Twin Fountains RV Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

No need to repeat what others have said. This is a great park. Wi-Fi is great. We got more TV channels from the OTA antenna. Most of the noise comes from NE 63rd St which is in front of the park. Small store with some RV stuff, book exchange, DVDs. Laundry facilities, storm shelter, propane. Make sure to see the Memorial/museum in town. We camped at Twin Fountains RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lakeside Casino Resort RV Park, Osceola, Iowa

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

It is OK for overnight. There is no wi-fi even with a Crane Wi-Fi antenna. I Tethered AN android phone to laptop with T-Mobile. There are no signs to RV park, it is obvious though. Pick a site, jot down site # and RV plate number and hike, bike, drive, walk (or call shuttle) to Casino entrance/valet parking. I picked up three digital tv stations using RVs antenna. We camped at Lakeside Casino Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

Turtle Lake RV Park, Turtle Lake, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Nothing really spectacular about the park, but it is a nice place to stay for a few nights. Right now there are a few permanents and a few other RVer's, so it is quiet. Pool has re-opened (based on an above post). Sites are flat and gravel. Most are pull through and 50 amp. FYI-check-in is at the liquor store. We would stay here again. We camped at Turtle Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Elkhart County Fairgrounds, Goshen, Indiana

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in conjunction with a Rally. The grounds are nice and well kept. Sites are adequate, parked on gravel. Wi-Fi is best early morning but there also 300 rigs here so that might slow down connection speeds. The trains! Rumbling through day and night, loud horns! We would have left after the first night had we not been here for the rally. Convenient to attractions, but I would not return do to the excessive train noise, especially at night. We camped at Elkhart County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Hickory Hollow Campground, Utica, Illinois

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Passport America rate for E/W. Very nice park off the freeway but no noise. Wi-Fi works great. T-Mobile signal not too good though. High water pressure so make sure you have a regulator. Interior roads are gravel, some of the FHU sites have concrete pads for parking. Lots of tent sites, some walking trails through out the wooded areas. We are stopping here again on our way back home! We camped at Hickory Hollow Campground in a Motorhome.

Burlington Bay Campground, Two Harbors, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park. They must have improved the Wi-Fi. We watched a movie on Hulu (w/no buffering). Pet friendly. There can be long lines at the dump station so plan ahead. Firewood available. Nice views of Lake Superior. Boat launch nearby. We camped at Burlington Bay Campground in a Motorhome.

Lakehead Boat Basin, Duluth, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

The Marina is getting prepared to build a 9 story hotel, so the permanent showers and restrooms are no longer operable. The temp facilities are portable toilets and showers. Even though you are parked on blacktop, you can't beat the location. There is a boat ramp available. Wi-Fi is $2.00 per night. We used T-Mobile tethered to laptop for internet, not blazing speed, but worked. We've parked (not camped) here before and WILL return. We camped at Lakehead Boat Basin in a Motorhome.

Cottonwoods RV Park, Columbia, Missouri

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. We were here early in the season, so the pool was not open. Has a children's playground, nice store with antiques for sale. Had no problem parking at the site. Trees were trimmed properly. Had paved roads and gravel sites that are fairly level. TV reception is adequate, Wi-Fi is good (using it right now). Will return. We camped at Cottonwoods RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tifton KOA, Tifton, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

OK park for overnight. Gravel roads. Lot of perms in back of park. It was a quiet Saturday evening, but on Sunday morning at 7 AM the wrenching started next door at the trucking firm. The impact wrenches from truck repairs was very loud. Pool was not open yet. We camped at Tifton KOA in a Motorhome.

Sumter Oaks RV Park - Escapees Rainbow Park, Bushnell, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2011 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here as Escapee members so we were given the lower rate plus electricity. We arrived after the main office closed and were helped by a few of the nearby RVers. Nice park but we just over night. Will return for a longer stay. We camped at Sumter Oaks RV Park - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.

Sarasota Sunny South RV & Mobile Home Resort (55+ park), Sarasota, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2011 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for the month, hence the $27 rate. The rates are increasing substantially for 2011/12. $49.50 per night, $275/week and $975/month. This is a very nice park, clean, well run and (dog) friendly. There is a fair amount of vehicle traffic if you are set up on Doud St or Hively St, both connect to U.S.41 from the residential neighborhood. The west end of the park is less than two blocks from US 41 so there IS noise from the high way as well as the car dealership(s). The park is close to many things to see and do as others have posted. Given the huge rate increase, it is unlikely we will stay here again. We camped at Sarasota Sunny South RV & Mobile Home Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.
