trails. Boating, fishing, kayaking, swimming, birdwatching available. There is a grill which serves hotdogs, burgers, pizza and they have ice. Campfire wood is available also. The group site could easily fit 30 people with tents. The group kitchen is covered and has running water and 120 plug outlets.

Kodachrome Basin State Park, Cannonville, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent location as you're relatively close to Escalante and Bryce. Absolutely beautify campground. If you are looking for hookups ensure you reserve early. Although dry camping offers wonderful sites as well. Be cognizant of the weather as its gets hella hot! The campground in a basin, so forget about any cell service. We've camped throughout the West and use our repeater often and we find usually find service. You must drive a minimum of 5 miles and hope for service. Great hikes in this area, but the colors and rock formations are out of this world. We camped at Kodachrome Basin State Park in a Motorhome.

Hikes throughout the area. If you're towing an off road vehicle may roads to explore. I would most defiantly advise an additional vehicle as there are trailheads near by and accessible. I would suggest this campground as opposed to the other options in Escalante for sure. Just a wonderful state park. It doesn't disappoint!

Susan Creek Campground, Roseburg, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Incredible dry camping facility...The sites are raked prior to entering and in excellent condition. Most sites are spacious with foliage in between for privacy. You can reserve some sites thru Recreation.gov. There are some premium sites adjacent with the river. The camp hosts are considerate and helpful. They make rounds routinely. At least twice a day DNR Rangers drive thru. All sites have fire pits. Some have above ground barbecues. Fire wood is readily available. If you kayak, there are entrances and exits near by. Fishing is available but you must release. There is also a moderate beach area next to the campground for families and sun lovers. Exceptionally clean sites. We camped at Susan Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Great hiking and bike riding and kayaking...The falls trial is about 1.0 miles from the campground. Its ADA accessible and the falls are beautiful. About 1.5 miles from the campground there is a trail which follows the Umpqua river. You can hike or bike. Slight elevation change.

Clearlake RV Resort, Clearlake, California

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We arived in a 29 foot motorhome towing a jeep. We found Clearlake RV Resort to be a wonderful stop. The owner operator was most helpful and informative with what to see and do in the area. Our site was right on the water. Across from the campground is a wildlife preserve named Anderson marsh, which is a California state historic park. There are hikes and bird watching aplenty. They have kayaks available for those that are into that as well. If you're into fishing, campers are catching fish from their campsite. If we were traveling through the area we again we would most definitely return. We camped at Clearlake RV Resort in a Motorhome.
