Base Camp RV Park (formerly Hunter RV Park), Lakeview, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly people in the office, level gravel sites, very good wi fi, quiet place, geiser next door.... some sites have trees and some are open. Not a fancy place. They said they are trying to upgrade all sites to 50 amps. We have stayed here before and will be sure to do so again. We camped at Base Camp RV Park (formerly Hunter RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Jantzen Beach RV Park, Portland, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This park is on an island in the Columbia river. In order to go North to Washington or South to the mainland of Oregon, you need to get on the I-5 freeway which can have extremely heavy traffic quite a bit of the time.

The sites are paved and narrow but have grassy areas. Parking at the site for the toad is OK if you have a short RV. We had to be extra careful when maneuvering our 40 ft RV in the park and into and out of our space. Some sites have lots of shade, some are open. We camped at Jantzen Beach RV Park in a Motorhome.

Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park, Redmond, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is clean and well laid out. Our site in row C was level with good parking for the toad. We stayed here 14 days. The only bad thing I have to say about the park is that while the WIFI is open and included and I was able to connect to it but was NEVER able to get connected through it to the internet. I had to use my phone as a hotspot. Taxes are an additional $3.67. We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Motorhome.

Countryside Adult and Senior RV Park, Sedalia, Missouri

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 8 nights on the way to Branson coming from the North. It's on the West side of 65 and the entry to the park is very difficult if you are in the right lane going South as it's a very narrow driveway with curbing on the sides. You might be able to enter if you are in the left lane or center lane. We had to go past and come back from the South and then you have no problem getting into the entry. The park is vary open and it is very easy to maneuver around the place. There isn't much within walking distance of the park. We would definitely stay there again. We camped at Countryside Adult and Senior RV Park in a Motorhome.

Terrace Gardens RV Park, Oberlin, Kansas

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

The owner of this park is very pleasant and friendly. In fact he has a nice golf cart which he lets you use to go into the downtown area for shopping or dining and it's really fun to drive it around. The park is in a very quiet neighborhood. The voltage at our site was very high: above 130 volts inside the coach and our Progressive Industries protection device shut down our power several times before we bypassed it. The owner says high voltage is normal here and because of that we won't be stopping here without calling to see if the voltage is at a normal level. Other than the voltage, I would give this park a higher rating. The owner goes South for the winter and leaves the park open on an honorary fee box. The park belongs to CampClubUSA so fees would be $10 if you are a member. We camped at Terrace Gardens RV Park in a Motorhome.

Carmela RV Park, Glenns Ferry, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Lots of trees in the park make it difficult to find a site able to see the 3 satellites needed for Dish Network HD but we were able to park on one of the roads and still reach all hookups. The restaurant in the winery across the street has very good food at medium prices. Some sites can get wi-fi from the winery but they say they will have it available in the park in 2009. We camped at Carmela RV Park in a Motorhome.

Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2006 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

PA rate $15. Friendly people at the desk, we were in a site close to I40 so there was some highway noise, but you can be quite a bit further away from it... about 4 miles west of the edge of town next door to Camping World and an RV dealership. It was extremely windy for 2 days... and there is no protection from the wind... the sites have connections for 2 RVs at one location.. makes for very wide space curbside and close together on driver side... easy wide gravel interior roads.. LOTS of puzzles in the main building. If it wasn't for the wind, it was great. We camped at Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post in a Motorhome.

Riverside RV Resort & Campground, Arcadia, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2006 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The PO for this campground is actually Arcadia, FL but it is MUCH closer to Port Charlotte. I think the reason there are so few recent reviews for this park is that everyone wants to keep it secret. 2005-6 was our 2nd winter here. It is usually full Dec-March. Many people have been wintering here for several years. Most friendly park I've ever been to, with nearly too many organized activities. Great friendly staff. Highly recommended it if you can get space. We are going back in 2006-7. There are a few rental trailers available. Great for kayakers: right on the Peace River. No park models. We camped at Riverside RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.
